  1. you might be better off doing same thing in the ottom radiator hose then, that might still be in the right spot? lol
  2. try a used 3076, i have seen a few lately on the forums
  3. cant go wrong with hks offerings such as gtrs. your better off picking your power leve and selecting based on that
  4. also i had the same idea with the r32 turbos, now have 4 dead ones sitting in the shed.. they just didnt like being removed and put on a different car. i assume they need to be kept full of oil while off which i certainly didnt do. after fitting turbos, rebuilt the motor after bottom end noise, then the built motor was fine but turbos were shite... so now i have fitted the turbos i initially wanted to after around 2k km's on noisy non-boosting half-blown r33 turbos. soooo much shaft play but yeah lots of turbos in the shed looks cool? lol
  5. how i plumbed the water returns from the turbos:
  6. you said you pushed the wheel back... but really you folded the whole car its a bit different. that is a lot of damage hope you can sell some but definitely not much in the way of body panels. good luck my friend
  7. im up for the BBQ... spewing i have to drive so far to the meeting point lol. i was thinking maybe bunnings campbelltown is actually busy on a saturday morning tho. although there should be parking there somewhere for us. theres always red rooster but they never have chicken Hi Adam! i was wondering what happened when you kinda just dissapeared.. sorry to hear about that one, but glad you found another. its like women and shopping trolley's, theres plenty in japan... or something
  8. anyone catch the cressida in the lap of honour?> its my sis's car she doesnt beleive i took it out
  9. sure its written off dude? just fixed one a few weeks ago for about 1000 in parts including side clip
  10. i have to learn to drive, then i can do cool stuff like you guys so far joey and i will be playing cressida-patchup this w/e will buy some real brakes and find some track to go to soon
  11. lastlineofdefence i can sell you the cressida; 3L of pure um.... displacement?
  12. phil!! i will gladly take those "two plastic body panels" cheers bigears pm me
  13. mr 33 sorry i forgot after i crashed my car on saturday- was meant to drop in on way home from karting but yeah got towed instead really. I will be out and about on the weekend hopefully.
  14. yes 700 or so is about right for a 100k service, sometimes its more like 1000 depending on where you go. definitely change turbos in the car, 2 days max instead of a week if you pulled the engine and yes i still had an awesome day jess looking fwd to another
  15. hi guys just thought id let you all know- cressida is dead, but skyline is fixed lol. so im happy
  16. ive still got vct going, and its fine driving around off boost. lag is a bit of an issue, but i have hks not stock turbos. power starts at around 4 and it screams by 5, but yeah you have to shift already around 7 whereas a gtr still has revs left at this level of modification. i would love a 26 head but its a bit late now
  17. hah twins are the go lately apparently. i'm very happy with mine but all the same it could have been done with a single.... but we will leave that one alone for now we basically split all the feeds at the block, and made an extra oil return and plumbed the water returns trying to keep everything away from the exhausts. im sure you could even bodgey up something with standard rb26 lines if you mount the turbos in a similar position. mine are low mounted and i could probably even get away with r33 gtr dumps/front pipe. in my opinion you may be better off switching to a gtr head and using gtr ecu, makes everything a bit easier and you get the better head and inlet too. i'm running a single afm so the piping is 'interesting' but works very well. a non-afm ecu would make that a bit easier on you. one day i will take pictures lol. pm me if your after some specific info. it was not simple but is fun to drive. be aware that the exhaust is now 2x as loud lol despite the same catback
  18. i have to run to pirtek, they open at 8 so hopefully i have the skyline put together by 9.. elsewise i will be in the blue beast. c you all tomoro morning!!
  19. had a great day today guys took the cressida out for a few laps of oran park gp circuit lol had a ball. look forward to bringing the skyline out for this meet, and racing all a you!
  20. It really is a bit tricky without a dyno, but make sure you have installed it correctly, have taken out the plastic plug from the "unused" port on the solenoid and then try increasing the set boost and using peak function to see what you've hit. use the gain to stop it spiking and then check its not overboosting again. this is quite hard to get right as you haven't got a numnber to start from really. you will not get a very good result on the road if your dumb enough to do it on the road, you can set the limiter safety thing up to save you before playing around. if you dont crash, you will either get booked or blow the engine but yeah here is how to do it for the time being. might be better to do it with another twit in the car with you so you can watch the road and he watches the boost.
  21. why not just leave the vct soleoid on all the time, that will give you back your low/mid but choke it a bit a high revs. if its a street car, i would consider it
  22. did you finish pulling the engine out today> whats left
  23. bam is a necessary evil out here lol i may have found a steering rack, so hopefully will see you all on the track soon! then we will see whos bamming who. in the meantime, i look forward to making an ass of myself next weekend cheers all thanks jess
  24. any chance of grabbing the steering rack if its not leaky/bent
