slightly of-topic - does ecutalk work on vista? having no luck with it at the moment... finds the com port and just sits there 'not responding'...

Mine does the same thing (it's jmac's old 34) on full lock sometimes.

Never seen it before... looks kinda like a dodgy outline of a consult plug! Nothing else wrong with the car?

I am happy to be corrected if wrong but I was of the understanding turbo timers are illegal to use as a vehicle isn't to run without having the keys in the ignition and the driver in control... Also, not sure about NRMA but I have heaps of respect for the RACQ - their knowledge of imports & highly modified vehicles is obviously not great (as it's not their primary market) but in general they are a great resource for verifying condition of used cars for typical motorists. They won't insure me though :S even though JC give me Rating 1...

I'll dig around, I think I posted all the pics up from working on em and a bit of a guide last time. This time I'll just spray a bit of contact adhesive on the upper seat piece to finish the job - shouldn't look like covers at all then

Yeah, although prices on manuals are plummeting - picked up my modified 34 (250rwkw) for $26K

I've bought 2x 34GT-t's for about that sort of coin and have been happy with both of em... where ya located? If in Bris I have a silver 4-dr for sale at $18K Seriously, each car will vary by condition - you can't be too thorough, and always have a good drive of the car before deciding.

Australian Autosport Alliance License - can get one on the day with ~$60 and signing some safety/indemnity forums. Get there a bit early though so you have plenty of time.

If it matters, I have a legal exhaust with a metalcat... while it's no track monster it's certainly not gutless (250rwkw). Irrelevant, it's still illegal and whoever the stupid prick is who's the first one to come whining on the forums deserves what they have coming.The EPA has very strict rules on emissions and the fines are enormous to stop people from running any vehicle outside of the clearly defined legislation. De-catting and screamers should be for track use only, anything else then you deserve to be pinged.

Yup, did it all myself (mate Ozan did his 34 at the same time - pics are from his house). Took a few hours on 2 sundays to do it. Weapons of choice: - thick, sharpened wire (cut a piece out of a coathanger) - crochet hook - long nose pliers
