Hey guys, does anybody know if the coil packs from a red top ECCS 20 are the same as the old CA18's? im desperate to get one as one of mine fails when the car warms up ... and i know of a mate that has a ca18 sitting around and i think they are the same but not too sure. Any help would be great, cheers. Matt

All fixed Just had to piss around with the bleeding eventually got it..... Cheers ps to blind_elk, if you read my post you would see i metioned the bleed valve at the plenum.......

I just last night flushed out my rb20det and replaced with fresh coolant..now my problem is that the thermostat wont open, when i drive it it reaches just over 3/4 and the bottom radiator hose is stone cold when i put my hand on it after a drive, I have taken it out and tested it in hot water and it opens properly all fine. put it all back together put the bleeder nipple to the top and also checked for anthing that could be stopping it from opening, there was nothing. I was told today that there could be an air pocket that would prevent the water from making proper contact with the thermostat....is there only one bleed hole or is there a second one lower down on the engine for the thermostat housing??

Hey guys, im just wondering if anyone has any wiring diagrams for an R33 auto box or any information on the wiring. I have bought one and cant seem to find anything on them to do with the wiring. Like if anyone has a cd or a book or manual it would be great and im willing to pay. I have asked around everywhere and no one seems to have one, and at the moment its looking like ill have to go see an auto electric. So if anyone could help me out that would be great! cheers. Hey guys, was looking for a little information i was unable to find. What do you believe would be the best option, leaving an N/A rb30 motor stock internally but adding a turbo and running low boost (what would be the highest you could actually run?) or simply just buying an rb20 and bolting it straight in and leaving it stock... (the car weighs around 1300kg) just asking because i dont wanna spend too much money, as the car itself has cost me enough as it is, and the motor is only going to be in for about 3 years at which point im going for a 25. -also do you know if the rb20 5spd is the same length as the standard rb30 5spd box? (incase you are wondering why i ask all these weird questions, i own an rb powered HQ and looking to upgrade as soon as possible.) any info would be great cheers.
