  1. I was driving and yes car has lots of mods but not as much as the GTR's it was running against as most had lots more. Yes it had slicks although they were very worn out, mainly the rear ones. With new slicks it should be a second faster. The time that Bruce Jones did was actually Warren Luff who if he drove my car would also be in the 47 sec. My car runs Autronic with CDI, and all the other GTR's running did also, at least the ones under 50 sec at our days have Autronic, Apexi or other computers, and all had big brakes and suspension etc. It does have a R32 GTR Nismo diff and 6 piston brakes and good suspension set up, although much more to be done. I have no rear seat and took out passenger seat but this is not a biggy and no air con. Still has lots of weight to get out of it but then don't want excuses to start. Yes I have been racing for many years and to compare apples with apples needs same driver to compare cars. The other GTR times are also good drivers. I did have a V in the morning for only the second time donated by the tow truck driver maybe that was it but I promise none went in the fuel tank. I know it is hard to believe, but no secrets and if you really want to know moded zed TT s are equal to or actually better circuit cars than GTR's. GTR is better road car for sharp corners and take offs and short burst of speed on often uneven surfaces where traction kicks in. Zeds are 70mm wider wheel track than R33 GTR and 50mm wider than 32's, much better weight distribution and aerodynamics, lower centre of gravity, less lag and more grunt as 3 litre quad cam. Although a standard zed will be beaten in every way by a standard GTR, drag or circuit. But a modded zed against a modded GTR and it is interesting. If anyone wants to beat this time in any GTR then go for it. I will take my hat of to you. Might add my zeds times will be dropping soon. Wakefield is next and should do 1 min 5s. Fastest GTR time there that I know of is Warran Luff driving Gibson Motorsport powered GTR 1 min 6.1. Although this track is more of a 4wd tight & twisty but we will see. http://gtr.com.au/images/jpeczed1.jpg[/img]
  2. Last Sat at Oran Park my zed tt broke the lap time record for the south circuit of any GTR that has been to our many track days or that I am aware of as did a 48.36. The best time that has been put down over the many track days we have run there and by many serious GTR's was Gary Burchet in his big single turbo 300kw at wheels R32 with Hollinger Sequential box which did a 48.73. It may be only a boat with standard turbo's and as per popular opinion should not be able to do this but it did and does. So balls in your court guys to get a GTS-T or GTR to beat this time. So Merli or other have your go. Just to let you know I am very confident the car is good for a 47 sec with a few small changes and a rear wing addition. Anyone know of better times that GTR's have done properly timed at Oran? PS It does have a Nismo R32 GTR diff and GTR water pump pulley.
  3. I might go, where do I get details and apply? Timing? I went out to a super sprint on Sat just gone, run by North Shore Sporting Car Club. Did a 48.36 only a zed with standard turbo's but she goes. Sorry if I am gloating.
  4. I am taking my R32 GTR Nismo diff, GTR water pump pulley with the Zed body out this Sat to Oran Park. As most know costs have gone up due to insurance etc, anyway they urgently need a few more to cover costs and run the event. It is the south circuit with time keepers etc. It is a supersprint. You will need to join a club and also have cams licence or join on day but need to register and pay ASAP. If interested contact me direct. Come try your GTR or GTS-T or anything else against the fat slot car zed. After all it is only a heavy slow zed and lots of other cars to time compete with.
  5. Yes there is always three sides to any story and won't be first or last. The truth or whole story is Emanual bought this computer from Advan and wanted us to fit it as we have done all the work on his car. Yes my techs are capable and my guys have worked out many complex computers and Japanese wiring diagrams and sorted in past etc. The situation with this one turned out to be the wrong unit. It was supposed to be a full kit to suit R34 GT-T yet was after spending lots fo time on it we found he was supplied the wrong computer and plug for an auto GT-T. Yes we are not experts on E manange and not our recommendation as it is a fairly basic system, the main reason for buying it was it was suitable for Tipronic. Yes we called Peter at Advan where he bought it from, we did not supply and he suggested we get it interpreted by Harry at Hi Octane racing which we tried to do but he was not contactable so we got hold of a interpreter through the phone book which Emanual helped us locate and agreed to pay the $50 it cost us to have the manual tanslated as this was not in the kit as all Japanese. Also not mentioned was the price included fitting of the latest Profec E. Peter at Advan does not tune them but rather Dave at SAS around the corner who would have had same probs as us. It was brought here to fit and tune and fit boost controller, which plumbing through fire wall and joining solenoid and condfiguring to match up with E Manage and mount screen etc is not five minutes. Bottom line is Emanual was fine when he paid for our work and picked up the car and no mention of any concerns. He was here most of the day and knew we did our best and spent collectively with three of my staf quite a lot of time. If we supplied then no we could not charge and no we did not charge the hours actually spent as it was much more, and as mentioned we did fit boost controller and pay for translation. This is not even your car so why? Tell the whole story next time or at least get the facts. Freedom of speech is good but twisting the facts or not telling the whole story looks bad and I don't blame others for getting angry without knowing the whole situation. Shame one doesn't have to be connected to a bull shyt detector to post on forums.
