  1. baboo "Exactly!! We all have our R34 sitting in our garage and are having fun with the car. Instead of b*tching about the pricings, why don't you get your act together and import one! " Ricknismo "Maybe we did dude and tryin to rip YOU and YOU ONLY off...hehe" "You are exactly what people like us that own one now hate...friggin moron." "you are an idiot" DON'T TELL ME I STARTED THIS ARGUMENT
  2. Thanks you for the last 2 comments.
  3. Can anyone help?
  4. Put it on the side facing away from the side of the rd, so no one see the plates - camera -
  5. Is this accurate way to judge the condition of the car?
  6. Hey I thought I would ask this question before I purchase a GTR. As there are alot of GTR's out there with tampered clocks, would a compression test show a high km car - even thought it might say 30 on the clock? If so what presure would indicate a genuine km car. Thanks
  7. Im not here to argue I here to buy....
  8. "Maybe we did dude and tryin to rip YOU and YOU ONLY off...hehe" I am surprised to get that from you ricknismo Your the one that got ripped off.... Time will tell i gues, its already been a year...hehehehe instead of worrying about me being ripped off...maybe you should of made sure u wern't Buying a car from a dealer who currently wants 85k for a GTR 34 NON V spec **********"Maybe we did dude and tryin to rip YOU and YOU ONLY off...hehe"************ Rick, that probably wasn't a good thing to say while you are still trying to sell your car - goes to show your intentions - maybe thats y you don;t have your papers.
  9. hahahah funny joke, your the one that paid 115k for a car thats worth 65k. Goodluck selling it. Id be a bit pissed off too if you could buy the same car in probs better condition for 20k cheaper - don't get me wrong.
  10. You can all say this, But when it comes time to selling your cars, you will wish you paid an appropriate price. I can think of a few people who might be thinking this right now.
  11. And tommyK Yes your are rite, but it only makes a few hundred dollars diference
  12. baboo I am only bitching about the price because I see all you guys struggling to sell your cars. Look at ricknismo's been for sale as long as i can remember, mind you, his isn;t the only one. And I am in no rush to buy it either, I am just looking for a GTR 34 to be my track car, thats it.
  13. Fair enough Risknismo, just be happy that someone has made an offer, because im most likely the only genuine buyer you have/had
  14. "Ricknismo" I may be the only one thats asks, because I am genuinly looking for one. You said yourself you have had people turn up and disapear after they have gone 4 a quick spin, I don't think they really care if you have the papers or not. FROM IMPORTER Hi Chris just quickly looking at recent auction prices i would say 3.8 to 4.2 million fob for car you want which calculates to $62.500 to $68.500 landed and complied @86 yen exchange rate 1999 SKYLINE 2D 4WD GT-R V-SPEC TURBO Manual 6 Speed 33,000km blue 45BA 4,095,000YEN 1999 SKYLINE GTR V-SPECIAL Manual 6 Speed 26,000km purple ¶4 4,565,000YEN 1999 SKYLINE 2D 4WD GT-R V-SPEC TURBO Manual 6 Speed 50,000km white 45BA 3,860,000YEN 4,500,000 fob = 52K (A 1999 model with under 30 GEN. on the clock) + 10% = 57,200 +10% = 62,620 + 4K (compliance) = 66,920 +Shipping and importers cost = 68,920 Im not sure how you got to 80K - I get 68K so does the importer for grade 4-5 (4,500,000 fob) which is top price i must add. You only have to look at the one on carsales for 69k. He has only just imported that, trying to make a few $$ and his has auction sheets and 20km less than yours. A car like yours would cost: 1999 SKYLINE 2D 4WD GT-R V-SPEC TURBO Manual 6 Speed 50,000km white 45BA 3,860,000YEN 3,860,000 = 45,000 AUS D +10% = 49,500 +10% = 54,450 +4k (complaince) = 58,450 +Shipping and imports costs - 2000 = $60,450 23k less than want you want YOu may be geting 80k through importers that work off an exchange rate of 80c to our dollar, so they can make a bit on the car as well as their fees. There are a few out there that do.
