  1. All the australian delivered R32's I have seen have had greyish leather seats which makes me believe it was factory (at least for the au ones).
  2. yep its your clutch
  3. Im always down for a meet and greet, but yeah somewhere warm would be good. Maybe a cafe of some sorts?
  4. ah ok thats fair enough... my only advice is dont get a brass button for daily driving other than that, pick it up for as cheap as you can then find somewhere to fit it Also try Unique Auto Sports - www.nismo.com.au Theres also www.performanceconnect.com which has a listing of alot of car parts people etc.
  5. the clutch itself probably is around $500... its the labour thats going to kill you
  6. Ed at Integra Automotive can source RPW and Daikin clutches at very reasonable prices and also fit them at very reasonable prices. Give him a call, tell him what you want and yeah
  7. Yep, all imports *have* to go over dickson pits for a roadworthy before registration. From the sounds of it you should be fine, make sure you have either a *ENGLISH* tyre placard on the inside drivers door sill, or an 045 certificate from compliancing. I got f@#ked over hard for missing both of these, and in the end hand to get the wheels engineered. Exhaust noise is 90db at 3500rpm, if youre 1 or 2 db over theyre usually ok with that. Just be nice, be yourself, *do not* get your parents to take it in for you as they hate this. All of the guys there are extremely helpful, and at the end of the day if they fail you on something, dont get pissed at them as theyre only doing their jobs.
  8. Its labour... anything that requires labour is expensive. Fit the boost controller and intercooler yourself (if you want help im sure a few of us can get together and come over one day to do it) then take the SAFC to ed at integra for fitting. He then has a guy that will do a road tune of the SAFC for $150. The guy that does the road tune does extremely good jobs, and uses proper equipment like wideband O2 sensors for air/fuel mixtures, and has a laptop with lots of goodys hooked up to it so he can show you how the car is running, what its doing where, e.g when he did mine he showed me ignition was weak at this point, so to get around it, do this.
  9. The silver 32's damage was limited to the lower lip coming off on the drivers side (as in picture), it managed to just clip it, but wasnt so lucky for ewens car id say the intercooler is an instant write off...
  10. A friend had some similar damage on his GTIR when it was imported from some shoddy forklift picking up manouveres. He just took it to a panel beater and they arranged for it to be repaired... maybe do the same thing?
  11. look whats in the front of ewens car on his avatar, then picture a wombat in the middle of the road
  12. Im having a "problem" with the ATTESA on my R32 GTR (non vspec) and since theres already a thread open about it, thought id ask here Its constantly putting torque to the front wheels, even on light throttle. When I first got the car, it would rarely start putting torque to the front unless I was full throttle or wheelspinning. Now even on light throttle its putting torque to the front, and just cruising along the highway (flat) in 5th gear its constantly putting torque to the front. Anyone know of what causes this problem?
  13. nice man... is it that crazy one you were telling me a while ago about?
  14. Yeah we made it home, came into Canberra city at about 10:30... was a good cruise, think I might venture up to NSW for events more often
  15. Id also like to add whilst I was being an a$$ making turbo flutter noises, I was *NOT* the one yelling to do a burnout :D
  16. Hmm yeah someone on here with a silver 33 gtst at the lights at mobil braddon about 2am... my sincere apologies for being an a$$, i was extremely drunk and im sure you know how the rest goes

I went in there with Aurora looking for an exhaust last year. There were *no* customers in the store when we went in, and he really didnt look all that busy. I asked for a price on a Trust exhaust and he just grunted, pointed at an exhaust hanging on the roof and said "is that all?" and walked off. There was no price marked on the exhaust, nothing, so I left. I used to work in retail and do know some people want the highest level of service, but I believe Im not one of these people. I actually *hate* talking to sales reps, id prefer to just research what I want before hand, go into a shop and buy it. But when something doesnt have a price on it, it makes it difficult. I dont know who it was who served me, wether he was having a bad day or not, but it takes all of 30 seconds to look up a price on something. I know if I owned the business id rather spend 30 seconds looking up a price and possibly getting a sale out of it, than ignoring people in the store and definately loosing money out of it. But as Blitz said above, look at the quality of there cars, they still seem to be able to do some *extremely* impressive work, and thats what it comes down to. However you are treated there is what counts, if you feel like they deserve your money, so be it, shouldnt be based entirely on other peoples experiences
  18. Id be extremely interested in seeing this too, I assume itd be along the same lines for a GTR? Looking at putting one on, what would be the best way of doing it?
  19. theyre all illegal because they make that tututututut flutter noise jks
  20. haha last weekends bbq about 5 - 10 people showed up around 2 - 2:30 then went to kfc i was stuck at friends house changing my exhaust... took a hell of alot longer than anticipated.
  21. I have used Mobil 1 5W-50 ever since the engine was built (10,000kms ago), seems to be ok but the lifters are noisier than most of gtr's ive heard so might change soon. I used to usually use a Valvoline oil filter, but got a Ryco this time and it seems to hold oil pressure a bit better (with the Valvoline filter it would drop pretty low on idle).
  22. more the merrier