  6. The fat zed nudged 1 min 48 with passenger. Proper carbon wing being made for it then a couple more seconds off that. Merli come cheat and do your best. Still running stock second hand turbos, the smaller automatic but have a pair of manual exhaust housings which are a bit bigger and extra 20hp but will be extrusion honing along with the comp cover and HPC for a bit more. Lag is not good for ciruit racing.
  7. Yes that thing's a little narrow missile, fun to drive behind and watch it twitch around the place. Hopefully more cars and less bikes next time. Need some faster Skylines, maybe Andrew Ho?
  8. Had a great time with those that made it. Lots of runs as not a lot of cars. Wish there some faster Skylines though, He he. Maybe next time. Paul 0Z97 GTRv might get his suspension sorted by the next one as it was like following a lawn mower as he was checking out the grass a lot on sides of the track.

    Tein Spanners

YOu can buy after market C Spanners adjustable type from good tool shops such as Tool Works at Castle Hill 02 9894 6546 or Wholesale Suspension in Penrith from about $40 each and fit all coil overs. On the topic of Tein though and prob a lot of other Jap made coil overs they are often too hard for Australian road and race tracks and for that matter even the smoother Japanese tracks. The Japs don't always get it right. I have the Tein HA adjsutable shock and height Teins and found the rear of my Zed TT to be quite hard even on the softer settings, It over steered a lot and did not brake as well as should as well as got unsettlesd over bumps such as turn three down the hill at Eastern Creek. I took out one fo the front and one rear and sent of to Eibach, who only make the best springs in the world probably. Anyway they dyno tested the shocks and found them to be quite hard even on the softer setting especially the rear. The springs in rear were also too hard. Factory around 250 pounds and the Tein were 570 pounds. They changed to a twin spring, the heavier being a 440 pound spring with a Tender spring of prob 150 pounds. Bottom line 3 secs a lap faster and did a 148 with a passenger ( Akira) who also has hard Teins in his car. Much nicer for road cars also. Guess what Skyline Teins have even heavierr springs, both GTR and GTS-T yet the cars are lighter so guess what, "Good is the Enemy of Better" If you have coil overs and think your skyline handles well it can be much better and if a zed passes you at the track then consider. he he.
  10. A. If the NSW Police have an R34 GTR now or ever you can have my house for free. Will through in the wife and kids. B. There are entrapment laws in NSW and other states but not for driving only Crimes Act, for drugs usually. Police have used hotted up cars and no doubt raced then booked members of the public way back with Toranas to current but ususally have powerfull car rather to catch rather than temp. They are bastards keeping us all from killing ourselves speeding etc, but yes they could spend much more time catching real badies rather than worrying about a BOV or other petty item and catch the guy who stole a car from us last year.
  11. Weather was perfect. Awesome GTR's even though not heaps. Joe from SSS Auto 3 litre bottom end BIG to mount turbo's 450kw at wheels. Geoff also from SSS Automotive Gibson powered R32 GTR, R33 Growls monster, GTR8U R32 GTR which we just sold with big single turbo etc 300kw at wheels with sequential box fastest GTR of the day 48.7 Porsche was faster but Warren Luff was driving we later realised. Street Machines came down from Brissy with their RB26 with twin Apexi turbo's and 360 kw at wheels, big brakes etc A zed just beat it though. 12. Still good for one track day at least. Not rated in ks but laps if anything. Once warmed up slicks are nice and sticky and not as frustrating not being able to turn in or accelerate as much as you would like on corners. By the way for those participating and having lunch we have a couple of cases of the mighty V as well as other drinks. Yes we know the Skyline guys live on the stuff. But lets not make it a V topic just letting you know DON'T pannick it will be there. Maybe my zed might go faster if I threw some down my throat.
  13. Benm we have 17 and 18 inch used slicks going cheap if helps. P platers yes if half responsible if this is posssible? Just spoke with Geoff from SSS who is bringing his Gibson Motorsports powered R32 GTR which will be a long overdue and hotly contested shoot out with our zed. Will be interesting.
  14. Free freight Australia wide and piping is alloy and 2 .5 inch, yes can get alloy pipes HPC coated in engine bay but have to get a price but expect about $100 or more extra.Brakets top and bottom of cooler for direct fit. If fitting yourself it does requir reo to be trimmed back a fair bit and front bar also depend on which type. Group price for kit remains until end of the July. Hop on or miss out.
  15. I will be there with a few more mods and tricks to zed. Looking forward to having a good go with Merli, OZ97 and other GTR's I know tha are going not on this forum. Will be good test for new set up with suspension and other prior to our next UAS track day. Happy to take any of you guys for a spin that did not get a chance last time out.
  16. Not sure what happened to the pic of me putting V down my throttle body, seemed to have been lost in the action but it did happen. I can now see how this stuff with some decent loud music and the fast cars you drive can make for an interesting combo. PS The foru cases of V ran out before end of the day but heaps of Coke and Susages and other left. It was a pumping fun day all round.
