  1. Thats completely normal.. my car sits at around 2500 at 100 (R33 25t manual) EDIT- my old car (Mitsi Diamante) sat at 2200rpm at 100k and 2800-3000 at 180k. LOL. They are very comfy cruisers

  3. All fixed!!!! took out the front of the dash console and had a look at the sensor, 1 of the pins was bent and wasnt in. straightened it and plugged it properly.. oh and i cleaned it out too.. washed it out.. now it works sweet!! cheers guys

  7. it can be done, but you have to be careful. It wudnt hurt to cover a few things such as Pod, Alternator, Sparkplug cover and the electrical connectors. Thing is, you dont necessarily NEED to cover them, however it will just attract rust. Im sure you dont want your connectors/plugs/pins do develop rust. This is what i do. I spend say 1 weekend and clean 1 area of the engine bay. I try to take out as many parts as i can, then i give it a good clean with some "Prestone Bug n tar remover" and then polish it off! squeaky clean. The bug n tar remover works wonders on the rocker covers too. I know its a pain but that way i dont compromise my engine in anyway, esp water damage.
  8. Hey thanks for your replies. Alright i think i know which sensor youre talking about. Ill have a look at it tomorw after work. Come to think of it, my ac makes that klunk sound everytime i turn the AC on.
  9. Holy..... 600hp increase in just over 1000rpm!!! i wouldnt wana slap it down in 3rd while doin 120 on the motorway.

  13. I can solemly say that i was in the same boat. I had a dyno before and after the split dump was installed, and NO power gains at all, torque, etc, etc everything same, However i was getting a HUGE boost creep, after 4.5k-5k it would spike to around 14-16psi, to which i backed off instantly. I changed to a TOMEI 1 piece bellmouth design and it made things ALOT better. I had my timing adjusted which made things alot better. Now it only spikes to 9psi or so max, which i figure is ok considering i dont use an ebc yet. R33 25t manual fmic, full zorst with no cats etc Boost tap set to 5psi(bought off SAU) turbosmart or something. works really well. copper plugs. I suggest checking your timing as well as it will play a small part.
  14. I dont fill up my car, mainly because its a weekend car. I normally put $40/ BPU and i get around 160-180km, thats mainly city driving. It needs a service tho. I dont thrash it at all. Never hit the limiter or anywhere close. R33 25t manual coupe. ~180-190rwkw a while back.. FMIC Copper plugs 5psi boost(tap) 3inch exh leading to a 4inch catback and 5inch tip(no cats etc) 18inch 235's all round.
  15. had mine imported at 76000k's 2 years ago, now its just ticked over 100k's. Its parked at home everyday, only driven in the weekends Its all up to how you look after it really. I dont think i will ever sell my 33. i love it to bits.
  16. Hey all, so iv read the R32 ac thread here, i have a very similar issue when i turn the temp up to anything over 18-19degrees, it just blows HOT air. Its like i cant get semi warm/cool air, its either HOT or COLD air. Any ideas? cars an R33 25t. The AC works sweet, its just that it blows COLD OR HOT, NOT semi cool/warm.. THanks
  17. alright i thought id add my 2c. i love BOTH, the R32 and the R33. I wish i could own both. I always admire them when i see them on the road. Hell i even get waved at in my 33 by drivers(32,33). Iv driven both. The R32 seems more punch, due to the lack of torque as compared to the 33. The 33 has more weight however has more torque. Stock for stock tho, the 33 will win. The 32 i feel gives you more driver feedback. Neither of them are slow. The 32 likes to rev out. the 33 doesnt NEED to rev out as it has more immediate torque. Down low, the R33 will take the cake anytime, anywhere, however the 32 closes the gap at the top of the rev range as it peaks then. I love the shape of the 32. damm sexy!
  18. i thought id add my 2c - i used to run the stock coils cos of a bit of misfire. so i changed it to splitfires.. it worked ok for a while.... one day i had a BAAAD misfire on cold starts in the morning. i got IGN error code when running a diag. i put my stock coils back on.. and walla!!!!! i emailed NENGUN for a refund/replacement.. they said it was outside the 1 year warrany(they are telling fibs). in the end i wrote them a REALLY abusive email and i am ready to throw my splits in the bin! Iv learnt the HARD way.. theres no replacement for the stock coils. they are just plain awesome! if you having issues, an ignition amplifier does wonders!! BTW - I have seen alot of 1000+hp GTR's running stock coils with ignition amplifiers. Seriously, splitfires etc are crap(no offence). I have heard from the big boys here in nz that the stockers are best. Now i know for a fact. MUCH respect to OEM!!!

  20. what im waiting for tho is when someone is able to do a full transplant of the 35R running gear into a 34/33/32r chassis. that would be a major task but imagine the possibilities???!! the R32/33/34 weigh around 300kgs lighter then the 35r.. that thing will easily do 10's on the stock engine and road tyres maybe!

  25. I agree with ^ why not an Rb30det?? Thats what i have planned when/if my engine goes.
