  1. They're currently in pieces at the workshop, so they're not handy unfortunately. They're definitely not the the R32 (ribbed) style though. You've got me on whether they're non-brembo 32R or 33T though - I've noticed there's a slight difference between the two externally but internally - are they the same? ie. seals.
  2. It wasn't easy from my local Nissan parts - they wouldn't help me out unless I had a/the VIN of the car to start the search - all I have is the 4 pot calipers, presumably from any R33 turbo - I don't think the calipers changed at all? Does anyone know of a good Nissan parts dealer in Melbourne? Or - could anyone help me out by giving me a VIN to reference against?
  3. I'm currently rebuilding a set of R33 turbo calipers - does anyone have a parts list / diagram thingo? I'd like to replace the seals while everything is open. I gather OEM is the only place I'll find this kind of stuff?
  4. I'd love to know what the Japanese explanation actually is. Can anyone translate?
  5. There's threads for 32s and 33s, but what about 34s? Post up your pics of 34s (not ones you've found on the net) Edit: Added some of my photos

    Big Pond?!
  7. Or is 45,000 a little too low? It's an 8 year old car don't forget, so that's just over 5,000 / year.
  8. Congratulations James, (s)he's no Golgo but I'm sure it's fun. So, what plates are going on it?
  9. Nikon 12-24mm - obviously.
  10. 24, R34 25GT, $22,000, $800 Full comp. A P-plater t-boned my R33 and I was paid out within a week.
  11. They're far more rare than standard 25GTs and generally command a small premium when buying them at auction. I was after one originally but I ended up settling for the 25GT as I didn't think it was worth it (additional price, extra searching) To my knowledge the only differences are mechanical - brakes, LSD, HICAS and the 17" rims from factory (instead of options) The standard 25GT has a strut brace, and as far as I know, the same suspension. The only difference in interior between the 3 are the turbos have guages sitting in the middle of the dash - everything else is identical.
  12. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=135343 This car? Or another one?
  13. Personally I think the D70s/D80 would set you up well for the future, as the 350D/400Ds are a bit more basic. Either way, stick with Canon or Nikon as you'll have a lot more lenses/options than if you go with Pentax
  14. Front/Rear calipers? Photos?
  15. I'm interested. Got any pics? How come your selling them?
  16. Unfortunately haven't had a chance to get out there and take some photos yet - can't just put up any old photos you know!
  17. I find the factory xenons pointed quite low, I have them set at the highest level all the time.

    Skyline Prejudice

I've driven skylines (silver 33, yellow 34, and Golgo here and there) around metro Melbourne for a good 2.5years and 50-60,000kms and not once have I had a single problem with the cops, people giving me dirty looks or any "idiots" trying to show off in front of me. I'm not a granny about it either, I've had my share of speeding tickets in my younger (Ps) days. I travel through areas like Greensborough, Ringwood, Epping, and down to Mulgrave quite regularly so I have to ask, what are you guys doing on the roads to provoke this reaction? Or if it's not you - list some areas where you're getting this a lot? I just don't understand how you guys get hassled so much!

    Tripod

Manfrottos are great, but can be quite heavy if they're on the cheaper side. A good quality ball-head is a must - forget about 3-way pan heads, and you shouldn't really need a pistol grip with a still camera. I've ordered a lot from here - http://www.madsens.com.au/ and in the US through Adorama and B&H
  20. Jump on a few photographic forums - there's tonnes out there. Put some of your work up and ask for constructive critisism. Get a big memory card and take as many pictures as you can - it's digital after all. If you see a nice photo, e-mail the photographer and ask them about it - "did you use a tripod?", "what time of day was it?" or "what kind of post-processing was done?" Most shots on sites like Pbase have the exif information available so you can see all kinds of info about the shot.
  21. Great shots but those "dynamic" shots ie. the bottom one, are really starting to bore me - who isn't taking/trying to take photos like this these days?
  22. Excellent shot, and proof that it's not all about the size of your lens!
  23. Same here please.
  24. 1st July they'll be active.
