Well i think i have it sorted now, the cat light is used as a warning light by the power fc on the r32's for injector max, afm max, and knock, obviously since i had the hand controller hooked up i could see it wasnt knock and the injectors where going to 100% duty so its either afm or injectors. I kind of got the lights mixed up as the cat light was flashing and i wasnt looking at it as i was concetrating on the road more then anything . So problem sorted thanks for the help guys! Also dont use that 95 octane fuel it is just crap and can do some serious damage if your car is tunned for 98...

  6. A better pic YELLOW BOX = 4WD LIGHT RED BLUE BOX = CAT TEMP LIGHT FLASHES RED GREEN BOX = ENGINE CHECK LIGHT FLASHES RED PURPLE BOX = DOOR OPEN LIGHT RED Orignially the GREEN BOX engine check light was coming on as AFM was maxing out. Now BLUE BOX cat temp light is flashing instead.
  7. Some pics of now the cat light is below the 4wd light it goes red and the other one that flashes is on the right on the 4wd light above the open door one. pics attached

  9. It is the exhaust temp one im talking about, i have a de cat and the sensor is not plugged in and it wasnt flashing before. There is also a red light under the cat over heating light what is that light for thats the one which was coming on before the exhaust temp one did?
  10. Ok thanks mate for your help, ill just take it easy till i get it bak to the dyno place, last time i had these lights coming on i blew the headgasket into pieces... which seems to suggest knocking/pinging
  11. How come my knock level is only 35 max now and it still comes on?? Like i said before weird thing is the engine check light below it isnt coming on anymore...

Ok thanks mate, weird thing is it came on as soon as i took my 4wd fuse out and put my car in rwd then i gave her some and it started to flash, i put the fuse back in and she still comes on, only thing i can think is that some how the sensor got knocked off the bottom of the car where i had tucked it in. I adding the octane boost as i filled up with crap caltex fuel and my car started to hit 70 knock so i thought it make a diffence which it did, never using that fuel again!

  14. Yes Exhaust overheating sensor, does anyone know if this serves any other function with the power fc?
  15. Well im not totally convinced, last time the engine light stopped and that one started a week later my headgasket blew :S
  16. That sensor i disconnected from the decat ages ago so im confused? Does the power fc use that symbol to warn for anything else?
  17. Hi Guys got my car dynoed then i noticed engine light was coming on around 4,500rpm rang dyno guy and he said it was afm maxing out and nothing to worry about. Now i checked and was only getting 35 knock max so obviously its not pinging, then last night i noticed that the engine light wasnt coming on anymore and that instead the exhaust temperature light ( the one with the picture of a cat with waves going over it) was coming on instead?? I was running some extra octane boost.
  18. On the rb25 Says "Twin Cam 24 Valve 2500 NISSAN" We have now cut RB30DET AND RB30DOHC Now im leaning towards either "RB30 TWIN CAM TURBO" or lukits01 "RB30 DOHC TURBO"
  19. Guys the RB30 vented coil pack covers are going to be cut soon any suggestions as to what is going to be on there would be great i have come up with at least a few say 2 or maybe 3. "RB30 DET" "RB30 DOHC" "RB30 TWIN CAM TURBO" "RB30 GODZILLA" for 4wd ones "RB30 TORQUE MONSTA"

Last nite i launched my car hard and then noticed after that the clutch felt like it was biting at the end, also when putting her in gear in first or second there was a grinding noise coming from the gearbox/clutch this went away, so im not sure what happened?? My car is a gts4 with a 3L twin cam in it running a 1050kg extreme extra heavy duty ceramic clutch Sounded like something was scraping on the flywheel??
  21. So anyone want to make a good summary on why the fluttering noise happens, if it causes any turbo problems even later on down the track and if so whats the best way to combant the issue? I havent had a chance yet to adjust my bov as my bonnet is cable tied shut

There are 2 things to be careful with this setup hydrolic lockup, if not set up correctly water can seap into the cylinders and if you do run out of the methanol mix and your car is tuned to run it it will ping and blow the pistons to pieces. You have to make sure the tank is at the lowest point possible and that you have a non drip nozzle or water injector. Have attached a simple diagram below of a system easy to setup yourself guys and as mafia has noticed a good power gain from more timing advance and boost! You can add nitro methol instead of methanol gives a much better explosion when burnt you can get it from any speed shop im pretty sure thats what they run in the supercharged v8's.

Congratulations great system i always new they did the job, i have used one on a supecharger setup, huge difference power wise heaps more timing and boost, funny thing is do you actually need an intercooler because i didnt?? Also what ratio are you running 50/50?? You could also put some nitro in there to give it a little more kick
