  2. Gee I send you some pics and you go and change them and.... Classic pics though.
  3. Clear pics and prices on our site and can do discount for SAU members depends on which ones but at least 10% off. www.NISMO.com.au
  4. By popular demand we have an assistant coming for the day, although she may not know a whole bunch about the Skylines, she will be willing to sit and listen about yours. Check it out. http://www.bombshells.com.au/index2.html
  5. No not just looks, that is the bonus. They help avoid some of the air going over the radiator, as air will go over or through its easiest path. Cusco claim up to 20 % more air through the radiator with one on. This would vary from car to car. Come summer air con and radiator will work a bit better and better for Mr Race Track should you go to them. Race cars go to great length and detail to block ALL air from escaping past radiator and make as smooth as possible also.
  6. We have lots and bring your mums, girlfreinds and all your credit cards and you might come home with your first GTR or a spare if have one. Trust me items will be very good price especially slower moving items, as I hate counting stock, and a yearly present for our customers. Lots of our suppliers will be there to give advice and have hand outs and specials also. Might do a super special on those special calibrated Skyline Stop watches that give all zeds handicap times to make it more even. He He. BBQ thing is not happening though but don't pannick the lunchshop is staying open next to us for super UAS lunch deals. Also show UAS receipt for free V or other drink. Yes Carlo one per customer, we don't want to be responsible for V drink related car accidents on the way home.
  7. Not sue who received the one upside down? My guys have gone home to check re this but to start with I thought, What The?? How could this be, is the SAU fan who received it upside down working on his car? How could it be around the wrong way or folded wrong way around? It was sent back and sure enough we found this one and another one out of about 30 made that somehow were around the wrong way. I have not spoken to our manufacturer yet but no doubt the softy who made it must have had a beer or three in his lunch break hey? I am sure it is part of the conspiracy to send me mad earlier than naturally. Blitz you leave that last comment alone. We did put a Nismo key ring in for the also confused SAU fan who was the victim here with the correct air guide for the inconvenience.
  8. What' this 2 min 16 Eastern Creek I wreckon I could get this van doing that with the weigth saving or my zed on 4 cylinders. He He. Talej gear knb is yours if you can get it off.
  9. It was actually Shane that works for us who did the handy work and practice for weight saving for our zed boat. Might just unbolt the rear tailgate but no flames.
  10. He told me it would go to a good home. I guess if they graffiti houses out where he lives what do you expect. He actually wanted it for the motor only as had a 2 litre and box in good nick. We actually wanted to blow it up but thought I might end being visited by my wife and kids in gaol in light of current climate, so he went to plan B obviously. Before we got to it. I like the flames on the door though and the F1 style mod to steering wheel.
  11. I recently sold my van we used for deliveries and to carry gear to the track to a booner in western Sydney and look what he did.
  12. I have measured before and am sure they are 600mm x 270mm x 65mm 320hp no probs, although easy to get bigger and flowing core, so cooler inlet temps and safer and more power. Teh GTR factory cooler work well and is the biggest intercooler for any road car.
  13. I have been interviewing heaps and some are talkers unfortunatley. Some with lots of papers and qualifications but end up not being suitable. I have other mechs that are more layed back with little to no references and end up being stars. I am sure there are some people who are better mechs because thay are enthusiasts and INTERESTED than qualified mechs that don't care or lack talent. Confidence is a good thing but Bull shyting about what they can do and have done bla bla. V8skylineman I have sent you a PM as you sound dangerous in a good way and possibilities, can't you buy a mechanics licence, and I think it is a bit far to come to work each day? Benm and others out there you must know of good mechs?
  14. Thought there might be a keen talented mechanic surfing this forum, or someone here might know a mechanic suitable. Must be honest, talented and organised and not talk too much. Prefer non smoker and hard worker who reads Zoom magazines. NO you don't have to work on 300ZX's too much, we specialise in Nissans and do heaps of GTR's and GTS-T's. You can play Skylines all day 5 or 6 days a week. Get to Play Grand Turismo for real. We do minor service to full engine rebuilds with lots of mods etc. See our site for more info. Pay is better than currently on. Guaranteed to learn lots and have a rewarding challenging job. Experience with turbo's and performance cars preferred but not essential. Minimum 4th year apprentice but prefer fully qualified. :thankyou: Email [email protected] or call 02 9634 8000
  15. Also for GTS-T. They cost same as factory water pump, so why not. http://www.uniqueautosports.com/pricelists...ine%20parts.htm
  16. Less than I thought. Geoff must have air freighted his or paid too much. Yes they are very nice and worth the dollars if you want the full monty. Air freight would be a killer due to size but see freight not so bad.
  17. Benm they could be made full length like Geoff on SLO-32R in carbon fibre, nice but very expensive, Geoff bought in Japn and I think it was $500 or more. In alloy they could be made but would cost a lot more.
