  1. good work smarty pants. Has got me thinking.
  2. check and see if anything other than body panels is bent, like the battery tray area, lower and upper radiator supports, etc. if so you have a decent job on your hands to fix it. If it is just panels, then go and buy some
  3. alternator, starter etc are not really part of the ecu harness. truthfully there is not that much to wire up, look up the s13 conversion threads as there is one good diagram in there
  4. have a set of factory r33 rims in sydney, tyres are not terrible, one of the rears is gone after too many one wheelers but others not bad $150 for all 4
  5. beleive that goes through the plenum, throttle body etc., or the oil cooler
  6. Hi I have standard r33 BOV, standard intercooler and the pipes sitting here for a car i dont own anymore. Make me an offer Can pick up from Glenfield or Leichhardt
  7. forget the timing for the moment, sort out the injectors, it may solve your issues if you are on stock ecu Might be easiest to find some standard rb20 injectors and go back. Your ecu may be retarding timing based on the injectors not fuelling as expected. I would even suggest putting the cas somewhere in the middle after doing inj. If you have an aftermarket ecu let us know as it changesthings completely
  8. I will have my trailer out and about if you still need a hand. I could use a new washing machine. I dont have anyone strong enough to help me though, although i am hercules. I live in leichhardt so close, pm me if you want a hand on saturday arvo or preferably sunday
  9. Hey Rob mate long time no see Sorry to hear about the car Let me know if you need a hand with anything, I'm in Leichhardt now and have a new mobile so just pm on here.
  10. actually it wouldnt be that hard to convert the IAC, just drill and tap new holes to mount it and make a hole for airflow. might find you can reuse at least one of the original boltholes and the main airway too. I made a blanking plate for mine in the old r33, and with a rips plenum i had to start from scratch just as above. Obviously taking the top half of the plenum off would make it easier.
  11. i wired mine into the plug under the airbox in a standard car
  12. if you need camber arms gem i still have a brand new set from Just Jap at my parents i had bought for the old car. If yours is lowered that could be helpful
  13. agh missed it ive been in the US. Gem can you invite me to the next one? the GTR is finished
  14. Thought id have a crack at explaining the difference between air pressure and air volume blow up a balloon to 10psi now blow up a hot air balloon to 10psi see which one takes longer. Its ok i know im the best ever ciao
  15. I played around with this too with a 26 loom into a gtr with no loom whatsoever, It took a bit of mucking around. from memory I made a direct feed to the injector pack and one to the ecu. I did not have relays for my loom, however i used to take the relay pair out of my 33 to drive the race car so i assume most are interchangeable. I ended up using a couple from supercheap permanently. It took a fair bit of work and diagram searching to get the loom to work again after i stupidly removed the green holders for the relays without marking anything, as 3 are the same black and white. I think black and white was from the battery x2, the orange was the trigger and one black and white was for the load side of the relay and the purple and black was also load side. There are a few other things you need to start the car with a factory ecu, however you can check if the ecu is even running by taking off the cas. If you have it right, you should be able to spin it with your fingers and hear the injectors tick away and sparks too, if one works and not the other that tells you something too Seriously took me a few days to nut it out, noone seems to want to give away the secrets, while i had the manual, its not always as clear as it could be.
  16. Hey mate im after pretty much everything inside an r32, including: Carpet blinker/wiper setup on wheel fan/heater box and ducting etc. basically doing the oppopsite of what you are, i have a dash and dash pad thats about it. Let me know if you can help id prefer to bring a trailer around and grab it all in one spot
  17. Hi all I am in need of some random parts for my 32's bluey. * Drivers seatbelt and catch * Ignition key and barrel so i can do the steering-lock thing when car is off * Indicator parts- lever and thermal flasher * Drivers seat mounts (ie the parts tack welded to the car) gtr or gtst, dont care. Probably more parts needed i will add to the list.
  18. why is everyone so scared of pulling turbos? if your not putting factory lines back on its very quick. Hardest part is the front pipe which comes off regardless. Then you are 8 bolts and some tin snips away from victory the flanges on aftermarket dumps seem to like grabbing ac piping and scratching the rails on the way as you need to roll a bit to get the mounts off the frame. If you have a second person to help look out its not too bad i guess but sucks doing the crane and watching everything.
  19. Took mine out/ and put it in always through the top, can't do much else in the driveway. I have taken it out with the gearbox and without, now i tie the box to the roll cage and just push it back a bit leaving it in the car. much easier to do if you pull turbos off. I can lend you the manual if you want too. I also have an attatchment for the crane which allows you to tilt easily but you lose a bit of height so depends on the crane. If you drop the gearbox crossmember and tilt the engine back you can more easily get at the starter bolts, i just did it with a ring spanner. Just watch the dumps on the other side
  20. Amongst other things, a handstand?
  21. This car is in Holsworthy? and i didnt know? Mine is one suburb away. If you need some ideas for what to do next lol Also if you change your mind about pulling the engine i can help you do turbos in the car, its not too bad a job just takes a while.
  22. put it on recirculate and see if its any different. used to work with my r33. I think it used to suck in the engine bay air or something when vented. otherwise check the little valve thing on the heater hose is doing its job/still connected, and maybe even wire it shut if you dont think you need the defog
  23. Could you take a photo of the seat rails from the drivers door? interested to see what happens near the tunnel as far as mounting goes or if they are just welded to the floorpan
  24. seriously, just go to bunnings. can be replaced with pretty much anything
  25. Have anything for an r32 gtr in 17x9? Needs to clear a decent braking setup, around 380mm clearance needed on the inside around the hub area for the calipers
