    N1 Block

Hi guys, I am after a N1 block (actually, if you have a couple ill take them all off you). Needs to be brand new and no ridiculous prices (e.g. asking $6000 for it). If you have one, or know where to get one if you can send me a PM that would be great.
  2. I said purdy cars not skylines
  3. 30 people... damn Try get outside seating too, we can take up the whole area basically and look at the purdy cars and its nice weather this time of year.
  4. Congrats, thats a pretty good effort for first time out with your car
  5. Its a good 100kg or so heavier... and alot of that weight is at the wrong end of the car The GTR is a big car. Get it on a fast flowing track and it will show what it was made for. Get it on a low speed tight track and the results arent that great.
  6. Going through this now and im 99% set on a PPG box. 5 speed dog box with 1000hp mainshaft and they give you the option of the standard input shaft or upgraded hollinger style for the same price. Around $9000 but will hold the power. Only downside is the noise they make.
  7. Leigh = average driver? Dont blow your on whistle leigh, we all know you think youre god GTR isnt really suited to Wakefield, it loses alot of its competitive edge due to the layout of the circuit. Its a short (low speed) circuit so the lower weight of the gtst gives it an advantage. But if you want a car that goes really quick around Wakefield, buy an Evo.
  8. Looking at purchasing a new daily run-around off J-Spec (Aristo in sexy whiteness) and good to see p[ositive comments about them. How long does it take approximately for the car to land and be complied assuming I pay for it tomorrow? (Its "in stock") Hoping I would have it before Xmas but understand this might be pushing it.
  9. 2/3rd December is Autosalon, and the next weekend is my birthday celebrations so im out both of those. Nothing wrong with the end of November, its only 30 days Andrew sheesh
  10. Is the car being complianced or is it a 15 year old import? If its being complianced, just take those papers with you and you should be sweet. If its a 15 year old import, it needs some specific work done (fuel neck, child restraints etc) done and an engineer to sign off on the work. You then need to take the engineering certificate with you to Dickson.
  11. Couldnt hack it so you quit... QUITTER!!!!!!! (jokes) Congratulations... I really need to do the same pretty soon.
  12. Being that it will probably be paid for by the other parties insurance companies, they will be using genuine brand new parts (hence the cost). Be prepared to wait for a bit as well, as alot of it wont be stocked in Australia and will need to come from Japan.
  13. Ill probably be there, wont have my car again though Maybe ill bring the new crank so I can take it back to her and she doesnt feel left out.
  14. Had a GT block offered to me a few weeks back for $6000. While I ummed and aahed about it overnight, it had been sold the next day for $8000... doh! And despite what their website says, Just Jap do not have N1 blocks in stock only complete engines.
  15. Sorry to hear that buddy, was relying on third party information from people at work hence the R32 comment. Good to hear you are ok and hope its fixable (and the other people have insurance).
  16. Can I bring a friend?
  17. Its not a voltage problem for many reasons... 1) If voltage was dropping the fuel pump would slow down so it would be leaning out at 5000rpm not richening up 2) If voltage was dropping and causing your ignition system problem, it would be misfiring and you would definately feel/hear this The trial ECU means its been modified to certain paramters (probably to suit the stock setup) that would be useless for how your car is now setup. 99% of the time these Japanese modified ecu's use an epoxied eeprom meaning you cant retune it (its possibly even why it needed an engine rebuild as the Japanese are renowned for cranking up the ignition timing which doesnt work to well with our fuel). Get a Power FC and I will bet money on it that with a decent tune your problems will be solved. If you spent $12k on the engine, you really shouldnt be stinging on other areas, its dangerous.
  18. Why a fuel cut defender? If it was cutting fuel then it would be a aggresive misfire not just a loss of power. Come to think of it, I dont even think the GTR's have any form of fuel cut for "overboosting" anyway... certainly not at the boost levels you are talking about anyway. You have said loses power, not ignition cut/misfire so its not an ignition problem. The o2 sensor is only used on light throttle cruising, at WOT it isnt being used. My money is on the fact you have upgraded to turbos that can flow a substantial more amount of air than the factory ones, and the ECU isnt liking it one bit. You really should be running an aftermarket ECU for the modifications you have if you want it to last (or at least find someone that can remap the standard one) or else you will end up with a shit engine.
  19. Apparantly there was a pretty big accident involving a white R32 on Barton highway this morning. Hoping it wasnt anyone from here, and if it was hope you are ok!
  20. The compliance plate just means certain things on the car have been modified to meet ADR's, not that its roadworthy. To the letter of the law, new registrations or transfer of registrations on imports must go over Dickson... but it doesnt seem to be enforced that much. However, most people I know who didnt go over Dickson have gotten "random" re-inspection letters in the mail not long after.
  21. Im down, ill bring the mighty rav4 and anyone whos game can come for joyrides (read: rally bashing) down the sand !
  22. I think you need to retain a pnp ecu anyway for the attesa system to operate properly... or at least this was the case for the gtr's (including r34) with motec m800's in them I have seen, and this was the reason provided.
  23. Gone are the days of just myself, ewen, googs and shell hanging out in this section
  24. Id also reccomend Powatone. If you need a two to Sydney, look at the guy in my signature. Awesome service, awesome price and he is VERY careful with the cars.
