reset using ecu consult or turning key to "on" and pressing the button on the door frame that controls the light, do it on and off for 10sec. took us a bit of fu*kin round but we got it

stock turbo, stock injectors, stock afm.. fmic, full exhaust, boost controller, k&n filter nothing serious

surely its better for the tuner to start from something similar... if i plug the new ecu in and turn car on would it be the same as it was in the other car, eg. just to check if its working or not

i just purchased a powerfc with a map for a car with similar mods on it, should i reset it and start from scratch with tuning or run it as is and tune from there? any help appreciated

yes they are same. ignition coils have nothing to do with the settings, they are a closed system.

some people say you get a bit more lag with a cooler on, but im not sure i beleive that. ive done a few and am yet to notice. I usually do cars that have already got exhausts etc so maybe your still hanging on that restriction and have just increased the inlet tract, which would cause lag i guess. you are definitely right that you lose a bit of response fitting a large intercooler. before anyone says its not that big, have you ever compared it to a stock one? they are about 6X the size including end tanks and extra piping too. are you talking slower in general or slower boosting time from 0 > +7 on the gauge measured in seconds?

take it over the other side mate, thats why they give you such a big hose. Keymaker33 is right, thats the one i was on about. just cut in the middle with sidecutters and put t piece in, then run the hose over to your controller and then from controller to wastegate. viola. put cable ties or clamps on everything so it looks/is secure, if you lose boost through a leak it will affect your fuelling as your teeing off the fuel system's signal. Its not hard but just do it right.

i thought that the ecu would adjust itself to new mods quicker if you clear it, as it would adjust in large increments when first trying to learn, then smaller and smaller as it gets closer to optimum. when you change something tho, it has to use these tiny increments to get to the new optimum running... so reset it and it starts off big again thats my lil story

dude your not set at +7 (14psi) its set at INFINITY... you will blow it up awful quick. No ecu can handle that safely, the stock one will not know how to fuel it and cannot stop it from spinning, so u get bogged down. you need to intersect a vacum hose ove on the intake plenum, and run a hose from that to the stock boost control. buy a 3x5x3mm t piece for an air hose and a 4mm hose about 1.5m long. Easiest but not best spot to T it is to the fuel regulator's boost signal, its on the front of the plenum and goes from the fuel rail about 6cm long to the plenum. Sorry i dont have the technology to take a pic (camera) but perhaps there is one out there somewhere?

thats why mine is above where it goes into the block. before this, i was unscrewing it and lifting it higher, you will never get it all out this way (at least how mine was set up) but you can get a lot. i change oil often enough that im not worried about the quality of what is still in there.

i'm another with that front bar, it was described to me by the importer as N-Spec, but it don't really believe him. i always thought it made the car look like what a skyline looks like in my head, rounded and chunky instead of covered in mesh and holes. easy to fit front mount too.
