  1. See me and hooooolio down by the schoolyard...
  2. Ill be there as always
  3. Spotted skylinegal's baby leaving Russel Offices around midday
  4. As they say, by the time you can audibly hear the car detonating from within the cabin, its too far gone. We managed to squeeze 210awkw out of mine before the fuel pump started maxing out. Some get a little more, some get a little less.
  5. If you really want to splash out on food, just got to one of those meat places and just get a s**tload of mixed stuff, sausages, kebabs, rissoles/hamburgers etc. Hell even $30 would get you a mountain of food
  6. Also the Bosch is designed to run at one constant voltage not varying, or so ive been told
  7. The standard wiring has a relay in it to switch from 12v to 6v (or something along those lines). You apparantly cannot run aftermarket pumps off the same wiring.
  8. Sinista takes out the SAUACT BOFH award for 2004
  9. Well I hope everyone enjoyed last night as much as we did
  10. Just thought id add a bit of spam to our lovely forums and in case anyone is looking for some work...
  11. Happens to the best of us... dont know how anyone else feels, but I've lost control of my car once, and when GTR lets go, it does so in a big way (possibly because the front wheels pull you in whichever direction theyre facing).
  12. I put 2530's on a rebuilt engine (still 2.6L, just with some forged internals, BNR32) and 1 bar would hit like a freight train at a tad over 4000rpm, making not much before hand. When I wound them up to 1.5 bar it only took an extra few hundred rpm to build the extra boost. Put in some Tomei 260in/ex poncams, and the power seems to be more linear and comes on alot smoother, starting to build boost a bit after 2000rpm and on full boost (which is now 1.25 bar) by 4000rpm. The main difference the camshafts made was extra low down torque, which the car didnt have before, it was a complete gutless pig before 4000rpm. -BUT- My turbos are second hand, but were rebuilt by HKS (I have receipts) in Japan before I bought them with 0kms on them after the rebuild. Wether they were rebuilt to standard 2530 spec or not, I couldnt say. Ive been told by a few people they arnt as responsive as 2530's should be, but pack a bit more top end punch.
  13. Alcohol is a tool of the devil ...
  14. Depending on condition you are meant to be able to run up to 14psi but its really "erratic" between cars, for example one of mine failed on 12psi (spat the exhaust wheel).
  15. Did Brent specifically state that the price was to your door, or did you just assume it was to your door as this was the price he was advertising the product + shipping for? If this is the case, it is your fault it was pulled up by customs, not Brents. The onus is on YOU to check with customs regarding items you are looking at importing. Why should Brent play a part in your dodgy tax evasion schemes? He does his best but hey, some times s##t happens. Its been said before, if you dont want to run the risk of having to pay duty + gst, dont purchase items using this method and get them locally instead.
  16. Its a cruise, thats what you do on a cruise, drive I still think the museum is a good central point for everyone to meet and go to cotter, but keep in mind you dont have to come there, you can go straight out the cotter. The museum is like 10 mins up the parkway for tuggeranong residents and 10 mins through the city for northside residents.
  17. Cons: Was at the service station two weeks ago buying ciggerettes when some wanker decided to comment "F##king unsafe cars, you'll probably be next" (referring to EVL-R34). Also the typical booner brigade moron comments, but they dont phase me. Cost of maintaining the damn thing!!! Gearboxes. Pros: The 'mystique' surrounding the GTR badge. Not alot of people know what they are, like they have heard of a GTR but know nothing about them, so they sit there watching and waiting for you to show them what it can do. The unmistakable sound of an inline 6 with solid lifters (nice growl with a metallic noise). I have owned my R for almost a year and a half now and it still brings a smile to my face everytime I drive it. By far the most awesome 'bang for your buck' car availible.
  18. Yes the smart friend is coming... now which one of us 3 is driving? I got no car...
  19. Refer to solid lifter comment above
  20. Its a base map tuned for japanese ignition timing on japanese fuel. I wouldnt go around flogging it too much, but I am sure other people will disagree with me. Does the light flash? The Power FC warning lights flash a sequence of codes, not stay on solid. Check and make sure that the boost controller option is turned off on the power fc. While the car usually doesnt start if this is on (and you dont have the PFC boost controller), I have heard of some starting and just showing the warning light.
  21. Museum is kinda central to everyone, and not fat to the cotter
  22. Ill be heading out. If anyone wants to meet up at the National Museum at say 10 - 10:20ish for 10:30 leave to Cotter. We can then go and stop at a woolworths or something if people need food to cook/drinks etc.
  23. This weather sux
