  1. i'll take it, pm me if its still available
  2. hi was wanting to get an exhaust for r33 that would be legal (90db or less) and pick up from kirrawee in the next week. let me know if you can help please.
  3. yes it is apparently, but everywhere i read you have to "make up a larger feed for the stock airbox". when i figure this out i will share but it is not easy in the r33 engine bay if you have intercooler piping in the way of the original Edit: anyone done so? pics?
  4. screw in for more boost, so when you first put it on have it screwed out so you dont overboost straight away, turn it bit by bit til you get to a good boost level. PLEASE NOTE : this instruction is for turbotech design only, some other bleed valves may work differently.. if you have a different controller it may be the opposite. If so and you blow up your turbo dont come crying to me.
  5. these types of threads are awesome if anyone seriously wanted to "race" another car, couldnt you just go to the drags and compare timeslips? street racing and people revving each other up like this is the reason we get a bad name. as far as im concerned, the fastest any of us have ever been is 110km/h, if you've been quicker than that on our roads you were speeding and dont deserve your licence. Either get out on a track or buy a property out in the sticks
  6. this is what you did right? its not very difficult, only two hoses. you can take the stock solenoid out or leave it in the car, either way block all unused hoses by screwing a suitable screw into the end and maybe a zip tie over it. there is only one small hose you need to do this to though. if your having trouble maybe you forgot this bit lol.
  7. how does that picture mean side mirrors? crazy japs
  8. ejector seat
  9. silicon spray is like wd, but it doesnt smell. everyhthing is nice and shiny, and its free from work
  10. if your car was delivered from factory (option or standard equipment) you cannot replace it with a non air bag wheel. i have a series 1 r33. while airbag was an option my car was not ever fitted with one. i can fit a tennis racket if i like. as long as its the right diameter and all that lol
  11. isnt 1psi whats above my head right now? you shouldnt have to blow through it at all i thought air was 1 psi
  12. ok as far as i can tell: red is the input into the unit, when the ignition is off, the timer routes this power through the yellow to keep the ignition on. the blue wire must be the trigger, whe acc+ign go off, the blue wire loses voltage and the timer switches the yellow on (or, the yellow is always on, and the blue lets the timer know that it is now in control) yellow and blue may be the other way around (to keep ign and acc on, i dont know) but this is probably how it works earth is earth. duh. so all that is left is the handbrake grey wire. this must be a safeguard of some sort so it knows you are parked. )if you crash and switch off engine/it cuts out, i doubt you ill have the handbrake on). This looks to be the problem then, whatever signal you are putting through this wire is the wrong one. If you still have the handbrake wwire connected to your handbrake ie dash light works, then run a cable to the loom on the handbrake in your console, you only have to remove the handbrake boot and you should be able to see it. if that makes it work, then hide the wire under the console and your done, if not, maybe you blew the timer setting it up good luck. i dont have a timer, and have never installed one, but im a logical man and this is how i assume it works
  13. i beleive i missed out? crap..pls advise how long till the next one or should i just pay retail
  14. yeah i cant beleive im helping this guy out.. if he isnt driving with safety and courtesy i dont want him on the same road as me. but i do know what its like to get booked for something stupid (was on today tonight in the height of P PLATER hating season 2-3yrs ago) . It sucks ass. seriously... you shouldnt have parked in a handicapped zone... and if your friends were only 2 min i wouldnt turn the car off.. just roll around the carpark. none of this stay with the car bs.. if you were with it and it was still on ie keys in (idiot) or turbo timer (also illegal- car should not be on when ignition turned off) cop may have told you off anyway Edit: just showing how it wont stand in court anyway
  15. perhaps your exhaust is the problem, if it is free flowing enough air will go through the turbo still when the wastegate is open. air goes the easiest way...is that a tiny wastegate hole or the already spinning turbo with nothing behind it? can someone please lend a knowing ear?
  16. i agree, front mounts are NOT restrictive at all, just pipe length is longer. I found running 7psi in r33 stock turbo is the same (in terms of lag) as with my frontmount on and running 10psi. I have full exhaust mods, so the thing actually slowing me down seems to have been the tiny stock intercooler. Now i get more power and boost up to it in the same/similar time. I dont beleive pipe length is truly as big a deal as its made out to be, although its obvious it must have an effect.
  17. his photo cant prove you weren't with someone who is in a wheelchair right? they were inside when he took the shot.
  18. do you mean the first few times you gun it it gets to 13, but later it stops at 10? that sounds more like management problems to me
  19. i dont think thats what he meant.. cf tailshaft is something either done last on high budget vehicles or not really done at all, simply because of the expense i guess. i never even considered one, and wouldnt unless i had to get a custom one made up for an engine conversion into something else. i never thought they were only 2g though
  20. gears look awesome, bung em on soon when i do the timing belt. thanks man they really look the goods. Champion effort.
  21. to blip the throttle in neutral, you need to lighten pulleys, flywheel etc, remove anything draining on the engines spin eg. the A/c and perhaps rebuild with lighter, fully balanced internals. I doubt it would be anything like what you are finding in gt4 though... if you want to do it in gear, you need everything as above, but more power too. It can only rev as quick as it pulls. or buy shit rear tyres
  22. price is great, but how long would that take?
  23. hi i was wondering if you were able to get any peII's for r33 i went to your shop yesterday but apparently there were only hks hi powers. and what price can you do them for. thanks
  24. where can i get one of the series 2's that was "wrong" ? im wanting to bodgy it up for something else on my series one 33.
  25. does anyone know where to buy caps to block off my intercooler piping? eg. blow off valve fitting size? i tried autopro because they are awesome, but they dun have them that big.\ i need to block off some of the fittings on my front facing plenum piping.
