  1. as far as i understand it, you may start breaking shit because you have moved the centre of the wheel out, and it increases the length of the 'lever' to the chassis, which will put bigger forces on your suspension and mounts. of course i cant tell you how much of a difference it will make strngthwise, but i assume this is why they are not allowed under adr's. it will make a difference to handling but yeah will it be noticeable with only 10mm each side?
  2. add me up when money is through cheers bigears
  3. understeer dif? what the hell is that ive never come across it
  4. can we book something like that at oran? if we dont bother with the water it will be better. i feel you need either wet or dry not both, at least not both on the one corner. i cant deal with that while trying to slide. we only need to cones and a track to have a great skidpan day
  5. im not ashamed, i probably should be tho lol. not because corinnes a girl but because she has an rb20 (ooooh) i think i would have gone better with the stock ecu, as i wouldnt have span the wheels so much. it was just stupid how little grip i had in 1st and second. once i got going it was great tho. whens the next one?
  6. the point is i suck, but its fun as. definitely going to the next one, hopefully with some real rubber.
  7. lol i came last. good times tho for some of them, just crap times for the first clover, as i was overly sideways struggling for grip first time, did it nicely the 2nd time but when bozzy told me to put on some power we ran over the 4 cones of the tunnel. Actually that must have been a good time then lol.
  8. yeah but i never stopped lol you can see the tracks in the water, i was never getting out of it. but it was fantastic
  9. hah! there is some awesome footage there... nice clover. and a nice photo of me sideways too, thanks guys!
  10. lol i sucked at the clover though.. didnt like having someone in my car or at least wished he would stop talking. i dont know i know he wants to help but that doesnt really help. the best way to learn something like that is to do it wrong, then think about what happened and try again, not have someone treat you like a robot when half the stuff he is saying is what made you suck the first time.. ie: "the water is the braking point" = facing where i started. if he wants to give me advice he should drive my car first, instead of assuming its the same as everyoine else. mine is one of the cars that spins out heading into a roundabout at 10km/h. he also kept saying floor it but that again is the same thing, too much power so it just spins them up instead and i slide. definitely liked doing everything but had more fun on the slalom side, that was fun. fast cornering and then some tight slides to come back... awesome
  11. let everyone know when and where the vids go up. cant wait for the next one, it was great to actually drive my car like it wants to be driven. slipping and sliding is great fun. i hit some cones too and they do no damage to even my flimsy fibreglass bar, so all the day cost is petrol, the fee and a bit of rubber so there is no excuse for not going to the next one lol see you all there. im hoping someone has a video of my first (and THE first) run of the day as i was all messed up on the skidpan but it was so much fun
  12. no way, dave was top drifter mate.. in the clover leaf he ripped it
  13. i will rivet to your bracket thing if you want rob, but the allen keys are probably beyond those guys anyway. i dont think you will have any trouble, as thats when you will go to the police and say xyz, they wont draw attention to themselves tahts how crooks work
  14. quickest car obviously will go for maccas
  15. yeah dif, ive driven your car, so you can watch me drive mine : P lol if you change your mind about boats your welcome to have a crack.
  16. yeah i know thats half the plan, i havent got enough time to get organised. if i manage to change brake pads before the end of the week i'll be happy enough. unless your offering?
  17. what do we need to bring? ie helmets etc,
  18. that isnt back to back, it will take about 3min to swap. i need about 50 switches lol. have fun at oran.. u should have told me you bum
  19. yeah we should get on again, the longer we take the less "back to back" it is. next weekend im at oran park tho
  20. WD40 mate .. 10min before you start. front dump/ front pipe and cat make a real big difference, possibly the best mod for a stock car, even wihtout a catback
  21. no exhaust is fun, i had that for a month or two remember but yeah, getting there will be risky. too early in the day and too close to livo lol
  22. we need another one in a month or so, my car is already more powerful than before, and i want to try with the race exhaust.
  23. then we get all the other ctown thread bishes to come
  24. load and earth go straight to chassis, this means the nearest bolt on a metal part of the car. supply comes from the wire in the solenoid plug. perhaps you cut the wrong wire. trial it both ways. do not unplug this plug, just cut one wire on the solennoid side of the plug. if you leave the car loom alone you can always buy a new part if you want to sell it unboosted and wont get confused if something goes wrong.
