Ive done this a few times now. sometimes you need to leave one disconnected when going S2 afm into series one but really the first i did it trial and error until it ran basically. there is a good "nissan AFM wiring" or similar document floating around on another site which shows how to run anything off anything.
  4. Ive got an r32 loom going into a race car with no loom whatsoever. Ive so far sorted out the power feed for the resistor pack and found the injector feeds in one of the big plugs on what i assume is the passenger guard part of the loom near the afms. I'm sure you must be able to just run one or two power feeds to the loom somewhere on these plugs but i can't trace where. not having seen the original car makes things a bit tricky.
  5. actually i would have a look at the reverse switch on the side of the gearbox. Take the plug off and short the wires to see if the light goes on and off
  6. Ok found they were either M10, 1.5 or M10 1.25 sbout 35mm long and just used big washers for them. They are whichever thread was NOT the same as starter, gearbox housing etc that is pretty much standard everywhere else. Sorry couldn't be more specific but i bought a ton of each for the car.
  7. Anyone have any specifics? I have a 26 with loom im trying to power up. As i don't have the factory body loom i need a bit of info I'm just trying to power up everything properly.. do i just run positive to the 2 relays near ecu or do i run it to the plug on the driver strut tower?
  8. Hi I'm sorry to do this but i really don't have any bolts around to try! I need to know the bolt sizes for the gearbox mounts in my r32 gtr as indicated in the pic, I also don't have the piece of metal which goes under the two bolts and holds everything sweet to the chassis. I was wondering if i can make one out of flat or if it has a protrusion into the middle hole or not as it looks like they will have to be awfully big boltheads otherwise Any ideas are helpful. thanks
  9. I can make some for you pretty easy if you want, but you need to bring the old pieces or the car. Have a go yourself, its probably one piece of metal with 2 holes and a bend

  21. grab my series 1 for 8k, just did rego and replaced 4x tyres, well looked after and looks tough. has trust exhaust and a bunch of performance mods, 120,000km motor was rebuilt with gtr rods new pistons etc at 100 on the dot as i had big plans but ended up with a gtr. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wh...hs-t316528.html plenty of pics if you scroll down, and i have a few different boots with different wings and a spare set of wheels to throw in amongst other parts that won't suit the gtr
  22. What colour is your current bar? i have a car in glenfield with factory gtr bar in gunmetal grey. Depending on whats broken on yours i wouldnt necessarily mind swapping as its for a track car. PM me a pic if possible

  24. Hi all just wondering if you had an entire engine loom for an s13 or s14? I have a "62" ecu and AFM to suit, and i have an engine loom that doesn't have connectors that match a lot of parts example the afm is different, ecu is different and aac valve plugs too. I need the ecu plug for a 60 or 62 ecu, with 2 blue prongs either side of the centre bolt not 3 If possible i need the loom to suit the engine, ecu and AFM as mine is obviuously from a different model. Pretty desperate for this, waited 2 weeks for a loom off ebay and i doesnt have the damn injector section. I am assuming its a plug in job like r33's. If anyone can help im happy to drive round syd to pick up. Not necessarily needed permanently as we have a motec with loom but i am trying to get it to run on the standard ecu as the motec is currently out of action. $$ sitting here
  25. ok..little bit off topic but as its my topic i will give it a shot Here is a pic of the standard setup, I was wondering if anyone is aware of the workings of the aac valve. My idea is to run the clutch and brake booster from a tee'd line on the two red hoses, assuming that they are straight from the balance bar, meaning the yellow part is just a vacum reservoir so to speak in standard form and not valved off in any way. fyi pic is not my car, just one i found. I dont actually have an aac valve to use, and don't really want one as it is a track only car i don't care if it idles high
