  1. When did you last change the oil? Sorry if i missed it.
  2. With that style dump, you might start picking up a few homo's.
  3. Sounds like 1 has the wastegate fully open, check your solenoid and see whether its hooked up correctly.. refer to the gizzmo's install diagrams.. If that fails, disconnect it and revert back to the solenoid to see whether its your ebc doing it (or lack of). If you T the wastegate actuator directly off the J-pipe(pressure source) then you should see at least 5-7psi at like 2-3k.
  4. A very good friend of mine has 1 - Auto twin turbo with a full exhaust/pod and lowered on king springs(i think). It is very quick on the streets as it is VERY responsive - The turbos pretty much spool on Idle(td03?) However on the motorway, it looses its puff quickly, esp over 5k.
  5. Get a EBC, other borrow or buy, otherwise you could spend years trying to fix this.
  6. With the stock R33 turbo, as soon as you put the foot down a lil bit, you get full boost, whether that be 7,9, or 12psi. Makes it hard to control with ur right foot.
  7. you could have split gaskets, which wont be fixed by just tightening the bolts and nuts. When i took me turbo out, I noticed that my exh mani gasket was in 3 pieces. Its not too hard to take the turbo off really.
  8. The gtr fmic will still flow air past it. blocked radiator?
  9. 2 things.. Most likely the thermostats stuck(you can take it out and run and see if it makes a diff) or the radiators blocked up BAD.. My advice - take the thermostat out and tkae it for a drive.. it will take a bit longer to heat up.. after the drive, BOTH the radiator pipes should be almost the same temp.. if not then u have a blocked radiator for sure. EDIT - You might also have a BIG airlock - did you bleed your cooling system? If not, do so as well.
  10. Hey all, Quick question - R34 GTR Radiator, I have heard rumours that all the skyline GTR's radiators is the same as the R33 gtst one. Could some one please confirm? Any specs? As far as I know, the R33 GTST has a dual core? 28mm maybe? I can get a good condition R34 gtr radiator - need to know whether it will fit, and whether its bigger then mine(stock r33 gtst radiator). Thanks.
  11. Alright guys, I think this guys realised his mistakes and is trying to set things right. Lets give him the help he needs aye. At least hes not going around saying "hey look at my engine bay, its almost a turbo". Word of advice - when bending the water lines, be careful, bend them carefully and slowly, you dont want a kink blocking waterflow.

  13. reset ecu? disconnect battery for a few mins and so on? on a long shot - perhaps a dodgy solenoid in ur tranny?
  14. First hand experience - I didnt think it would make any difference when I put my hybrid turbo back on. I left it off for a few weeks and noticed the engine bay warmer then usual... I put the heat shield back on and it was much much "cooler". Best part about it is that it hides the snail pretty well and makes it look stock.

  17. What Paul is really saying is HEATSOAK. Feel the smic after a good drive, esp in traffic, then you will know. Because i know. They MAYBE good fo upto xxxkw, but how will it cope with the heatsoak? Unless you have a waterspray AND a decent fan on the smic - its pointless. And by the time you have bought an upgraded smic, waterspray kit, fan, ducting, you would have spent TWICE as much as a decent fmic kit would cost, and you would have spent twice as much time as well, and you still wouldnt be happy. There i said it!

  19. You're making only 161kw with fmic/exh/11psi?? Thats awefully low! It should be around 180kw. Mine made 175 with only 9psi.
  20. I was under the assumption that all R32's were push, and all R33's were pull type.

  22. Ahh this one.. this guy aparently "tuned" a 4g63 motor.. I think when he started it, it was pissing fuel out from somewhere.. lol.(wouldnt even IDLE.. LOL) btw love the new clutch held together by spot welds.. Should be good for 10Nm Torque. lol
  23. Hell no. I never let any of my girlfriends drive my wife. Only myself and my tuner is allowed to drive mine.. not even my dad is allowed Harsh if you ask me, but I dont trust his driving.
