  2. Looks like fun day and all the main players there and good roll up considering it was FREEEZING, I must admit I am a bit of a fair weather sailor with my boat. I was home with my slippers, cardigan, log fire and a glass of Port. I was there in spirit and had the big download of what went on and all from Paul L. I heard the brake air deflector worked we.
  3. Rev it up sounds like a wishy washy. Pull you zipper around the front will you. Has someone infiltrated Beer Barons password and did this Miss Daisy post? Give me the real Beer Baron. When the guys came up front Vic to go to Eastern Creek which is a nice track but no where near Phillip Island and 90% drove up to see the sun and go to our track, and bunch of them to. Hey Snowman how many were there of you by the way? GTR Jason, Abobob got your ears on and Paul Lewis??
  4. Well done Snowman and you know I am in big time. I have been seriously corrupted as now I have experienced this track I am hooked. I came down for Dat Nats and drove all that way for 14 laps and WELL WORTH it had a ball. It is the best track in Australia if not the world. Very immaculate track, no marbles, clean and smooth with heaps of grip, big immaculate sand traps and grass is even cut nice and green, and very challenging and fast track. Looking at the ocean at 280ks an hour going down the straight is awesome. Beer Baron stop beer talking and say a big, YES I will be there!! Good time of the year also. This track is so hard to get to and this is the big chance as noise limit on this special weekend is lifted, two days, sure to be well run with some great cars. Big Nissan roll up of GTS-T's, GTR's the odd cardigan wearer in zeds and maybe some quick SR's and EVO's Sti's Porsche’s????? Zed V GTR down straight.
  5. Bozman in GTR with good team will be very competitive. I trust Bozo with my 300 thousand ZX for sure. He is amazingly 1.2 seconds faster than me at Wakefield, in my car with seat not suited to him as a lot shorter than me and not easy to adjust, so we didn't. If you get the chance get him to drive your car with you in it if aloud or get him to drive your car by him self to show youwhat it can do, do it. I learn alot watching and talking to race drivers after they drive it. Jose Fernadez, John Web, Aaron Lewis and Warren Luff have all driven my car.
  6. No Cams licence required for this one. DS2500 are a great road and track pad. Brake air deflectors are also a good idea. Keep in mind it is a Saturday at a Sydney track and with pro drivers to learn from this is well worth going and not expensive. I might get the Slot Car out and out and see if Bozzo can do in it. I have been doing track days at Oran Park since 1984 and I always learn something from Bozzo.
  7. Awesome result guys 1st and third. I was out at E Creek on Sunday in perfect conditions watching this array of top class cars competing in all the vents. Warren Luff race driver in 700hp twin turbo GT2 did a 1 min 39 something and Russ in R32 GTR did a 1 min 40.67. The Giant boys were hitting rev cut at the start finish line which is well form the end of the straight which is amazing. Lots of EVO's busted gear boxes or transfer cases and one busted egnine>?
  8. I was not following this thread enough obvisouly as I missed this. So many pages and so many posts. Next time put in flashing lights and email is more direct. If Abo bob or Ior BEEEEEER BARON was awareat the timeofchanging. Anyway those who wanted to made both and all good.
  9. Yep I know all cool. 770's what power is it making? I amek 456rwkw with 770's but zeds don't need as much fuel to make same power. We make just over 400rwkw with 550cc injectors in the boats. This is maxing things out though and any more power needs 700's. Did you run 2rismo?? What about Theo? Go jacks can only mean locked front diff from something terminal I suspect? With teh numbers he is running and pushing that car it is no wonder as BIG power and times. I should clall him up and see. I spoke to him on the Friday and luv getting the rev up from Theo.
  10. Hey champ dirtgarage what have I done or not done? I assume you think I planned this clash of days or just striing the pot and having fun I assume?? I mainly circuit race and if I was aware this event was on naturally I would have suggested it be on another weekend. At the time of changing the date and discussion following and for quite a few days if not more the thread on SAU was up for input, and funny thing was no one said, hey big drag day on, until you did which was too late. Anyway did you run your car and did Theo run his and how did you go? I do plan on getting back to the drags soon with the Slot Car.
  11. Big day and ran 46 cars on dyno which is 2 short of last year although one of those was the my zed. There wer a few that could not run asran out of day. One of our mechanics Ben had to leave just after lunch for a family engagement. As we originally had him booked or the Saturday earlier. Andrew coped for the rest of the arvo. It was great to catch up on some old and some new faces. Interesting to see what some of the cars did and I think obvious to most it was worth checking cars on dyno, even those recently dyno tuned showed what tune and power was like. Some cars showed all good, whilst others showed issues. Goes to show I that always a good idea to run car on dyno to check and see especially if modified and above standard horse power to prevent issues damaging motor. From what I see and hear SAu have the most cars on dyno for any car club certainly by far Soarer, Silvia FTO and 300ZX forum. Well done guys and what a roll up as car park was almost full. Next year gardeners won't be in the way and UAS will be fully set up and sure to be bigger and better and brake all records and run 50 plus cars. Big thanks to Adam and everyone who helped out and welldone as very well run.

Go to the end of M2 and turn left, DO NOT GO ACCROSS OLD WINDSOR ROAD which becomes Abbott road, you must turn left onto Old Windsor Road and then turn right at the next big intersection which is Powers road. Although no sign there is a big Kennard’s hire on the corner. Go down Powers Road and we are third on the left which is Tucks road and we are down the end on the right.   13. So tempting but simply too hard and can not go. Got way too much on with getting new shop ready and dyno room for this Sat SAU dyno day. Would love to come out and chop GTR Jason again, well at least give it a good go. Also preping car for Circuit Battle next week at Wakey. Sounds like a great bunch of candidates going and perfect weather and conditions too. Ports and maybe Wizard my Zed buddies I think are going and give these Skyline boys a run.
  14. That is gold the slippers and the cardigan. GTR Jason is on the phone giving me a rev as we speak. You guys are sort of going about it the wrong way though. Try angle that Zeds are boats and drivers can't drive and they just look good.

