  1. I'm interested, where in QLD do you live? Please PM me or email your contact details to [email protected] Thanks
  2. Yes they will bolt straight up.
  3. they come from the head. You should be able to use the ones you have. Gary.
  4. I'll take them if they're still available. PM with your bank details. Gary.
  5. yeah the torque split gauge goes crazy. It happens on a friends car who has different sizes. As for the 19's I agree with gtr13, go for 275/30/19 on 9.5 inch rims.
  6. Its the competition pro. I just had a look at their website and downloaded the new RR firmware (version 4.0) for free to upgrade it to the same specs as the RR. I've been waiting for those extra features
  7. The advantage of the nismo ones is that they not only use the same plugs, but are the same diameter (65mm) and the flange will bolt up to your existing piping or air box without modifications. They also have the same airflow vs voltage curve as the Z32 AFM's. But yeah they are more expensive. Thats why most people go for the Z32's or RB20/25's.
  8. Yeah the new g-tech's are awesome! I bought a g-tech competition pro at the start of the year. Its very handy indeed and from my experiences it can be extremely accurate.
  9. I had the same problem. For me it was just that the dipstick was old and not sealing good. I bought a new one for about $30 and it has never blown out since. A couple of mates also had the same prob and the new dipstick fixed it. But if its not that you can try checking for a blocked PCV valve. Gary.
  10. how soon do you need it?
  11. I had a problem with shifting from 3rd to 4th. I put the castrol syntrax in and it got worse. Started crunching sometimes from 2nd to third and always from 4th to 5th. So I put the redline lightweight shockproof in and the problems were gone immediately. Since leaving the workshop it has never crunched in any gear. What a difference!
  12. where did he get it from??
  13. I've seen a GTR badge on the back of a lancer...
  14. You can be lucky and very unlucky. I know someone who has had to rebuild his engine, replace the clutch, replace the suspension, had attessa problems, power steering problems, igntion problems, etc. So you really need to have some backup money just incase. A second form of transport is also a good idea. They do cost a lot to keep when you consider insurance, servicing and the cost of fuel. Then you have to pay for things when they break and there is always something you will want to do to it. If I was you I would wait for a while. Gary.
  15. That is an R32 or R33 turbo. Both the 32 and 33 turbos are identical. Both have ceramic turbines. Only difference is their age. The R34 turbos have a 0.53 A/R compressor housing and different markings on them. I have photos to compare but i'm on holidays atm so I can't post them up.
  16. Those temps are fairly normal. I get about the same with a 115mm intercooler. I agree with what Gav said above, but also think the air is being heated after the intercooler by the plenum. I think if you put a temp sensor just after the intercooler you will see a lot lower readings.
  17. How about the GTR cage? Same as above?
  18. What brand are the injectors? Can you please send pics of the exhaust to [email protected]
  19. I know the guy from Townsville. That article is pretty spot on with what happened at the time. Another mate got done by the same Astra. They followed him in his rx7 for long enough until he tried to get away from them. They were even revving it next to him at the lights. In both cases the cops used the same phrase when they pulled them both over....."your f**ked!". Then they showed them the video. It's just wrong.
  20. From the cars I have seen you should get a good gain from dropping the exhaust. Just make sure you remove the cat as well.
  21. are they definately ball bearing? have you got any photos? thanks.
  22. I've bought parts from nengun a few times and now I won't buy from anyone else. I usually recieve the items in 5 days on average. In one case when i needed them asap he sent them express post for no extra charge and I received the parts from Japan in two days.
  23. Just had to find that out myself, as i'll be changing all my oils soon too. From the R32 GTR Workshop manual... Gearbox 4.1 L Transfer case 1.8 L Rear diff 1.5 L Front diff 1.0 L From what i have found, its ok to put the lightweight shockproof in the front diff, but its not recommended for the rear diff. Gary.
  24. here's my comparison of before and after power on the same dyno, two days apart: With STANDARD turbos, engine, fuel system and ECU, plus the usual mods of intake, intercooler and exhaust my car made 210 rwkw @ 1.0 bar boost. Then with the addition of a Power FC, cam gears, hi-flow cat and proper tuning it made 273 rwkw @1.2 bar. That's with the injectors at 100% duty cycle and 11.6:1 AFR's. I tried to attach my graph with the two curves but couldn't as the file is apparently two big even when zipped to 111KB. Can anyone help? Gary.
