  1. Wahaha whoops :innocent: Well the car was going shite slow
  2. SAFC does nothing more than intercept values from the AFM, alter them, and lie to the stock ECU to get it to add/remove fuel in places it shouldnt be. If you just want to get rid of the fuel cut, HKS fuel cut defender... but why is it hitting fuel cut? I still say save the extra $$ and get PFC, its fully tunable (fuel mapping, ignition mapping, temp correction mapping, afm configuration etc) and you'll net more power from it as well as improve driveability throughout the whole rev range.
  3. Power FC will increase power as it lets you play with air/fuel ratios and ignition timing. Ive seen people net 40+kw from fitting an aftermarket ecu and getting a good tune. SAFC would cut it for air/fuel ratio, but still doesnt let you play with ignition timing etc.
  4. Its the wrong model handset. The power fc's came in different "distributions" (e.g. distro 1 and distro 2). A distro 2 commander wont work with a distro 1 power fc and vice versa. Id talk to nengun to see if you can swap it for the correct one.
  5. Disconnect the ignitor module so theres no spark going to the cylinders and crank the car for a few seconds so it builds up oil pressure. This should get oil through most of the engine.
  6. Well if anyones interested in going up for a day on the weekend some time soon, let me know. Ill be able to arrange car, just chuck in $10 for fuel or whatever and we should be good
  7. teh speed/asm/hot4s/ nevah liez~!
  8. No no, $166 is for the whole day on the bus, that includes lift ticket, board hire etc. If we went in car, youd need $87 for lift ticket, $50 or so for board hire and money for petrol/food/drinks.
  9. Power FC... theres an AP Engineering one for sale in the for sale section at the moment
  10. If youre keen on the one dayers, im sure I can organise the commonwhore to transport us down I have all own gear excluding board/skis, so yeah itd work out cheaper for me too.
  11. I always thought the "suspension tuned by Lotus" was a bit of wank factor and nothing more... until a friend took me for a ride in his (and let me drive it). These cars are damn impressive, and be up there with one of the best handling cars I have ever been in... and it came from the factory like that! Said friend is now putting a 4G63 in it, should be a weapon
  12. R32 GTR ... had been driving for a couple of years before hand though... thought to myself why waste money on a sh!tter when it can go towards my dream car... three years of savings later, and i had it Been driving it for almost 2 years now without a problem (besides the mandatory "im an rb26 and am going to rape your wallet, bank account and silver coin shrapnal bucket/container" problems).
  13. Ok so, a few people showed interest in going to the snow this year, so I thought id get details finalised. These are the packages im proposing after a few days of looking around, and I believe these are the best on offer. Now, if people can post up if they're keen or what not itd be great. Dates id be looking to fit it in somewhere between the 15th and 28th of August. If anyone ever wants to go down just for single day trips on Murrays, im more than keen to go as much as possible this year . Possible alternatives include, if only 3 - 4 people are interesting in going, I can load up the commodore and take that down and we arrange our own accomodation etc.
  14. Id get the possibility of water getting into your fuel looked at... water cannot be compressed, so get a decent enough amount in there and welcome to the wonderful world of compression lock (worst case scenario, totally bent bottom end). Has nothing to do with your original post, but sounds pretty dodgy
  15. As said, do a search but to my knowledge the PFC wont work in an auto skyline. The auto box needs feedback and ability to control the stock ecu to retard ignition timing on gear changes etc. Do a search and all shall be revealed
  16. Those compression results are far from great, id steer clear of anything with more than 10psi variance across cylinders. Get a leakdown test and see if it tells you whats breaking inside the engine. The burning oil on cylinder #3 isnt a good sign either. Cam cover gaskets are normal, most GTR's I see have a dribble of oil from the rear of the cam covers. All the other things just sound like normal wear and tear. As for the high hydrocarbons, we started my car with no cat on and Tomei 260 in/ex cams, and it sent the machine off the scale at idle. EPA might hate you for it though... Normal wear and tear doesnt sound too bad, they are old cars but engine wise id be putting money aside as I wouldnt be suprised if the engine let go some time soon.
  17. Damn straight GTR in AWD mode kicks sideways very easily, pop the fuse and youve got instant 2WD. But yeah I agree, there are a few drift GTR's but theyre more a circuit/touring oriented car, and I also agree leave the drift to the full time only got half a driving car RWD boys
  18. Im swinging past to see if anyones there, but not till 9:30 - 10ish
  19. Just to remind, there is undercover parts at the museum... if you park 100 metres or so towards the museum from where we currently do, theres some nice shelter out the front of the Aborginal arts building.
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=482
  21. get a compression + dry and wet leak down test done
  22. Smoking all the time, only on boost, only when coming off boost? Spend half a day pulling the turbo off, take it somewhere to get all the seals etc checked out. If it is stuffed, replace it, if it isnt chuck it back on and it shouldnt have cost you too much money.
  23. Yeah ill probably go out for a bit. Im waiting for the soft c**ks to start whinging "ohh its raining, my pretty little toushie might get wet"
  24. It was featured in one of the Australian magazines a while back but cant for the life of me remember which one. Ill have a flick through and see if I can find it over the weekend. Bee-R is springing to mind, but not sure.
  25. Just curious if theres any intention to be a putty road cruise again this year? Came along last year with Aurora and Shell and was awesome (until we hit a wombat and destroyed a brand new HKS FMIC on the way home... ) From memory it was around this time last year it was held.
