  1. Contact me and I can give you the the details to VT Systems they sell kick ass SPL record breaking subs and amps doran only talks about it these guys do it!
  2. Join a wire between the 12V and the REMOTE wire at the terminals on the amp and see if it turns on, if not check the earth on the body from the amp. If you have 12V at mains and remote and earth and it still doesnt turn on check the fuse on the side of the amp, if still no go take the amp back under warranty. P.S Best to check with a test light.
  3. \ It will be found in the loom from behind the fuse box or even in the kick panel. if it is only for your boost gage then get it from any plug which lights up the switches when you turn on your park lights e.g cigarette lighter, dimmer switch even the factory stereo plug has the park lights wire there. P.S Use a test light for the quickest and easiest way to find it.
  4. The Autowatch 456rli has the features your looking for and more.
  5. You must press and hold the remote if it is in turbo run on mode the siren should chirp all sectors should be armed except for movement sensors they arm 10 secs after engine switches off. If you just press it once then only the doors will lock and the the chirp you here 10sec later is the immobiliser kicking in not the alarm.
  6. There still may not be enough cranking amps in the battery put some jumper leads on from another car and try again to start it, if the siren was chirping while trying to start then it tells me that you may have low battery power in the car and the starter motor is trying to get power from anywhere in the car such as the back up battery siren.
  7. check the fuses in the engine bay under the plastic cover, instruments or park lights, ther are also fuses in the boot and a circuit breaker which says "audio" the furthest on back
  8. Green/red wire is the illumination wire when u turn your park lights on
  9. 12. Hi, The main issue that needs to be considered is reliability, and replacement parts. The Mongoose is found plentiful here in Australia so parts arn't really a problem whereas the viper is a. not that reliable and there are not many companies that can service your alarm. Remote start is illegal in Australia and we would only consider this if your car was automatic. Our recommedation would be the top of the line Autowatch 456rli which gives you all of the security features you need and it also gives you a turbo-timer as well. The Mongoose is priced at $450 installed and the Autowatch 456 is $550 installed. As for 2 way alarms we have a paging system that can send you an SMS notification when ever your car is being tampered with direct to your mobile phone wherever you are in the country this is priced at either $400 extra or $700 extra depending on which paging system you choose. Please call us if you have any other questions. Regards, Leon Security In Motion
  13. If it is quality you are looking for do not look at Antitheft. I can't even begin to tell you about all the problems that have occured with them. Let's just say Ford use them and some of their cars caught on fire! And on a security level they are easier to by-pass and to get inside the main module you can break it open with one finger or just chew through the "security housing" ........not good! Mongoose is a little better but Autowatch has never let me down.
  14. Hi, The Autowatch 446premier remote alarm has a 3 point immobiliser, built in turbo-timer, a range of intelligent sensors. Autowatch also have reliable GSM systems the Autocate 800, they also have Antihijack systems, Keypad immobilisers, window closers all of which have proven reliability. But make sure the installation is done by Licensed and experienced technicians to ensure its reliability. Cheers.
  15. If your talking about remote controls for your alarm then you need to know what brand of alarm/immobiliser you have because not all work with differant brands. Hopefully if the company is still around you can then get replacement remotes which would still need to be tuned in to your alarm.
  16. Perhaps an alarm with antihijack is an option for you they usually have the lock and unlock with ignition as well
  17. Autowatch make a very nice keypad which is very reliable
  18. Autowatch have a nice keypad which is very reliable
  19. My recommendation would be to call the person who installed the alarm and or contact Autowatch directly, there is no point asking people who don't know anything about car alarms.
  20. After disarming the alarm the siren should not sound when the battery is disconnected if it is digital, if it does then contact the manufacterer.
  21. Tracking is usually very expensive especially if there are annual monitering fees. When you you add the costs of insurance, rego, greenslip, fuel and all the money spent in mods and add-ons it can make you think is it worth it? Most insurance companies don't stipulate that you must have Tracking in your car and if they do, then you should consider another insurer because under the latest Government regulations as long as the product is Australian Standards and/or Insurance Standards then they usually cover you for theft, so if they are willing to replace the car then what's the problem. A good security system with multipoint immobilisation, keyguard and antihijack is by far a safer way to protect your car against theft and if that isn't enough then you can get a GSM Paging system on a prepaid simcard so your car can notify you if someone is breaking in.
  22. The R33 factory immobiliser doesn't even come close to Australian Standards or any standards in fact. Call Security In Motion and they can advise you on this matter.
  23. Hi Try Security In Motion they cover all of Sydney and guarantee a quality job.
  24. Hi mate go to the thick wiring loom in the drivers kickpanel (to the right of your left foot) and find a thin red wire, it is one of 2 and it is the thinner one out of the 2, you can tell because the other one is a little thicker in diameter. I have been fitting car alarms for Security In Motion for the past 5 years and if we don't know nobody does! Next time just call us.
  25. Have a look in Fast Fours Magazine Security In Motion have an alarm with a turbo timer built in so you can have your alarm on while the turbo timer is still running and your car is safe from the time you get out and press the remote. Good value too.