Like Range Rover owners with their can of spary on mud and come to work Monday saying they had a good weekend off road. At least you are out there having a go.   16. Mine is there now in Circuit battle display dents and all. Was also photraphed by Auto Salon in a all white studio on Thursday for a future issue again warts and all. Remy car I forgot to mention my brakes and I have custom Wilwood peddle box mounted in factory location, and custom made accelerator peddle made from Chrome Molly tube, with in cabin brake bias adjustment. Front brakes are 6 piston GT3 mono block Brembo Porsch calipers with Alcon 365mm floating two piece hats and rear are 4 psiton AP racing two peice rotor with hydraulic hand brake, and 330mm slotted rotors. Cooling is front and rear air deflectors and ducting. Rotors and pads cryo treaded and DS3000 pads. Also run a fuel cooler for return fuel which is factory second hand oil cooler so cost me nothing.
  17. Very interesting Giant and lots of development and sounds like more in it and yes roll cage will stiffen her up. Are you sure 300wkw by 3500rpm that can't be right? Maybe thecallibration on dyno with speed and rpm was out? On the vid it certainly sounds like on the money and not laggy although revs are upmost fo the time and that dog box does the trick. You should get our extrude honed exhaust manifolds if can still get as the guy with the jig and machine has leased it out to a motorbike company that does race bikes. Also 25 row oil cooler cope OK I had one but went up to 30row. But then your radiator is huge thick compared to mine. Here is my dyno reading way back on C16 different motor I might add but similar. You showed us yours I will show you mine. Lots of R & D but my car is cheap parts wise in comparison. Standard gear box and just our UAS 6 button single plate clutch. One piece Chrome Molly tail shaft. No front diff but Kazz 20 plate custom 1.5 way diff with 300ZX non turbo cradle modified to fit R200 R32 GTR diff housing and now 41 stock R32 GTR crown and pinion, had GTS-4 but too low ratio especially for Phillip Island. We also have a custom diff expansion tank and breather. Current motor has stock block and crank also, and blocks in zeds are never a problem and why they make good boat moorings as heavy. Stock oil pump never a prob on zeds and no after market other than dry sump which I will be doing next motor. We do run an Acusump though and custom baffle in top of oil pump well for insurance. ACL pistons and cheap Scat rods, Ferrier oversized valves, UAS valve springs, extrude honed exhaust manifolds, regrind cams cost me a mere $350, GTRS turbo's, Power FC, Shell 100 octane pump gas with octane booster, although might get out the M110 fuel which will give it another 40rwkw or more. Factory coils and ignition system. Tein flex Aussie spec, full adjustable rod end control arms. Twin three custom exhaust into single 4 inch single rear muffler. Big aero though obviously with BIG rear wing and front Kenards and rear under tray and front splitter and undertray being planned very soon. Custom fuel tank with in built surge tank with custom expansion tank. UAS racing hamonic balancer which is made by Ross Balancers and Greddy GTR alloy oversized engine pulleys. See here for more. Giant the mroe Ithink about itthe more I realise and I have to say a big well done. Beat me at my home track. Yes Eastern Creek would be good, zed stretch it slegs and give that boost button a big go and my car is bound to be faster as set up so well now. But then hey yours is too. Re speed down the straight I don't know and many often ask. I don't have a speed sensor in gearbox, as a customer needed one a while back and I figured I needed to help him out and could use the extra coin, and never bothered to replace it. Is your gearbox different gears and is it a 5 or 6 speed??? Rev limit is 8,000rpm for circuit and must be close to in in forth. I have R200 GTR diff in the zed same as your car but gear box must be different gears?
  19. blacksx yes lots more in yourcar andalloy block and good areo S15's have plnty of potential and under estimated. Happy to help come visit or call me and corner weigh will help as well as camber, caster and toe changes will help a lot I suspect. Giant I just watched the vid and looks awesome and I noticed you are in lower gears than me in a few places same as Bozo so looks like I need to rev the love boat more. Do you have a better quality copy for our site and I will make sure this one makes it on the site??? Also I noticed down the straight you go to fourth way earlier than me and even change to fifth. Is your PPG box different gearing to factory or maybe more power or both? The next circuit Battle is on Thursday 24th May at Wakey.

  21. I think I will keep an eye on your timing equip next time giat to make sure it is not getting a help re times he he. Maybe some one is moving the timing equip as you go past. Are you sure you did a 1 min 4.1? That is messing with me now, you should not have done that as I can't sleep properly since. Hey Richard (200) yes well as you know my car has a lot of GTR parts in it. Maybe I need to throw some more at it. Don't under estimate the Slot Car though I have plans for a few tweeks in power and suspension and simple mods to sort out under steer and a few other things we are doing. Maybe I should get a front diff???

  23. These straight line events with bumper bars are on all the time, SAU Dyno Day is once a year. Hard to organise these things and maybe in future should do a survey of what events are on or something? Wondering why it took so long for someone to say HELLO Straight Line Event is on same day. Dirt Garage Dyno highest dyno reading what car and with or with out NOS? R33 GTR Top Secret Car will be here and has had more mods and should make by far the highest and make ....rwkw.
