  1. I'd heard that NSCC do 'regular' track days at Wakefield, but it does appear they only have one this year on their calendar. I guess what I'm wishing for is something similar to TimeAttack at QR, which runs at least half a dozen times a year. I was quite happy to marshal for half the day in return for driving the rest of the day, AASA licencing as per at Wakefield, timing gear and passenger rides. Not to mention catching up with track'ers on a regular basis. *sigh* I guess the hunt continues!
  2. Do SAU actually run speed events at wakefield? Circuitclub looks like it might be worth a look, just checking out the forum now...
  3. Thanks. I had looked at the SDMA but the Nissan club seem to offer much cheaper rates on their track days at Wakefield, while also having events at other venues... speed off the street looked alright but being untimed, I'm not interested in that as a regular thing (plus from what I've heard they don't allow passenger rides).
  4. Hi all, I've been down in the ACT now for a while and haven't got around to heading to a track day - it's starting to burn at me after having quite a few cracks at QR! Can anyone involved with CAMS-affiliated car clubs give me some idea about what is on offer? At this rate I'm most strongly considering the NSCC (http://www.nissansportscarclub.org) however I haven't found anyone who has personal experience with a local club. I'd be interested in anyone's opinion! Cheers
  5. It happens a few times on a drive, seems to be caught in a cycle, not just at the start of driving
  6. It's only started doing it in the last week, and the car was serviced about a month ago (still trying to find out from the workshop if this included a coolant flush - I would usually assume it does). Having a search around for guides to bleed the air - any specifically recommended for R34? Cheers
  7. Well I haven't been able to narrow it down any further, can anyone recommend a decent radiator shop in the ACT? Cheers
  8. Thank you for the assistance so far. Blocked radiator may explain it, pain in the ass to get it to a radiator shop for a few weeks though due to work/other commitments (thankfully we have another car). There doesn't appear to be any correlation between throttle or use of accessories and the fluctuation in the temp, it simply climbs steadily over a minute or so, sits close to high for a few minutes before dropping over about the same period and sitting on operating temp.
  9. Hi guys, Have been having an overheating issue with my R34 sedan (mechanically stock) which isn't your standard 'runs hot temp gauge goes up' problem. Once the temp gauge goes up to the first high mark it will then fall back to operating temp after a minute or so - pop the hood and coolant is still sitting at the normal fill line. I can't find any leaks under the car when it's running. Oil temp sits below 100deg. It's rather perplexing that the gauge goes up and down again... has anyone any advice for what to look for? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Same issue happened in my 34 sedan, fixed with coilpack replacement. No more sounding like a rex

  18. Does anyone know if I can get away with coilovers for the roadworthy check?
  19. Trojan treated both the 34's well this week. Cost more than I'd hoped but I'm happy with the job.
  20. Mine has a similar issue, if I don't drive it for more than 6 days the battery goes flat... it's f**king annoying. Secondary alarm goes off until I get enough charge to disarm it and then jump start. Issue was temporarily resolved when I got a new battery under warranty, but within a month the problem returned. Had the alternator checked at last service and all checked out ok. I'm inclined to think it's these shitty supercharge batteries (which I didn't fit to the car)... luckily they have a 36 month warranty.
  21. damn, I didn't see any snow in o'connor hopefully the fields cop decent falls for the next few months
  22. I'm keen to check out a hillclimb sometime - my car has been basically idle since driving down past QR early last year
  23. Hey all, I'm new to the whole halogen headlights thing (only had xenon's in my last 34) and I was wondering what sort of lights are suitable as replacements? If possible I'd like the whitest bulbs legal - I hate the yellow light:( Are these going to be suitable? http://www.crazysales.com.au/index.php?productID=599#desc Thanks!
