  4. I'm after a RB25DET T3 flanged header. Something very decent quality thats good for 400kw. Ie not chinese. Stainless or MS is fine, so long as its good quality. Cheers, Ian

  6. I was talking with Dave from Hi Octane today and he said they aren't directly swappable either, though there are conversion cams that are compatible with the hydraulic lifters, and other options for disabling the VVT as well.

  10. Hi Just came across your thread while looking for suff on GTR cam compatability with Rb25det heads... They work in RB20's and aparently make more low end torque and improve response.. still looking for RB25 data tho. Anway, I run the same turbo on my RB20DET in my gts4. GT25BB400 with a 0.64 turbine, 0.7 compressor, turbosmart 38mm external gate, 600x300x75 fmic, GTR 440cc injectors, 20lb boost, wolf 4plus ecu, msd dis4 ignition and 3 coil waste spark ignition, 044 pump and a few other things. I get positive manifold pressure from just above 3000 rpm, 10-12lb by 4000 rpm depending on load and gear, and full boost by 4500ish. I say 4500ish in that at that rpm with full boost within a second or 2 your at redline already so its really hard to say at what RPM it came on at. The turbo doesn't really start to sing till rpms are above 4000 though. Probably far from being a good match for a RB20, but I use antilag as well, and when its in its effiency range it just goes and goes. If you weren't afraid to rev to 8000 it would hapily go that far. I shift at 7500.
  11. I've been digging through the seach engine becasue i'm sure someone must have posted this before... I have an RB30/25 setup with a DET head and am contemplating switching the cams to GTR cams so I can disable the VVT and use solid lifters if later required. Can anyone point me at the correct thread or provide me with some useful info? Cheers, Ian
  12. Thats pretty much what I'm looking for right there. Where is the car? Who rebuilt the turbos? do you have receipts? Are the people that did the work contactable? And of course... pictures! I'd like a full set of pictures of the underbody taken about 2/3 of a meter from the body with a flash so I can try and spot any flaws etc. Inside the wheel arches and boot as well. As well as pics of the interior and outside of the car. THanks, Ian

  14. Pictures of the underbody, chassis rails, foward rear cradle mounts where they join the body, and inside each guard behind the wheels will reveal its true age. Few gtr's that old aren't full of holes or rust repairs in these areas.
  15. There has got to be more to it, becase my power steering worked fine with the variable rates etc WITH the factory ecu located in the BIN! I will try unplugging the hicas ECU, it is probably that alone thats causing the rate to go heavy all the time. Anyone know much about the variable rate systems? It seems to feel like 2 rates only, and that plus wheel castor and road speed provide the "variable" feel as is shown in the service manual in the power steering section. Any thoughts?
  16. I'm having hicas/power steering issues and want to measure the signals going to the power steering ecu to trace the problem. I know the hicas ecu is on the under side of the rear speaker panel. Where is the one that controls the valving etc for the variable rate steering in the front of an R32 GTR? The problem is that the steering is light when started, and even when driven up to 80-100k's, but after 15-20 seconds it goes firm and doesn't return to light again till after the car is stopped and re-started. I know its a wiring issue, its just a case of which wires... I have the gtr service manual but it doesn't detail the colours of the wires to check for power steering and hicas. So if i am going to use the service manual at all i have to meter signals directly off the ECU's. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Ian

  22. Price drop $14,000 with RWC (Got it last week). Car has got to go. Will be serviced this coming week also. Odometer is now at 109680. The car has got to go.
  23. I was waiting for some interest first. If someone wants a test drive and is keen i can get the road worthy inside of a day no probs. Is a QLD safety certificate/RWC any good in another state? or does it need to be re-done if its being registered inter state?
