I was telling GIANT ( forum name) who is in Brissy and very nice and very fast R32 GTR about this and would be up for it to. Could be a real big one. I am sure we can get magazines out to it also.

Put me down as a defintate although I will be here waiting for you guys and will do the Eastern Creek event. Will have other zed bait for you guys to play with and no doubt some of the other GTR's in town and probably GTR JASON who thumps along with his R32 GTR.

Impressive time it appears working it out and comparing to V8 Supercars only 5 seconds slower. Also again very impressive line up of cars unlike Sydney. Yes I like the Zed pics for others to see. Can't wait to play with your guys in the Sydney sand pits.

Roy is an infiltrator from Sydney. No anomosity, rivalry maybe. Re SAm's GTR doing a 1 min 15 if this is right from what I can see from searching Antsoft this is very impressive. Have you guys had trouble with timing down theer as the Super Sprints up here ar usually timed with a beam or marker and humans and often worng. We had one of our zed track guys timed 4 seconds a lap faster than what he actually did. This was obvious though as way faster than his average for the day. See this VK Commodore in link directly below they had him doing a 46.17 yet his second fastest was ahigh 48 second. He never did less than 48 sec ever I don't think. I mentioned this to them but they did not change, to late and too messy I guess and not sheep stations they say. I am in it for sheep stations though. oran Park Best Times See individual times. Individual Oran Park Times Some relatively fast cars at Wakefield including some GTR's. Wakefield John Boston a driving instructor did a 1 min 7.7 in my zed back in 2003 when it had a stock motor and turbo's, no aero, front brakes ony and lot's heavier. I was doing 1 min 9's. I wonder what he would do in it now.

Yep cheater car now in someway as lightened and aero etc but funny thing was it was called a cheater car up here anyway for years now even when it really wasn't. We have had a lot of development and testing on this car and have sold four motors out of it each time using the funds to try different pistons and turbo's etc It is actually quite cheep realy. It has as stock gear box, single plate 6 button clutch that cost me a bit over $400 dollars compared to GTR's thousands of dollars worth of exotic twin plates. Turbo's cost me a bit over a thousand dollars each, reground cams cost me less than $400, factory exhaust manifolds extrude honed, modified Apexi Power FC, R32 GTR diff modified, still runs factory dash and trim, until recently had factory conrods linseed and shot peened until we bent them on dyno at 427rwkw on a recent SAU dyno day, now have Scat rods which are also cheap retail at $895. So no big money at all. Suspension currently second hand HKS saving up for Super Racing Tein coil overs. The car cost me $6000 to start with but very rough old girl. Go Roy should get them to disconnect the front drive shaft and race, GTR's are no where in rear wheel drive only. Found these times on Natsoft. Track Times Info on Slot Car

Exactly and not beer talk if going to the track and doing as seems like most here do unlike some of the NSW crowd as some just beer talk. Some are in the bleaches with all the answers and never go out. By the way I must be thinking of different GT3's as more GT3 Cup cars which I know is not a proper comparison but one of our customers Jonathon Webb races a GT3 , who also helps us at our track days a lot, and road car is a nice S15, anyway he came third in Carerra Cup last year and in his new GT3 in qualifying at Wakefield a few months back did a 59.5 at Wakefield as in less than a minute and yes on slicks, and new ones. This is the new sequential gear box one. I would like to see any GTR do that? Before you get excited a Zed either.

Yep heard it all before and it was fast with all the gear in it. 75db sure?? GT3 must be ordinary driver and or set up. Ben at Racepace is the man though.

Yeah go Roy and good to see you are still having a go or sounds like getting ready to again. Will stick with the Zed its has got potential and if everyone had a zed I might get a GTR. I think GTR's are a great track car and awesome road car. Re the tyres maybe, mabye not and not advantage in the wet at least. Re the Hoosier semi slicks may or may not be better than the other semi slicks at twice the price Dunlop or Bridgestone which is the main reason I use them as they are cheap. The guys up here are always looking for a reason why the zed goes so well and I have given up explaining why they are under estimated. Check out the latest Zoom mag for a story on it and explanation about the physics and facts of the matter. I may well go faster with other semi slicks. I have been using old and quite worn, but free slicks in Sydney for years and the guys ap here are always saying yes but John you have slicks. I have said many times yes but old, hard and worn and if I had new semi slicks I reckon I would be faster. So I finally bought some and go out and guess what?? .37 sec faster at Oran South than best ever on slicks and many goes at that with slicks. My zed does have a lot of GTR part in it though. Oran South did a 47.99 compared to 48.36 best ever. At one point there I said OK guys I give up I am top driver and my workshop are unreal, but set up and driving has a lot to do with it, however the car is under estimated and not such a suprise for those in the know. I might add not many serious GTR's up here compared to you guys. Although a well set up S15 could well beat zeds and GTRs. I won't mention GT3's.

Yep will be great to have you guys up to the Circuit Battle and no not many tough GTR's or anything else up here for that matter. I have a new mech started here at UAS who has done some improvements to the Slot Car. He worked for East Coast Suspension up here in Sydney who are a very good race Suspension workshop, and his last job was 2 years for a V8 Super car team. He has also pit crewed for lots of Konica cup and Porsche race teams etc Anyway he has sorted out my slot car. We now have digital corner weigh scales and found my car was way out and adjusted now and sorted also as I suspected has massive bump steer problems and now sorted. Went out to Eastern Creek last Friday with some of the Zed clan and SAU boys although it was wet and oil on the track so no good. But you guys had better have your s.... together or an old bloke in a boat my beat you.

You guys get some awesome roll up of tough cars down in Melbourne town for some reason way more than Sydney or anywhere else in Australia.

Will also be throwing the slot car as a demo and will wind up the boost and see if can make more than 456 rwkw.

Are you still 4 stud as I have heeps of rotors that you would call near new you can have although 5 stud, and grab some pads out of the second hand half worn bin or dig into your wallet and through me some bucks for some new ones cheap. Not same with out the wild one there.
