If it idles like crap and blows black smoke id say its a hose. If it idles ok then id say youve popped the turbo (does it blow any smoke out the rear when you should be coming onto boost?). When mine let go it didnt make any bad noises, just when I came on throttle again there was no power and white smoke belching out the back (oil burning).

Take the car to a radiator specialist and get everything checked. Also might be a broken headgasket.

With all the high profile car theft going on in ACT at the moment, just a heads up to people to note any suspicious activity around their car. Some people have been using tow trucks and just dragging cars onto them to never be seen again. Only reason I bring this up is because over the weekend I have spotted a red commodore (VN/VP) and also a wine red R33 GTST driving up my street slowing down right out the front of my house and people looking up into the garage and driving off. Making me a tad uneasy and concerned.

Nissan spare parts for a genuine one (theyre prices have actually gotten pretty good for stuff lately) or trace the gasket pattern onto a piece of paper and most exhaust shops should have it or should be able to make you one. Use it and a combo of gasket goo to make sure it doesnt leak.

The car is a 15 year old import, it has to go over dickson. And talked to Mark not long ago, it was failed as it needs engineering certificate to proove all the complaince items have been installed (as they arnt complianced like normal imports). Also needs steering rack boot or some crap.
