  1. you must have the wrong wire then. get the constant power from the radio, thats the easiest. do a test: wire the constant and "ignition on" power wires to the what you THINK is the constant power wire. if you are right and it is constant power feed, connect the battery and gauges should come on even without putting the key in. if they are off, you were off and try the wire you were using as the switched power feed. constant 12v is usually a yellow wire from an aftermarket cd player, switched power is the red one. constant meaNS STRAIGHT FROM THE BATTERY, without the ignition switch inbetween. this is the memory for things like the clock and stereo. elsewise, run a small cable straight from the battery with an appropriate fuse, this is the foolproof way
  2. put a wire wheel on a high speed drill, or better get a bench grinder with a wire wheel on it, it will leave everything extra shiny as it sort of "melts" it flat if you hold it on long enough. thats how we polish brass at work and has worked on most things ive tried around my car
  3. crap. i dont know if i will have my car for the 27th. i will have to get back to you on it, but will definitely come watch. Or maybe i will take the cressida out lol we shall see. i havent missed one yet. eug- what fu*& up actually i had a few last time lol. im fixing my reaar camber now so maybe i wont just wheelspin everywhere. then we will see.
  4. my oil temps dropped 30 degrees in highway driving thanks to a cooling pro oil cooler and filter relocating kit. even just the extra oil capacity makes a difference.
  5. you have a starlet? ahahaha but why do i know that- for shame. i have done a service on one b4, but most cars get the same problems so tell us the problem already!
  6. I have a 7mge. lol i can keep anything running
  7. i cant even find when the next one is on lol. yes brad is piecing it together, it's essentially the kit jago on the forums had but different pipe setup. and if he gets back to me in time maybe some 2530s, but so far it will be r33 turbos.
  8. im planning on going too btw, so everyone can watch me stuff around lol.
  9. did you get the batteries? lol congrats girl! like i said your new engine is very nice haha
  10. interested in having an rb25dett? i would like to come along but it is nowhere near a show car. basically a track car with numberplates but with some good gear on it.. dont know what you guys are after but mine is something different haha
  11. for those who like me who spent ages looking for it; my r33 gtst took an m12 bolt, with 1.25 thread. any hardware or car place will have one. cut it shorter and viola
  12. good result dave. i wouldnt be suprised if you actually had more at the engine, there are a lot of places you lose power on the dyno, plus you dont have any ram air intake or cooling 100kmh wind. i'll finally be doing my car soon i have 10 weeks annual leave. cya round
  13. what if you had a twin setup? i am very interested as i have bought a working rb25dett setup, but have an rb25 power fc. i also have an safc so was going to use that, but this looks much better? if i use a dead afm on one turbos intake, and a "live" one on the other, than they should have the same inlet restriction right... i need guidance for the cheapest/easiest way out lol. turbos are from r33 gtr
  14. try changing the fuel filter, its in the engine bay near the plenum and costs about 30-40 bucks from nissan. If thats not it, unfortunately you will have to open the fuel tank and have a squiz. similar thing happened to me, where the bosch 040 was installed with a hose that got eaten by the petrol and so the pressure was not getting through 100%. (despite the repco guy telling me it was submersible efi hose- bastard) what ecu is that on? if not stock perhaps the low rev light load maps need looking at
  15. any idea on postage to syd? its obviously huge but i am def interested
  16. last time risking tried a torque controller, but they were convinced he was doing 4 wheel burnouts and classed him accordingly thats good news scoobs! its always good to watch.
  17. you 2 even in the same class? cha
  18. i had a great day ripping everything out to find more once i found stuff. it was cool to find maps for the shops on the coupons, so i could have worked out where my car had been to. I didnt tho lol
  19. wow they must have skipped over cleaning out my car. dodgy little fellas had about 20 coins, plastic necklace, real necklace which is now mums, a kenwood cd stacker (despite carrozeria head unit- incompatible) under the passenger seat. paper wise, the whole car was riddled with mcdonalds receipts, parking tickets, coupons for stuff i cant work out, those little sticker-photos of i assume the previous owner and his chicky-babe. all sorts of jazz/ + 1 flare, which was a bit of a letdown when set off. maybe they go off? however- a jack without a handle, and nothing else in the way of tools (pinchy mcwharfie?) also car was delivered to me with 4 inch exhaust, illegal ride height, fibreglass body kit, no air filter and an hks ssqv. oh and 25mm spacers
  20. if you need to jump the car every time to start it, the battery is not charging. Make sure all connections are tight and jump it, drive for 30 min or longer, and that should be that. find a new alternator if that doesnt work, or a reco, either way you wont be installing it the auto electrician will
  21. it wont matter which order you install everything, as the power fc will be on the base map which wont change at all till you get it tuned if you read up on how to set it up for new injectors in paul's faq, you may consider doing them too.
  22. i have no skill but i was told i am fun to watch
  23. i can make it! >>>SUPERJEFF
