Ian im not sure what you mean do you mean just the gaskets or the head, and manifold intake gasket, one of the gaskets goes in between the plenum and runners where as the other attaches the runners to the head, posted some pics of the head and plenum top half.

Also how important is that underlay heat wise if i dont use it will the heat ruin the paint on my bonnet?

I did change that hose clamp so thats not the issue the bonnet was touching in a few places, my cross over pipe to intake, and my plenum right at the edge near the coolant screw, and also to the left of it a bit, it is acutally touching on where i have already cut the supports off so i would need to cut a piece of the bonnet out for it to clear , your right cubes i do have two manifolds TIME FOR THE GRINDER

Having gone threw cutting 3 bonnet supports , i have noticed that the bonnet now will just close but the plenum is actually touching on the bonnet so it will be the grinder to that next!

How do you know if your oxygen sensor is stuffed? Bad fuel economy? Can you some how clean it? Is there any difference between turbo and non-turbo ones? What are some cheap places to purchase a replacement from? Cheers

Today i noticed she took 2-3 cranks to get going then cold start picked up and she crused up to 1500rpm , i think a little throttle would have helped her get there a bit quicker, does it have something to do with the cold start valve??? LOL maybe that has sand in it too!! Not! It wasnt sand blasted! Maybe the cold start valve isnt big enuff for a 3L???

Mmmm, just had a thought about a special stand/group of r32 rb30's at small car sunday! Yes we must have a get togther, i have the grinder in my hand as we speak poor bonnet...

LOL well she runs fine and goes well, maybe she did get a port and polish and a slight hone hahaha , its called FOOLBOOSTS 1 second motor wear in method!