  18. Go to our site and go to freight section and also orders section. CC is fine as long as it is not your girlfriends. http://gtr.com.au/order_form.htm Yes they fit series II although fit Series I better. Jimbo yours is fitted now.
  19. They don't need to be strong as no load on them. We had thicker ones but not as easy to fit and no need for thicker. Re R34 we don't have YET. If someone wants to come to our shop with one to be a test car we could trial fit and see. We have air guides for R33 GTR which is a little different and not part of this group buy sorry. Cusco make air guides for lots of cars and on their site they quote up to 20% more air flow through the radiator by blocking easier path for air to go rather than through the radiator core. It also looks good and gives a place to put stickers if you want.
  20. Special offer from UAS Polished radiator air guides for R33 GTS-T. Normally $75.00 Group buy price $40.00 Offer available until June 30th or while stocks last. Image below shows the air guide fitted to a series 1 GTS-T Call us on (02) 9634 8000 or send us a fax (02) 9634 8888 to order.
  21. Yep nice Nick. Did yo think of all this yourself? I am amazed you did not think to give it a broken oar. Just line up your GTR's next track day and we will see how the boat goes. Zeds can have issues thow as most are older than Skylines and more k's. They are a good thing when you get a good one but many are worn out.
  22. Thanks Merli for those very clear pics on that mega camera of yours. I think I need some of that Just For Men hair colour stuff. All I will say ROY lucky the zed stopped or it would have been in there. Also Roy check the times of a burgundy GTS-T 1 min 12 and it looked relatively tame, very impressive.
  23. OK OK Zed went great for 8 laps flat out and did a 108.9 and at high revs snapped a stud that holds an idler pulley on the passengers ( load side of the motor ) and kissed valves and day over. We will now be drilling and tapping and using a high tensile 12mm stud to prevent this happening in the future. I did miss a gear and revved it off the clock as grabbed second instead of fourth. I :Bang: suspect it would have been very close to the Gibson powered GTR who was timed at a second or so better, if motor was still going later in the day. BLA BLA I here, anyway I congratulated Geoff from SSS Automotive who had a tough sounding GTR my zed does sound crap now with the larger exhaust housings, so will change to dual exhuast and quieten it also. I have told him I will give him a case of beer. Did Merli or anyone get a pic of all the Skyline Guys pushing the zed on the trailer would have been a classic. Times will be up on our site next day or so. Next Track Day is Sunday September 12 at Oran. ZED will be BACK. :Bang:
  24. I am not 40 yet but getting there real soon. Does this make me old? or is it an attitude more than a condition? Healthy to and for's here. More V's make old guy young like me?? Comparing my car to a frame with 4 wheels and an engine? Anyway just to change the subject or encourage it more. My zed was tuned on our dyno last night. 345kw at the wheels. Best bit is at only 3400 rpm makes 225 kw at the wheels. Compare that to dyno readings out there. Still very safe tune only 20 degrees advance and 21psi, and have not adjusted cam timing yet. Still more to come. PS John has been racing since 1984, nothing serious just club events Supersprints etc. This track day is going to be a biggy. Auto Salaon and other mags and photographers coming. Lots of tough cars and many and varied imports, Soarers, FTO, 300zx, 180SX, 200SX, GTS-T, MR2 and YES a bunch of GTR's , etc.
  25. So the excuses are coming back now. Last year everyone thought we had big stuff done but was not really and still wasn't stripped out then. I showed Christian my competition yesterday in Gary's R32 GTR, which is also stripped out and has more mods than my car. Has a Stack dash in it and bigger mods such as bigger turbo's, cams, sequential gear box, proper full cage etc. So not exactly apples for apples. My car has better aerodynamics with after market wings and things and an alloy tank but that is it. I have a second blade with gerni strip being made as well as carbon fibre front winglets for more down force. Duncan, standard a 4 seater Zed which mine is weighs more than that, factory, according to my USA sales brochures I have say manual 3474 pounds, auto is more. I think this works out to be 1579kg? They have more sound deadening than the Skylines, heavier drive train by miles and more electronics, heavy electric seats, glass roof etc. They are low fat things, with potential though. R32 GTR are the lightest as you prob know. Duncan they say when you take weight out of the car in proportion the straights get shorter, the brakes grow in size and the corners are faster. Re GTR bits, yes they keep coming up as options and bless Nissan as they make it easy being able to fit parts from one car to the other, such as the cam buckets I am using. Very few parts are made for zeds yet many parts Nismo and others make parts that we are finding which are not listed but actually fit straight on. We are finding lots of parts fro GTS-T same. Yes Merli it is still a Zed. Imagine if I called it a GTR, that would be sacrilege and I would be banned from SAU.
