    Gt Auto Dyno

That dyno looks the bomb! What's the damage to take it for a run? R34 GTT - just in case 2wd is cheaper than 4wd
  2. The roads in Rocky are a bit rough but the trip to Yeppoon wasn't too bad around easter... many of the roads down here in Brissie are shithouse too - Milton Rd is a shocker
  3. I was under the impression it's 5-6psi to 4500rpm and 7-8psi thereafter
  4. Hey all, I know it's been said many times 'if you want a manual, buy it from the factory', but I was wondering if anyone here has experience with a manual conversion on an R34 gtt? I'm after all the details and if possible, prices/specific workshps (I'm located in St Lucia, Brisbane and currently head to SR Motorsport at Kippa-Ring). What are my options? Can I throw in an R33 box? How much would I be looking at for a second-hand Getrag box out of the GTR? I'm more than happy to shop in Japan (I know a bit of the lingo) so if anyone could give me some direction I'd be most appreciative. Cheers
  5. Yeah I'll post pics, busy day today so I might do it in the lunchhour at work (company has fleet mechanics etc so I can nab the tools to do it + fit new spacers - hoists for the win!)
  6. I notice changing/backing off helps the delay in shifting, esp 2-3 and 3-4
  7. They'll fit R34 yah? If so how does 180 pickup sound?
  8. Yeah that's as I thought, I too had a few drinkies before posting hence the hesitation to install last night My package got wet so the diagram included is kinda borked... f**king postman left it on top of my mailbox in the pissing rain
  9. A few queries: 1. The window regulator would work for either side's window wouldn't it? 2. Do you know the part number/if it will suit an r34? Cheers
  10. mmmmmm very nice... not interested in a swap + cash I gather? If I could offload my car quickly I'd throw 26K cash at you tomorrow! Who's your workshop?
  11. yeah I'm thinking of a topspray and a repair to minor rust around the centre rear brakelight... I'm in St Lucia, anyone point me towards a reputable mob in the inner north or south to eight mile plains?
  12. I lived on a farm near Emerald for many years and went to highschool there, left in 2003... own a black R34 GTT which was up there around easter... it's still ford/holden/shitbox 4cyl central... didn't see any nice imports, just a beat-up r32 and rough-sounding 180 spring to mind. Almost lost the license floating at 150 out the back of Rolleston, slowed for a rise and passed a copper at a tick under 120 :| Oh, and in regards to the first few pages (from many moons ago) I too remember the chameleon piles of shit - forgotten the smash repairs guy who had the gold rodeo and chenara's vs commodore... reminds me of the quality of the lapping scene
  13. Got mine in the post today... bout to fit to the r34... I am sure I have this right but can I just confirm that I take the rubber line the arrow is pointing to (at the non-turbo end)? Then bypass the solenoid? PIC: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...md=si&img=57115 Thanks in advance

  15. mate, as I recommended in email I'd pick Ken Whatley - top guy and you get a funky escargo to drive for a few hours
  16. bah, I know they look shit... but surely you guys get the idea...?
  17. Hi all, Thanks for the input, but the real issue is that my wheel studs aren't long enough (barely half the nut is on the stud). Is there any other options apart from a bolt-on spacer or longer studs + spacers? I am happy with the size of my current spacers, so even if there is an alternative nut design (I've seen em on tractors, not sure about cars though - they have a sleeve, as I'll try to demonstrate. Please excuse the crappy drawings & attempt at 3D). 1. Normal Wheel nut ------------------------ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ------------------------ 2. Design with a sleeve (to go inside the rim & give me some more contact area on the thread) ------------------------ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \ | / \ | / \ | / \ | / | | | | | | | | | | | | --------------- Does anyone know of anything like this available?
  18. None of you guys have Brisbane-based contacts? I appreciate the advice so far but if any of you have contact details it would be a great help
  19. I've got a good idea of what I need, I'm just after the most cost-effective way to do it. I have adequate spacers if I get longer studs, but at the moment I'm finding studs difficult to get in QLD. If anyone has any contacts, by all means share!
  20. Thanks for the link, I've had a browse around & emailed them for prices. The wheels clear the guards by about an inch at the moment.
  21. Hey guys, I've got an R34 & have recently swapped the wheels from stock to some IB Racing 18"s - not sure what the style is called. As I have bugger all clearance (less than 1mm at the front, rear is fine), I'd like to know what's available to me to avoid scratching my rims (they don't rub but it's too close for comfort). Also, my studs really can't fit a spacer (I'm currently running around 1cm thick, but this is a temporary solution) so if I don't get a bolt-on adaptor then they will need replacement. I'm keen to change the brake calipers if there is something available which is narrower than stock, or if it's more cost effective I'll be looking for some bolt-on adaptors. I'm located in Brisbane, so if you could provide any local contacts I'd be most appreciative. Thanks
