Nah, I had nothing to do with that. He just charged me a lot more than he quoted me and then a lot of the work was really dodgy, like lots of pin holes in welds on my intercooler piping etc Basically in an article in a newspaper about his workshop, he wrote that pretty much all of his customers were street racers, so the police went to every customers cars and screwed them however they could. Well pretty much, i dont know all of it.

Dont trust him!!! lol, joking, hes good for it. P.S wont be able to make that party dude, im working.

Shit attitude, rip off, piece of shit. But I know some people have had good experiences with him, just not me. I despise him.

Im not going to have a go at anyone here and I really dont want to insult Ed because he seems like a genuine decent bloke, but when it comes to my car, I simply just want it done right. I do know the full details of what went wrong and they have fixed the problems, but 2 blown engines later. He just seems to have a bad karma hanging around and I dont want to risk it. But I know these arnt the only problems around from both current and previous businesses. Anyways, all in all, I cant say that he wont do a good job on others cars, but just not going to risk it.

Pete at Autotech tuned my power FC and did an awsome job. I want to say, I have the car booked in to Autotech on the 4th Jan. They re open on the 2nd and I plan on going in and speaking with Pete, as Ed took the booking and was planning on doing my car. Why am going to speak with Pete? Well, I dont want to insult Ed, but a friend has had nothing but problems since Ed got a hold of his AE86. Im not saying it was his fault, but after all that has gone wrong, if Pete isnt willing to do the work himself, then im going else where. My friend is onto his 3rd blown head gasket since Ed touched it. Hence his nickname of Ed Gasket. Its just too bad a history for the time and money gone into the car. But, Pete is da bomb and it would be hard to trust another workshop to do the work. My 3c worth.

Definately, you have to change your thought process to turn at the right time or you end up turning late etc. The prices went up hardcore for a few months this year and you will pay about 15k for a decent condition one that would have been about 8k 6 months ago. It seems to happen every year, but they dont tend to go down cos no one really wants to get rid of them, so they wait till someone offers the right money. Its usually the missus making them sell As far as im concerned, if you hook up with me, you hook up with my zed too (not litterally, though maybe on the bonnet would be ok, as long as theres no scratches, dents, stains etc) and i make it very clear when starting out. So far only one chick hasnt liked it calling it a "penis extension" damn straight and what an extension!!! Needless to say I kicked her to the curb. End 3.30am rant

Im pretty sure the first 5 speed GTRs had the same 5 speed thats used behind the RB25, in fact arn't they rated as a stronger box than the 6 speed anyways? Just going off rumours etc but i know the 25 box is strong as anyways and bolts on, so it would probly be your best bet. Cheaper too maybe?

Not really a car related near miss, but just the other day I nearly stepped into an ants nest, on a double take it turned out to be a swarm of bees, i'm so glad I was watching where I was going or I wouldn't be typing right now.

My apologies for bailing. No sleep for 2 days was a bit too much, though I was still tempted. On the plus side, the engine will be ready to drop back in the car by the morning. WOOT!!! *does a "Mick" dance*

Yeh I was running 17psi before i pulled the motor out, didnt have any dramas. Ill only be running 14 from now on, but should stil be making the same power , cant wait.