  15. If you are going to import a GTR, you can also do a KM check through some Japan department - an importer told me, which is 100% legit. There is another GTR for sale today with 14km on a 7 year old import - guess what? No papers, Wonder why..... "ricknismo" if you can track down your auction papers, and put it on your carsales add - it will make it alot easier to sell - I am sure people who are interested have asked you this? Am I right? By saving 15K you have enogh cash to buy a new gearbox or engine if needed or both - still cheaper than most GTR's for sale now. Of the cars with auction papers, the tampering has been reduced considerably - to most people the papers are a "bible" - what else can you use?
  16. Of the ones that have been tampered with, they have been done after leaving Japan. Dealer in SYD has taken 60km of one of his cars. Aparently its not hard to do - So i have been told -
  17. yeh I am going down that route now. Not all Grt's are duds, but ALOT are, I know the last 2 of the 4 I have seen have tampered with. Do you have a GTR 34?
  18. There is a genuine GTR 34 V spec for sale for 69K with 30 on the clock "ricknismo" An example of what im trying to explain. Only reason i am not buying it is that it doesn;t have side airbags, which is a bit annoying.
  19. For instance, your gtr with 50 on the clock i can have landed and complied for about 60-65k mark, and you want 83K. Just because its been here for a while, it doesn;t mean its still legit, trust me there are heaps of people driving around it GTR's with incorrect km showing. By having the auction sheets even if car has been here for 4 yrs, means they cannot roll back the clock. but if auction sheets show 20km 4 yrs ago, and it now says 25K you know it doesn;t add up. Iv seen people sell them with auction sheets with 30k on the sheets, however the car says under 30k, forgeting the sheets show Km, and takes 5 mins to look at the auction results. GTr's come in and out of mechanic shops, and every mechanic knows how to do a little bit more work for an extra bit of $$$ - a common thing especially if the car has NO record of KM - giving the car a new life, and a buyer a lemon of a GTR. You may think its going over the top, but your trying to sell a GTR too, and by the looks of things your not getn any takers, and thats why I want to get a car with FULL DOCUMENTATION, so when it comes time to selling it, people who don't buy my car, there only excuse is that they don't have the money too, or were only looking to go 4 a quick spin in a GTR. This way my 70K car isn't worth 50K - as simple as that. Most importers I have spoken too have said a car without auction sheets is worth no more than a GTR 34 with 100 on the clock - which when you think about it its true - people will think im talking shit, but you must consider Iv seen it all, and the people who say this are most likely the ones driving around in a car with km double wat the clock is showing! When it comes time to actually buying one you want to make sure you know wat you are getting - its a 80K GTR not a 15k GTST. Anyone with a
  20. Hello People who are in the market for a GTR 34, see the same ones for sale from the 80K mark with 50 on the clock - sum without auction sheets. You can pay 1k to an importer and get a GTR V spec from 60-69K with no more than 30 on the clock, in a colour you want, with the options you want and most importantly the auctionsheets, log books etc, however you may have to wait a month or so, but small price to pay to save 15K at least. Most people selling GTr 's 34 at the moment won't have much of a chance of selling - you only have to look at same ones that have been on carpoint and carsales for AGES, some over 1 year. Thanks
  21. "Ricknismo" You you are quite right about the auction sheets being usless after four years. However if its newly imported it gives you an idea of the km. Even if the clock has been tampered with its prety easy to tell, the numbers don't line up, or by simply checking the chip. However, you should still have these sheets or atleast asked for them from who ever you bought your car from. The people who cannot show these sheets are usually hiding sumthing, especialy if its a 7 year old car that comes from Japan with less than 10km on the clock. Dealer in sydney has a gtr 34 with 28km on the clock and I checked the auction results and I can see why he "Didn't recieve the auction sheets" - he paid 45k for the car which has 90 on the clock. They all get caught one day
  22. Thanks "Inabox" for your post, However I am looking for one with side airbags and it must be close to standard as I will be having enough problems with insurance as it is. Thanks anyways. I know your car, I saw it for sale a while ago too about 1 yr ago, when u wanted 95k ( I think). If I don;t get any takers within next few weeks I'll just import one and money i save will go towards my insurance...lol....
  23. Hello yes WRXHOON is correct, they r located on the side of the seats. They were available as an option. Yes they do look ugly, however you cannot compromise saftey in a car like that.
