  1. Hope you got forged internals to support the setup HKS GT2835R's support 420ps each, are high mount and work pretty well from what I have heard. They are pricey though. Then theres the other options of T51/T88 etc... Id personally go the 2835's. They were on GTR-700 when it was street registered and it was damn quick.
  2. ill be there getting "festively happy"... i love this time of year when you can drink ridiculous amounts and blame it on festivities instead of being called a drunk
  3. You better make sure your wind screen wipers are permanently attatched for the next time I see your car
  4. BDO goes for one ****in day and youre booking a whole half month for that?
  5. Heard about this... not to be harsh but if the stories are true, thanks for putting my insurance premiums up
  6. Well with the success of this event, just thought id gather interest to see if some people maye be down for a cruise in January some time to the coast? Head down on a Saturday morning, have a nice relaxing time at the beach, have a bbq, excellent spots for photos etc. Then we could even extend it a bit further and those who want, we can find somewhere to stay the night, have some drinks, go out and show the local nightlife how we Canberra folk do it etc... Just an idea, im really keen to go to the coast and couldnt think of a better bunch of people to go with
  7. Does it come with any piping or just the cooler?
  8. spotted silver r34 gt-t parked a few houses down from mine in calwell
  9. The cost isnt such a big issue, but im going to replace the coils while I am at it, and I may as well see what other options are availible besides stock. Thanks for the info
  10. Ok, car has been missfiring on and off over the past month or so after we put Tomei poncams in. We initially thought it was a few things (afms etc) and then adjusted the timing and it went away. After a while the miss came back and today we replaced the ignitor pack with one from another GTR, and the car has been driving since without a problem whatsoever. I have been told replacement ignitor packs are around $650 brand new. Is there any other options I should look at thats worthwhile? One thing I was considering is going 3 Bosch ignitors (1 per 2 coils) and externally mounted Bosch coils, but have been advised the Bosch coils will not work with power fc? If anyone can shed any light on this, and what some other possible setups are that I may as well spend the extra cash on, it would be appreciated.
  11. Pretty much the same, we will be down at museum at 9 - 9:30pm probably as normal then you can usually find me and Aurora at the Mobil in Braddon (the one at the end, not middle).
  12. 98.75% sure that they're 600x300x75 (or thereabouts)
  13. pfft... x-mas partys are overrated (im just bitter because for ours (which is on tonite as well) we had to dress up as a super hero and i wasnt allowed to go as duff man... so as protest im now not going  )
  14. If its just the vinyl on top thats bubbled people have fixed it by getting glue and putting it in a very thin tipped syringe. You then poke the syringe through the vinyl (will leave a tiny weeny little hole u cant even see) and squeeze a bit of the glue in then press the vinyl down. This will re-glue it down, seems to have worked for a few people. Might try it myself, got a small bubble developing on the dash
  15. Anyone going to be out tonite? Beautiful day and Ive got nothing better to do...
  16. Slowly getting there, just as another wrap, Ed is doing an awesome job with the car. Its been a learning experience for both of us and its coming along quite nicely, dont think I can give him enough praise
  17. Its down to personal opinion and taste, if you like it and want one, go for it. But at the end of the day, its not a GTR, so I dont see why people would badge it as one, regardless of how much power it makes...
  18. A big thankyou to Richard and you as well Jayce for offering to let me borrow your standard coils, thanks guys Seems anything ignition related seems to have packed it in over the past week, first ignitor started screwing up, and now two coils are arcing all over the place. But... Ed got me a brand spanking new ignitor pack (although you need to re-wire the electrical harness going into it or the car wont start) and when I get some new good coils and cooler (coming very soon), up she gets filled with C16 and were going for the big hitter dyno run (pictures it now... :Bang: )
  19. The gtr front and rear guards are wider than the gtst. Get a gtr and gtst parked next to each other and you will see
  20. Crap... I need a set of splitfires, my coils were going ok but have decided to pack it in
  21. Confirmed... not sure if its a T88, but it is apparantly very sizey
  22. Does it missfire or just 'cut out'? Checked all standard things like all hoses connected properly, coil packs working ok, spark plugs etc? Also 83 degrees is normal.
  23. Have had a 5 puck brass button single plate (meant to hold alot of power) and currently have HKS twin plate. The single was a bastard to drive, and ended up blowing the clips off it and smashing the pressure plate into 7 pieces... The HKS is very friendly to drive (unlike any other comments I have heard) UNTIL you get some heat into it, then its an absolute bitch and grabs like all buggery (good though). My experience with a single wasnt friendly, so I am leaning towards the twin plates. That said though, I believe its Jim Berry clutches who can do amazing things with a single plate and still keep it very driveable. Worth checking out, when this twin wears out I will definately be talking to them before I automatically go and rebuild the twin.
  24. im interested but lacking cash at the moment with xmas and all... if u still havnt gotten rid of them by new years ill come round and take a look
