  1. edit: sorry
  2. may be hard to sell without fixing it. could be many things so its hard to say, but if your losing compression, there is a leak in your combustion chamber so either a ring problem, valve problem or head gasket problem. all of these are not cheap
  3. sounds like you are running too much boost for the ecu to handle. look up rich and retard. if your lucky your afm may be the problem showing high volts or its the wrong part. it should ahve a part number near the power plug on it
  4. do you mean 47 or 147? if 147 its not so bad but 47? the engine is pretty much cactus and needs opening
  5. should be a tee piece on the boost control side. otehrewise how can you tell if it was stock boost or not when the turbo went. you do have an air filter in the guard dont you? also, where did you source the second turbo gone, maybe it was not in good condition too.
  6. you should block off the bov from the inside. i dont beleive they operate well when open to atmosphere. i tried it a few times and it was causing all sorts of problems. take it off, and trace out the base onto a sheet of metal. cut it out and drill the two bolt holes, and install it with gasket between the bov and the intake pipe. a car should run fine without a bov. where does the hose that the yellow hose for the fuel reg connect to the plenum? also if your running stock boost control, why is there one hose blocked off over there?
  7. either clean that spark plug in some petrol, or carefully with a wire brush etc or pay $4 for a new one. if it gets fouled again, there may b esomething wrong with that cylinder. if there was oil gettting into the intake, it would be on all the plugs. either it is, and the other cylinders are happily burning it away, but no.6 is a weak spark etc. or the cylinder with the bad plug has bad rings or another problem. If your mechanic wants to rebuild it it may be cheaper to just buy a second hand engine rb20s are cheap as chips. as a quick check, swap the coil and plug to other cylinders and see if the problem moves too. how does it run, obviously stalling but does it rev smoothly or sound like a tractor
  8. actually i can get you a job. i work in an engineering department of a large hotel group, and we are hiring if you have general experience with plumbing/carpentry as well or are eager to learn. we will train you in these areas anyway, its just quicker if you already know SOMETHEING pm if interested
  9. shush dif! i was helping dammit looks like hes the guy anyway then. lol we all suck
  10. jmaac its a stock turbo... and out of interest i actually have the opposite on my car, two turbos, one afm/pod
  11. guy who does work with autosport can do it probably http://www.autosport.net.au/stickers.htm
  12. no, oportos lol saturdays are fine for me
  13. no such thing as a series 2, an rb25 power fc works on any
  14. they may not be getting enough water. where did you run the turbo water feed from? was the pipe right at the back of the stock plenum near the rocker cover
  15. perhaps they didnt tighten the bolts on the bottom of the window when they were in there. it often comes loose over time anyway
  16. come visit me in glenfield one day and have a play.
  17. its the same as a turbo one, actually with the extra part with the inlet pipe and res. it is suitable for anyone with an r33, as the turbo afm bolts onto the box you just leave out the resonator. could be worth 50 or 80 or more with a snorkel
  18. i think thats an na airbox. the main box part is the same but it has the massive reso on the pipe. no big deal; wont lose or gain any power
  19. the noise on startup may just be the fuel pump. even my stock one was hearable.
  20. 13-14psi boost on a highflow is not at all the same as 13-14 stock. that is your only problem. for sure the ecu is getting afm signals which make it say "WTF??". turn the boost down and try again ive had stock ecus pinging and retarding timing at 12psi and up on stock turbo. to attempt it with a highflow is a bit stupid without any other engine management
  21. she still has my car
  22. i just found a slightly larger bolt and forced it its just a bolt man. it needs a new thread one way or another. if you replace with something else, cut it first so its not overly long so ther is no chance of interfering with anything
  23. you dont have a torque converter tho. that may be why its a bit smudgy. should actually run fine enough for a while
  24. ingleburn, near subway
  25. funny. my tyre place said i was the first one to bring my own, and they are a rays dealer haha
