awesome thread lol those two are asses, no doubt about that. please someone read them part 3 of the getting-your-black-license ahndbook from the rta, that should give them an idea.. tos*ers i think these guys live near me, as despite the rain today im listening to two coughing engines in cars doing burnouts at the park. I drive a modified gtst, have for almost a year. i have been driving for four, and used to cover 1000km+ a week through working as a labourer all over sydney, in heavy peak hour traffic and none, in rain, hail and shine. First car i owned was an ea falcon (about as quick as a magna lol) and covered 120 000km in that, before several other cars before the skyline. I do not touch boost unless i have to pass someone, or have just turned on the m5. you never need to floor it enough to hit boost on a public road. EVER. So why would a p plater with no desire for driving racetrack s ever want a turbo. Because you are a poser there are plenty of ways to kill yourself without adding extra power. all it takes is one kid, one dog, one other car...A shadow on the road from a bird is enough to cause you to react and wrap around a tree. If your not expecting it, you will die. If your about to say your a great driver and handle everything that comes your way, why would you speed in a residential zone, esp. at night, when you cant see anything coming unless its in your headlights. it takes time to react and time to put brakes on/swerve etc and even at 60km/h, it takes about 50m to stop. please remember you are driving older cars so distances may be longer again. just be careful, you will crash and you will get hurt or injure someone, its just a matter of time, which ive waasted enough of on you. cya p.s. dont die near me

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
jeffworld2 replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if you cut the spring, you just have to screw it in further, best mod for this controller is to remove all restrictors in the lines if there are any and have more pressure acting on it which makes it a bit more accurate. i put the flat end of the spring to the ball, as it seemed like something you didnt want to foul the movement of, as opposed to the bolt that stays still anyway. bearing i found worked by the way, and i have 12 more here lol. as long as it fits in it will block the end -
dude its a clutch... kmart tyre and auto in minto did mine

please someone explain this?

crap man i lost the ball when it fell apart trying to lower boost too much, it is gone, ive been trying to find a bearing or something of similar size with no luck, i remember when i first read this thread and someone lost the ball and i was like ha what a dumbass but now i see lol anyone have any luck replacing it? -
easy easy job! rang nissan to get part for r33, then picked it up. this morning with cold engine, opened fuel filler, unscrewed clamp at lowest point, where rubber meets metal pipe from back of the car. this gave me the ability to twist it off with plenty of room (remove dipstick and come at it from the side). once that one is off, u can pull the filter from the bracket and bring it above the engine bay to remopve the top filter hose from the filter. then take the filter and bottom hose still attatched and remove it wherever/however you want. reverse to put on. 10 min.

for all those who are wondering... problem turned out to be that the cold air box over the pod had damaged a wire to the afm over time. i soldered a new wire in and span the afm around and mounted the pod bracket to a different bolt, so that this cant happen again. only 2-3 strands of the damaged wire were cut, so we were able to idle and rev but as the load increased the afm was unable to send an accurate output to the ecu, and the motor would stop. as far as i know these wires are only running power that the ecu compares to 5 volts, so any small damage has a dramatic effect to the current i guess. dont mind me im trying to sound smart lol

aww, phil, you missed out, it was raining and shitty and everything lol

It will turn back on and drive another 50m before shutting off again.. what the heck is wrong with his car? any ideas appreciated. We have checked most things already but cant find anything wrong
