  1. that is the worst post I have ever read in my life ... shame on you. Cosmo would be bombed if done right!
  2. you doint need speakers in back... good set of splits up front and the sub is plenty Type-Rs sound great
  3. Easiest is to take amp out and down to audio joint and ask em to test it, its usually free or maybe $20 or something, they will let you know straight away. Ooops didnt read whole post. which fuses are blowing? your subs might be killing the fuse because its too small, you may need a larger fuse inbetween the power wire to your amp. And yeah the cap is a bit over-kill I have one amp running at 1x4200rwms @ 2ohm and another 2x800wrms @ 4ohm without cap and just an odyssey battery!
  4. Mine... a little dirty but u get the drift
  5. I dont mind helping out if ya want a Holden I got an Orange HQ Premier with an RB25 in it. let me know
  6. RB25, GT30R, EMS stinger, 555cc inj, built motor std cams Has KEAS full manual valve body, rebuilt by top quality, clutches, bands etc + 4000rpm stall from MV in Adelaide made 352rwhp @ 16psi but could only rev to 5500rpm because 910 fuel pump not giving enough fuel. getting retuned next monday so will let you know. going to drags that same week so will update then. auto seems to suck a lot of power hoping it makes up for it down at the drags.
  7. topic says Not Turbo.... but in the body you say its an RB25DET ... which one is it? 18psi if its turbo, 20psi if you have big balls and an awesome tuner. N/A i wouldnt have a clue.
  8. very sorry to hear mate. Have just been through an expensive rebuild myself, can imagine how frustrating and upsetting it must be. Dont give up! and good luck with the next build!
  9. Cut the exhaust manifold, and flatten it out so its on such an angle towards the engine, make it so the flange is nearly flat. thats what i had to do to mine, you will pick up a lot of clearance and its not that big a job.
  10. Keep the 20 Turbo, ECU, inj + tune then do some suspensions stuff
  11. Yer i would get it coated ... also, its a bit odd that they would still place the wastegate pipe underneath the collectors and not right near the top ... especially for something you pay top dollar for. not the best boost control with it down there.
  12. Why not get the stuff ceramic coated? It is so so so much better than that wrap stuff... i was under impression that when you wrap it, all it does is keep the heat in, so it will eventually crack the steel or what ever it is you wrap. Also, if you try unwrapping it, it would have basically stuck it self to the metal, so it peels away the steel making it really fragile and weak. I just had my stuff coated, 600 for manifold, dump and exhaust housing. It is so much better. You have gone to all the effort of doing everything else right, i think you should ceramic coat it while engine is still out Keeps so much more heat out of the engine bay also!
  13. Cheers for the reply's i think i will give them a go! Matt
  14. Anyone had any bad experiences with these? I have been told they are Eagle Rods renamed ... Just wondering, bout to build my motor but dont want to make any silly mistakes.
  15. my RB25 failed yesterday @ 390rwhp (18psi)through a built auto with stall... i dont think that was the problem though, i think it was more my mistake ... i let a few things go and i shouldnt have which has probably cost me but oh well its just an excuse to do a rebuild. Peace of mind lol
  16. I have a mate with a spare slave cylinder ... PM me with offer and ur details will pass on!
  17. I have gone through 3 autos before i finally had mine rebuilt first 2 died with simply an rb25 pushing 250rwhp and they had oil coolers. boxes were a bit iffy though. I bought a good box though with only 40xxx kms and it lasted 2 days with 330rwhp and it had a KEAS full Manual kit. Now have my current box which has been rebuilt and it seems happy with 370 runnign through it. I was told the stock box should hold up to 350rwhp with a good oil cooler and shift kit, but i dont believe that lol.
  18. I ran a series 1 turbo @ 18psi for bout 18months on my old rb20. Never had a probably. when i pulled the turbo off it seemed happy lol. little bit of oil, minimal shaft play still and no weird bearing noises or anything. Probably luck though.
  19. I have a Bosch 910 motorsport pump, which i think flows like 160L/hr or something... I'm making 280rwkw and not had an issue with the setup once. More than enough fuel !
  20. ring Mick at ovaboost... if not there are other excellent workshops/tuners like hyperdrive, xspeed etc That set up you have seems pretty lethal as it is. 320rwhp is a lot of power!
  21. Get a series 2 RB25 turbo ... i had one on my red top rb20 @ 12psi making 247rwhp. with the money you save you can get an SAFCII or something
  22. Awesome guys.... but i guess like most tuners they are familiar with some ECU's than others. I wouldnt go there for an EMS tune. otherwise service is awesome
