I have a white BNR32 which has a white engine bay. The car has had an exterior respray but I am pretty confident the engine bay hasnt been sprayed, but I guess I will never know until someone else can confirm if their white one is the same.

Heat spots and groaning noise
Amaru replied to Amaru's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
As an update, I just took a quick (and crappy) picture of the discs where you can see the heatspots. The photo was taken with a camera phone so the heatspots arnt coming up as 'dark' as they are in real life looking at it. -
R32 GTR ABS & 4WD Warning Lights
Amaru replied to CONRAD's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Possibly a fault with the ATTESA system, wether it be low fluid or something else. When the lights come on, pull over, dont turn the car off and pop the boot. Under the rear parcel tray is a silver box with a small led light in it which will be flashing. Wait till it stops for a few seconds then it will start flashing again. Count the number of long flashes and short flashes and it will give you a code (e.g 3 long flashes and 7 short flashes = 37 -- I think thats how it goes from memory, not 100% sure but it will flash you a code). Once you get the code I am pretty sure someone posted up here a list of the fault codes, if not download the R32 manual and it lists the codes in there. Check what code you were given against the list, then it will give you an indication of whats going wrong. The most common problem is fluid in the attesa resevoir gets too low. In the boot on the right hand side theres a trimmed panel you can remove and the pumps behind this. When the car is running the fluid should be between the minimum and maximum lines on the bottle. If its low go to a Nissan dealer and pickup some Nissan "special power steering fluid" (also called Nissan Matic D), its about $13 from memory and top it up (or if youre super keen, flush the whole system and refill it all). -
Nismo 600cc injectors and BNR32 bits
Amaru replied to Amaru's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Injectors have already sold unfortunately, they went within about 2 minutes of me posting this up. -
Nismo 600cc injectors (6) cleaned and flow tested 12 months ago. Removed from car recently, only done 10,000kms since the service on them and in perfect running order when removed from the car. Taken from R32 GTR so top feed injectors. Straight bolt in to GTR, no chopping/modding of fuel rail required. -- SOLD -- Factory R32 GTR front and rear sway bars / anti-roll bars (the bars under the car, not strut tower braces). Ill start these at $100 each ono + postage. Email amaruu at gmail.com or PM me on here.

Latest issue of HPI (with the Autostyle Z31 on the front) has a Z32 TT vs R33 GTS25t comparison... check it out, the article actually seems half decent.

What I have read is the balancer pipe is to equalise pressure between the two manifolds to stop the turbos getting "unbalanced" and "fighting against each other". I put the 2530's on mine with stock manifold and occasionally (usually going up a hill) on light throttle but enough load to start them boosting, they become "unbalanced" and start going "woosh woosh woosh woosh woosh woosh" if that makes any sense  This is simply fixed by backing of the throttle and putting it down again however. Personally I dont think they are worth it, as SK said, that money could be better spent elsewhere imho.

When I rang up for a quote last week they said pay per month would cost an extra 10% and you also prepay 3 months initially (and naturally dont pay for your last 3 months). -
Time to ressurect an old thread... basically I am looking at going to Japan for a year or so to live and if I like it stay on longer. My main question is about jobs... are there any IT related jobs for people who cant speak a word of Japanese? Have got alot of hands on experience in IT here in .au, but no university degree (have a few vendor certs though, namely Cisco). I know I should just come over and see if I can find anything, but on that note if anyone knows these types of jobs are availible it would be helpful Thanks

I had some DBA 4000 discs and RB74 pads installed on the front of my car (R32 GTR) and the rear discs machined and new pads installed not long ago. They were great, however the discs are getting massive heatspots on them and when braking the front left hand side makes a deep groaning noise (its ok to star with but after about 2 mins of driving it does this, and the brake pedal also feels wierd, not pusling but like you can feel something... ripping?). I havnt done any sort of overly hard braking on these brakes, just the normal driving around. I actually gave my old brakes a flogging compared to these ones and they never came up with any heat spots or made the groaning noise. Just after some ideas as to what it could be, and I assume with the heatspots on the discs theyve somehow overheated and are now stuffed? (Or maybe not, I dont know a whole lot about brakes). Any info would be appreciated. EDIT: I forgot to mention the car has Brembo front callipers from an R33.

A car is worth whatever someone will pay for it, however being a newer model id say $30,000 - $35,000 if its in good condition. $25,000 - $30,000 if its a bit rough around the edges. The main negotiating point will be the high(er) kilometres.

I have had the opportunity to see this car in real life (and see it running, and see it on the dyno, it even has my old cat on it ) and it is a simply amazing machine. Not a cent has been spared on this car, I heard of it and before it actually arrived had it in my head it would be a bit of a rough conversion, but upon seeing it, its immaculate. Definately a unique car, and its still streetable... when you want to let go of it make sure you tell me first

Theyre only sold once a year which is the queens birthday long weekend, so not until mid next year.

Yep just set the limiter, turn the car off and remove the hand controller. Just make sure when you pick it up you set the limiter up to standard again... I had a really embarrassing traffic lights grand prix with a commodore when I set the limiter to 3000rpm and forgot to raise it up again
