  3. isnt that what they use on the TT soarers?! They are pretty small.
  4. I think the OP realises it now, and it wasnt a stupid question either. I've never hit the limiter in my car. lol @ the vid.. needs to learn how to drive lol
  5. So I've spoken to my tuner who says itl fit with a GTR fuel rail, just need mod the bracket a bit. Anyone done this? or know what modding it needs?
  6. I can get ID's for at least $400 cheaper when compared to Nismo's. Fuel rails are cheap as, just need to see whether the whole combo will work. I did buy a 2nd hand set of injectors (subaru 450cc) but they didnt flow well enough, so im a bit weary of either decapping the stock ones I have, or getting 2nd hand ones. Keep em coming ppl
  7. I have thought this through. Thats the thing - If the cost of the fuel rail is too high, then I'll flog it and go for Nismo/Sard etc. I can get Top feed rail for my engine, but I need to know whether anyone has used Injector Dynamics on their R33 before I have looked at Hi flowing, but then the question comes in - How reliable is it going to be. I have heard people hi flowing their stockers and putting on new V pattern caps. My engines done 126k so far.
  8. ID 725's - How much shipped to Auckland. Set of 6 for R33 RB25det
  9. Hi, Looking at getting some ID 725's for my car. I understand they are top fed, and mine are side fed stock. I dont want to get Nismo/Sards etc. I have searched through here, and found a few people using top feed injectors with a custom/aftermarket rail. Could someone please advise on: 1) Injector Dynamics Injectors work on R33 RB25det? 2) What fuel Rail? R34 GTT? Bear in mind im running the stock plenum, with no intention for a ffp in future as im only looking for 300kw. Thanks.
  10. Well that was a biased comparison.
  11. Sorry to revive an old one, but im interested in getting a top feed setup on my R33. Main reason is because I want to get ID 725cc's. They are alot cheaper then any other type, eg SARD, NISMO. I run a standard intake plenum. Would I be able to buy eg, an R34 GTT rail and use that or do I need to modify anything else? Cheers guys.
  12. Just changed my oil today. Oil pressure on cold start up is down to around 5bar(7bar before). I used to run Elf fully sun 15w50(I think). Im also using a Veruspeed Nismo filter as well. I noticed the engine was more responsive. I guess I'll keep an eye on it. EDIT - I used Penrite 5w60 Fully syn oil. Bloody exp - $130/5L.
  13. Work sucks! Bring on Lunch time!

  14. What are peoples thoughts on PENRITE 5w60 Fully Syn? I just ordered mine $120 for 5L. Guy at Supercheap showed me this: http://royalpurple.com.au/article_images/oil_test_article.pdf?ptl=hot_rod_article.php?ptl=articles_oil_supplement.php PDF file showing a test run by a magazine. Unsure whether to believe it or not(could be a big marketing ploy). Motul didnt do too well in that test, and neither did Mobil/Elf..
  15. Has anyone used the Nismo Diff oil like in the link below? http://www.cockramnissan.co.nz/shop-online/nismo/nismo.htm I am juggling on which one to get.
  16. Haha the same thing happened to me. I thought crap, need to take out a loan for a new engine.
  17. Same goes for VTEC stickers for replacement headgaskets.. you can run 50psi from the stock RB20det turbo, @ idle.

  19. ecu diagnostics come with 55?
  20. Nah, double sided tape wont work. You need the velro(spelling). Make sure you clean it with some isopropyl first though.
  21. Is that before or after vtec kicks in, Yo?
  22. Not entirely true.. Its how you install it that makes the difference. the key is to use some coppercote. simple. I have done this a few times, and coppercote has fixed ALL the squealing, for good.
  23. Might be that you're running too cold plugs. What plugs are you running? list of mods?
  24. From what the OP is saying, the tuner OFFERED to do it, as a service, regardless of whether it was payable for or not, while working on his car, which would all be included for in the price of the tune and all anyway. If the OP had personally asked the tuner to blow oxy at it, then it would be a different story. Because the OP trusted the tuners work, he thought he would let him do what he thought best for his car. Its very easy for the tuner to say its NOT his fault. It might have been over torqued unintentionally, esp when it was hot. If the tuner offered to blow the plugs free of charge, then he should have installed them as well. Thats pretty careless to me, considering he is meant to be the professional here. After all he was relying on the OP to install the plugs CORRECTLY, before ramping it up to full load on the dyno. Im not sure whether you guys have the Fair trading act over there, but I would put him down for Neglegence and serious mis-conduct. OP has evidence as well - ceramic bits, right? I would say the tuner is fully responsible, and should cop up AT LEAST 80% if not 100% of the cost to get this fixed.
  25. I had the same issue, except it would only miss for about 30 secs randomly, esp on a cold day/night. No way it will be the plugs. Turned out 2 of the springs in the coilpacks were corroded and had white powder coating all over it(This is the bit that sits on top of the plug, on the inside of the coil). I replaced them and its perfect now. Perhaps check that.
