  1. well sounds like you broke the bolt, not because it was too weak for the boost or anything. i recomend finding another gtst one. cheaper than gtr and all the same to you operation wise
  2. maybe it was too tight and you fucd it, so when it heated and cooled it cracked
  3. they are not like k&n you cant clean and reoil type thing, they are not "the last air filter you will ever buy". they are a filter that needs to be replaced when it gets clogged. if you blow it out every 6 months or so, it will not get clogged however, the more dirt on it, probably the better the air is filtered. happens with air handling units in hotels, or even at home. it gets finer and finer gaps until it is clogged and you need to clear it out or replace.
  4. thats good news someone buy a lot and we can share
  5. it is for an rb20, otherwise it would be on the r33 they are from the kiwi boys, and they get good results on stock motors. look up rotorua i think thats how its spelt anyway its just sitting here. with piping and throttle cable and throttle body etc, everything really. but then i found it doesnt fit on rb25s due to the water lines etc beneath the plenum
  6. yeah im having the same problem. cardinal red is close and ok for under bumpers and the wheelarches and skirts etc, but i thought it was from ef fairmonts. I also found a vinyl/plastic spraycan that starts off very similar but goes pink after a while in the sun lol. If anyone can help us, even if i have to respray the whole thing, i just need some paint
  7. blow shit out from the inside with an air compressor
  8. i have a RIPS plenum for sale. pm if interested
  9. vinnie is right, turn it on, and press recirculate so that the green (?) light comes on. let it change over to recirculate and turn it off. then never touch it again lol
  10. any comments on twin 2510s? perhaps compasred to standard gtr
  11. also if your rear dampers are adjustable, set them tight as and reset the rear height by lifting from the wheelarches or going over a few bumps. the stiffer dampers wil hold it up a bit
  12. that is very low, but check how much clearance there is between that and the rear cradle/hicas stuff. you can probably raise it that one centimetre. i would try bending the brackets that go into the rubbers as that is free compared to buying shorter rubbers. maybe add a new strap to hold it up near the low part. a sling of exhaust bandage etc. not quite as permanent though lol
  13. power fc's can just show a lot of knock sometimes... but if you can hear it thats different. i would try adjusting the advance with the ign/inj adjust and set it close to 0 deg so that you know the engine shouldnt be knocking . if its still there then it may not be the motor, and may be something peripheral. unfortunately its a huge job to retighten flywheel bolts on a gtr, but if thats what it is, then you should before it gets any worse. perhaps take it to a mech with a noise direction gun (if they exist)
  14. more opr less compared to what?
  15. either the wires are too cold and have carked it, or you need to plug them back in/swap the plugs over. could also be you lost the earth if you painted anything
  16. i would suggest it might not be spark. try a fuel filter change first, they are cheap at around 30-40 dollars and should be done anyway. Check the plug on the afm, and that none of the afm connector wires are damaged. How long ago did you clean it? people have mixed results from cleaning them when coilpacks die, it is usually more of a "slowly get worse" than a sudden death, so i would be looking at other things first. ther is always the take it to a mechanic option if you cant find it
  17. had to do this too, as my turbo was in the way of the stupidly wide arc made by the original piping. i dont think i want it close to the exhaust anyway i dont like the look of it tho, so will go some sort of front facing plenum eventually
  18. Is that adams white 33? i remember that intercooler
  19. where you at? i can do it if you havnt killed the motors
  20. do you still have a fat vct solenoid on front of your cam? i would say that has something to do with fitting it.
  21. i would try and screw it or bend it so it "clips" on, failing that any sort of hot glue gun will work, also consider mounting the mesh to the car, on the radiator support bracket so it sits just behind the grill. this is by far the easiest way as you can screw/rivet whatever you want. if you get it sitting close enough it will look great. there is always cable ties too
  22. most people install it anywhere that is easier to remove without making a mess. i can bring mine right out of the car without disconnecting anything, change filter and click back in
  23. i hope to be there, however my car needs an engine atm so wont be paying til i have one.
  24. smear some oil on the rubber seal of the filter, then screw it on as tight as you can with your bare hands. if it leaks, tighten a bit more with an oil filter wrench ($10) but it shouldnt have to be very tight
  25. hi im thinking about painting my rear guards.. need to know where i can get some ANO for my series 1 r33 from? i know there are auto paint shops around, but the ones i knew of have actually both shut up shop. anyone know a mob that do it or have leftovers?
