  1. Got one. Thanks for all your offers!
  2. You have PM (and a phone message to follow up )
  3. ABS?
  4. Can anyone confirm the difference between ABS and non-ABS models? My car has ABS and I've got someone sending me a pic of a diff and I'm not sure what to look for to make sure it's compatible...
  5. Hi all, Well the diff on my 33 is nackered, and I'm hoping that just replacing the centre will be cheaper than getting it rebuilt... what have you got? Needs to be in good condition, preferably even a recently reco'd one would be awesome... Would consider an aftermarket one if it will just bolt up, don't wanna do too much messing around though.
  6. Location? and what's the condition of the R33 diff and front brake setups?
  7. +1 on that... also how many KM's?
  8. This is to fit an R33 yeah? would it fit a gtst, or only GTR? willing to post?
  9. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable with the R33 gtst diffs? I doubt it, but if so I'll probably take it (depending on condition and your location)

Tonight around 5:45pm on Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley, guy in an R35 (must've noticed me gawking ) put down his window and commented that his son had "one of those" (was in the 33) and that "they're a good car - especially that model". I offered a swap but unfortunately he wasn't up for it . He mentioned that he worked for Nissan, but I'm not sure if the car is his or just a work one. Doubt it's anyone on here, though perhaps the son could be? If you drive an R33, have an (older I think) brother who drives a 370z and a dad who works for Nissan and possibly owns an R35... Hi!
  11. I pretty much agree with everything that's been said - don't be an idiot and you shouldn't have too much trouble. Yes, you're gonna get more attention than if you drove a little Corolla - but if you keep the mods discreet (i.e. no massive loud exhaust, neons, other 'bling', etc) and you're not on P's, you shouldn't be too unlucky. When I was on P's, in my practically stock N/A 33, I would get pulled up all the time ("RBT" of course... pfft!) - never actually even accused of doing anything wrong (i.e. speeding or skids or whatever) but mainly the cops just wanting to check the power/weight issue (i.e. looking under the bonnet for a turbo) and try to defect the car on principle - just to get it off the road I guess (got 2 canaries in about 2 years... once my rear tyres were a little on the baldish side - fair enough, the other time because my aftermarket steering wheel "didn't have enough padding"). Since I got off my P's, I've only been pulled up twice - once because my rego had expired the day before (my bad, just happened to get a certain well-known import-hating copper from the Knox area, so no warning for me! ) and another time because I overtook an undercover cop (again, my bad!). I've got a FMIC, zorst, etc but I don't drive like a moron and I've not had any real trouble with the boys in blue. Doesn't mean I don't get nervous if I'm ever being followed by one though!
  12. Even easier way? You take off the little piece of rubber hose that goes from the outlet of the BOV to the solid pipe which goes to the intake, shove a coke-bottle lid down about halfway, and put the hose back on as it was. The air can't get out because of the bottle lid and it still looks stock!

Tonight saw a very clean black Stagea with SAU stickers, WGN-342, at the kebab caravan in Hallam. I was the guy in the white 33 packed full of mates! Lol had to explain to all of them what a Stagea was

Spotted a white S2 R33, plates ECR-333 on Burwood Highway in Ferntree Gully about 20 minutes ago... I was in the Lancer...
  16. Read this thread on the topic... but basically it's not worth it.
  17. Unfortunately that's one of the ones where they just made up a new aussie VIN rather than the usual prefixing the jap one with 6U90000. You're gonna need to get the jap VIN off the firewall, as there's nothing we can do from the engine no or aussie VIN (my 33 was the same...).

Last night (maybe 5:30ish) followed a R35 GTR (GDZZLR) down the monash - got off at Ferntree Gully Road. Today, about 2:30, saw BEZA on Springvale Rd in Springvale, was in the white 33 having some fun with the Porsche in front of me (mate who works at Porsche has a Cayman for the weekend )
  19. post your VIN number (from the firewall or blue compliance plate as per the first post) in this thread, and someone should be able to help you out.
  20. Doesn't appear to be a V Spec...
  21. Got them. This thread can be closed. Cheers!
  22. Hey guys, Just got the engine in my 33 gtst rebuilt and the engine mounts are cracked... anyone got either a pair of stockers or aftermarket that will fit? It's the S1 with HICAS if that makes any difference. I'm in VIC S.E. Suburbs and can pick up TONIGHT with CASH. Cheers, Sam.
  23. Nope... 5 speed manual (MT.F5)
