For those of you who have installed sard injectors in your rb25, you may have noticed the standard plugs on the wiring harness dont fit. Because I have got the sard plugs to wire into the injector harness, just a quick question. its a bit stupid but i just wanna be on the safe side. My question being do the wires go into my new plugs for the sards the same way that they were in the original plugs or do the + and - get the switcheroo? Im assuming the wires stay on the same side but i just want to get the ok from someone who has previously wired in the different plugs onto the injector harness. Just to let you know they are side feed 850cc injectors... thanks

If its the blitz id3, they have an english installation manual at nengun.com when you bring up the product. but im sure there are heaps other places with manuals etc

hmm cutting the pipe seems to be the easier route to take. im more worried about trying to get this damn broken stud out at the moment. ill update with how it works out. thanks

I had a closer look today at where the water return pipe goes. I think I am going to get out the long nose pliers to try and get the pipe off at the back of the plenum. If that fails im going to just cut into the line where i can get to it easier and hope for the best. Oh and the skyline manual i have doesnt really give much idea as to where the pipe leads to. i was having a read through it last night and all i got out of it was to clean out the pipe once its off. haha.

Hi all. I have an RB25 and im upgrading my turbo to a gt3540. atm im at the stage of figuring out how to connect the water line from the turbo to the back of the block. So my question is, how the hell do i fit into that tiny space at the back of the block and get it on? are there any tricks like cut the current one and just join the hose halfway or something like that??? any help would be much appreciated as i am totally baffled as to how i am going to do it. Oh and another question for the people that know absolutely everything about skylines.... Which way does the water travel to and from the turbo? from the side of the block to the rear of the block which i cannot get to, or the other way around????? Thanks David. PS. Hi everyone, I was lucky enough to snap the last stud when removing my exhaust manifold last night. I had a search around and i couldnt find anyone who could do this locally. Just wondering if anyone knew of a service in the Capalaba/ Brisbane area that could come out to my house and remove the broken stud? If anyone knows a company name or number i could call it would be much appreciated. I would really like to do it myself but i would probly lose my temper trying to get to it with a drill. i had a genuine bomex bar and it was fibreglass but surprisingly flexible, compared to the fibrglass copy i have now

get a catch can and it would most likely stop. had same issue with a mates car and we took it to a gtr tuner and he said it needed a catch can as we had the top blocked off

wouldnt it be cheaper to get a piggy back for your standard ecu just to run a z32 afm?

mates car ran on a link ecu and the fuel consumtion was horrible, but i guess it depends on the tune. upside to having one would be not having to use an afm.

i have had experience with a gizzmo, greddy profec b spec II and the blitz id3. and the blitz is by far the easiest to use and best looking. if your after the wank factor of scramble boost, not all ebcs have them eg: greddy profec b, but i can tell u the blitz and the gizzmo do. hope that helps

Hi all, i was wondering if someone could help me with a problem im having. Im having my engine light slightly flicker on at high revs and i have no idea why its coming on. I have a power fc and all of the readings are fine when it happens (peak hold on). i would assume it would be knock but i dont get a knock reading over 15, injectors dont max out, everything is fine. does anyone know what else it could be to cause the engine light to come on at high revs? its also running at stock boost aswell. oh and it doesnt consistantly happen, only sometimes when i put my foot down through 2nd. any ideas would be graet thanks.

running rich, get the power fc tuned to reduce the amount of fuel goin in. just my opinion. i have the same issue. my white bar is fairly black these days too

sounds like your getting water into your intake. i have had that on my car when i go through big puddles. i have a hole under the pod filter where i think the stock intercooler went, and the water heads up through there into the air filter. makes the car run like s**t for a while.

They are not easy to come across. I had enough trouble finding a picture of one of these. I have tried searching for places that sell them and I had no luck. I really want one of these wings too. I only seen it on this car and the DRAGME skyline.

Yea its definantly coming on under heavy load. I have only seen the engine light come on twice or so, and im constantly looking at the amount of knock coming out and i rarely get it to or over 30. I just wanted to lower that even more to a much safer value. Im fairly happy with the settings i have so far, I just wanted to reduce the knock a little more in the heavy load part of the map. ill take another look at the map tracer and go from there i guess. I would really like to get a tune asap for the car but its a bit pointless because im getting the turbo put in most likely next month because i have everything to go in already. besides if i didnt have a go myself, i would have never known what to do or how to reduce knock.

Ok i managed to reduce the knock quite a lot just by making minor adjustments to my PFC. I put the IGN/IJN values to +1 and 1.136 which were originally 0 and 1.000. does anyone have any feedback to wether this could be more dangerous at all or cause any issues? the knock readings dramatically reduced and i didnt really get any knock over 20 for this which im fairly happy with. Oh and thanks to Paulr33 who wrote up the guide on the power fc, its very helpul.

Hi all. Currently im saving my dollars to get my new turbo installed on my car, the issue im having is im using a power fc on a base tune just so i can get around before it gets the proper tune when my turbo goes in. The issue im having is i get the engine light to come on when i give the throttle some love. I do know it is overly knocking when it happens and i do manage to drive the car really carefully to keep the knock under 20 or so. (it only really knocks when going up a hill or something like that, its not constant.) My first question is, would a stock ecu show the engine light in the same manner as the power fc if it produces too much knock? Secondly, how would I go by reducing the knock if i were to keep the PFC in my car? I have a basic understanding that you have to increase fuel and udjust timing, but where do you do it and by how much do you adjust it at a time? thanks. david