  17. 90mm size tanks core and top and bottom plate and brakets to suit R33 so no pipes or hoses $1050.
  18. broken not from here Registered: Jun 2002 Location: NSW South Coast Car: R32 GTS-t " i'll take one to fit a r32. how long to they take to make 'em? " Only a week or so once we get to 5 ordered which should be fairly quick.
  19. OK I just checked and noticed that the reply post I thought I put up to simplify and clarify price somehow got lost in internet black hole. So here it is and to keep it simple. 5 or more will do $1300 supply only and extra $100 for those who want the 25m thicker although I think overkill, depending on how serious the engine and tubo is. Plus fitting which if thicker a bit more cutting or trimming but will do same price if we are fitting. Those interstate we will also do free packing freight and insurance. PS At the track day at Eastern Creek on Monday long weekend just gone I noticed a lot of the GTS-T's still have those small heat exchange little aftercoolers and NEED to get FMIC. Or appologise to your motor next time out and whatch those fast zeds go past again. He He. Carlo reading this??
  20. I must appologise to the Skyline gang if I intimidated you on the track, letting you pass then pushing you and passing etc. Not much fun going around and around by oneself. I was mostly playing with paul Mad GTR and had a ball. You guys kept getting in the way of me zed though, he he. Also I was going to the Pub with you guys afterwards and was on the way until the local Gistapo caught up with me at the Shell servo who obviously missed the Skyline convoy leaving the track. They wanted to know why my exhaust was sticking out the side of the car type thing. I kept them occupied for a while unfortunately, but kept them off you guys for a change.
  21. Just to let you know another option we have a 3 inch 7 litre high flow cat with cat temp sensor and flanges which you could fit yourself or any workshop as jigged for GTS-Ts. $350 and neat easy and nice and prob work out cheaper overall esp with SAU discount off that. We can either send to you or pick up if you want.
  22. Yes option on thicker core which I would need to confirm as at home now but 25 mm thicker so end up tanks are 90m thick extra $100 at most. Not all bars and reinforcements will need triming to fit other than GTR or 400R Bars then only small if any. If fitting yourself you will need a 3 inch holesaw to cut through the inner skirt and a grinder or better still wafer cutter and air hacksaw. When I first mentioned it to Blitz and others it all happened very fast and super busy at UAS and was asked what about the price son etc. I came up with the price knowing I could l do this as just over cost. I was trying to liase with Mick who does nice work but not the best with comunication and other. I have confirmed if getting volume then can do better so if get 5 kits can do for $100 off again and if 10 a further $60. It would have been not good to shoot too low then UAS not be happy about it or worst still losing money but rather make better which was going to do a suprise but in light of the I can get this and that for $ thought to introduce now. Also must compare apples with apples these are quality made polished, alloy pipes not to be compared with stainless or worse still mild steel. Alloy is better as lighter, dissapates the heat better and looks good. Also the shiny quality silicone hoses used. We have also improved and refined the jig to include better braket and only one peice in engine bay etc. Also re fittment if done by my mechs it is quality work, optional black powder coated mesh similar design to GTR's and carefully marked and cut and linished smooth, with lining where it comes through the inner skirt etc. Not just shoe horned in as we have seen elsewhere and things loaded up and rubbing etc. Note my enthusiast mechs are both thorough and neat and tidy and also have fitted many of them so they know where to cut etc. Yes can do cooler only depends on thickness at a special price.
  23. I will be there with Unique Zed with new R32 GTR diff 4.3 ratio which should be interesting as first time out with lots of changes. I think may run out of legs down the straight going from 3.7 diff ratio to 4.375. Will be good for Wakefield and Oran though. Weather looks like will be perfect and public holiday should be a big one. Does the BBQ accept Green prawns and maybe some egg plant or only snags for the V and Coke drinkers?
  24. Hey Carolo I thought you might have been a closet V drinker, you have that intensity in motion look about you, and change gears at the track with pizzazz. Re the bonnets silver? They are carbon and dark type carbon weave. Re Cafene they say it stays in the system for days. They also say if the turbin head radicals wanted to wipe out 90% of Australians within 24hours they would lace Coke ( black acid) and V drinks. I would survive easily, unless they put subliminal messages on Fleetwood Mack CD's Suggesting killing yourself. Oh maybe they did not think of this. Save yourself stop putting V's down your throttle body as now they may do it. Sorry.
  25. Hey Carlo glad to see you use your real name even though it is a snazzy name at that. Not common like John. After playing Grand Turismo for real six days a week plus, I drink lots of filtered water actually and small red wine, also lots of soya milk, (yes I can immagine the young and the wrestless saying YUK). I also cuddle my kids work out in my mega home gym, play squash like a maniach or run around the block all in aid of slowing the mind down as super hectic during the day. If you really want to know I evenhave camomile tea to relax. As most small biz owners would know there is nearly always paperwork to do as well. I do love the action and excitement though.
