  1. I'm guessing you mean the surround, around the outside of the unit? If you have a look, I had to redrill the factory bracket back about 10mm to get the whole surround to fit under the console surround.

    What do I do?

1997 EL Fairmont w/119,000kms. I was a bit apprehensive given that Mum has an EB Falcon which is pretty awful when it comes to...everything. The EL was an enormous difference.

    What do I do?

I felt very cramped in Funky's R32 when I was in it. Unfortunately I just couldn't go with something smaller than the R33 - which I thought was a bit too small sometimes anyway. The Fairmont, well let's face it, it's HUGE.

We just picked up a 98 Starlet for my sister. Nice little car until you add a passenger or turn the Air Con on. But pretty good for $7K.

I'm now the proud owner of.... A FORD FAIRMONT SEDAN! And secretly, I love it.

A Savings record is not a problem as I already have most of the deposit saved, this will just put me over the line. I've decided against the R32, and just to go an old Falcon (I've always been a Ford man) or something for the time being. Can I still hang out with you guys?

    What do I do?

I can still get a house with both options, but obviously spending less will enable me to get a place sooner. I can see now that I'll almost definitely go the R32.

    What do I do?

Hey all, As some of you know, my car was written off last week and consequently I'm being paid out. At first I thought Sweet! R33 GTST! as I only had the N/A previously, but now I'm not so sure. I need/really want to buy a house in the next year or so and the insurance money is almost a complete deposit. My problem is that I still need a car, I absolutely cannot go without one. So...my dilemma? R32 GTST under $15K - lets me stay with a Skyline (PREFERRED) OR Any runabout max $7-8K - cheaper, but seriously? (SMARTER?) ...Help? -Greg.

I went around to a few yards today but the market is very dry for what I'm after. It looks like it might be best to wait it out a couple of months until all the workshops are certified and ready.

Can't strip any parts, Justcar is paying me out so they own it. The wreck is for sale for $5000-$8000. I'll be getting the final salvage price on Monday as a buddy of mine is interested in using it for track work.

No it didn't, because the hit was nose-to-nose in the middle of the intersection the airbags deployed as I was being shunted to the side, so I wasn't being forced forward like in a head-on crash.

The car was officially written off this morning. This is the last of my car. Now...anyone selling a clean S2 GTST for under 25k?

Thanks Adz, that'd be great. I hate the waiting though... I just want to know where I stand.

Justcar, Market Value I think. I should find out today.

    Rip Ns2500?

I hope so. Because it was during all that rain last night the car is soaked inside as well.

I want it to be a write-off, I don't believe it can be repaired to same standard (which was immaculate). I've added a couple more photos - what do you guys think? The roof has buckled in parts. Also, on the current policy it's insured for 23k, on the renewal next month it's only 18k so it's just the right time.

Thanks for all the support fellas you guys are legends - there's no way that I could replace the car with anything but another Skyline. I was thinking about it all last night - I really should be angrier at the other driver, after all he did almost kill me "not noticing" the lights were Red. But, he'll pay for his mistakes in one way or the other - he had about 6 cops talking to him and only one talking to me. Doesn't that kind of behaviour get in to careless driving charges? Anyway, we're all OK and thats the main thing. Accidents happen. Time to move on...

Traffic Management Unit (I'm pretty sure) or Defect Squad.

    Rip Ns2500?

The cops (who weren't TMU incidentally) did an excellent job in my opinion, very quick response time and no hassles or biased blames towards me.

    Rip Ns2500?

3 People involved - other driver, his passenger and myself. No-one injured, everyone's just a bit "banged up". And I'm getting the flashbacks.

    Rip Ns2500?

Yeah fully insured. The other driver has admitted fault. And WTF do they fill airbags with, I'm still coughing that crap up.

Whilst driving down A'Beckett St. (Melbourne City) through a GREEN light a Corolla runs his RED light and wipes me (and him) off the road and into Hudson's Coffee on Elizabeth St.
