    GTR BOV's

Am looking for a set of GTR blow off valves, doesnt matter which model theyre off, as long as theyre in working condition. Looking to spend upto $150 (thats how much ive been told for a second hand set from most wreckers etc) or will swap for Blitz blowoff valves plus small cash adjustment. Need within the next 1 - 2 weeks!
  3. Can we organise a cruise somewhere for a few weeks after this one, before christmas, with a bit more notice so more people can come ... I should have my car back by then Saw my old clutch today, bet hardly anyones seen a pressure plate smashed into about 9 pieces And R32_GTS4T, so youre the lucky bugger who bought that GTR hey nice car, was looking at it before I bought mine (I got another one that was up for sale around the same time, white with white enkeis power fc avcr etc in Sydney, was posted on these forums for sale too).
  4. Evo are a bunch of ass monkeys, the told me id blown two pistons... the engines finally been stripped, and theres nothing too wrong with it (one minor burn mark, so im replacing the pistons anyway), but in the end for those who know about my car going bang, the clutch snapped and the gearbox went bang.
  5. Probably wont be around to introduce myself on this cruise, got a friends wedding on Saturday (1st), and if all goes to plan I wont be in any sort of condition to be driving on Sunday, if i even have my car back
  6. Ive also got two for sale, one in good working condition, other has lost the exhaust wheel... $500 for the working one and the busted one.
  7. Get it tested, if its in good condition, then id buy it... if its showing low compression, then youre going to be up for an engine rebuild in the near future
  8. compression and leakdown test will indicate if its in need of an engine rebuild (or at least replacement of piston rings, which still means ripping the engine apart) Keep in mind the cars are upto 15 years old... They are excellent cars, and you pay more for the ones in decent condition, but theyre not some sort of "supercar", and after 15 years of life, they are starting to show their age.
  9. Depends how good you are at driving, and if straight line 1/4 mile speed quick, if you have the balls to drop the clutch at 7000rpm..... But they are pretty damn quick if its in good condition, but there seems to be more and more used and abused 32 GTR's going around, that are to put it politely, in shit condition and let down the GTR name.
  10. Checked your oil and made sure the pump is working? We were cruising around in a friends car and it started ticking pretty loudly, we thought nothing of it, then 5 minute later we had a seized engine. Not meant to scare you, but better to be safe than sorry!
  11. SPOTTED: Shell walking to her car in Woden on Saturday night... or at least Mark said it was you

  13. Anyone wanna help me push my car out so I dont miss it?
  14. Yeah a friend has a GTiR and he was giving me a pretty hard time in my GTR, they are quick. Stock, if the driver is good, they can reel off high 12 second quarter miles, so youd need a pretty highly tuned GTSt to keep up.
  15. Hey Simmo, In Canberra id reccomend TEZ Automotive in Mawson, they did my turbos and did an excellent job, cant reccomend them highly enough. They also picked up a few other problems with my car that wouldve gone unnoticed until too late, and theyre a good bunch of guys. If you speak to them, make sure you talk to Ed.
  16. Hey well I just picked my car up with the 2530's and what can I say... damn They are awesome on the street, you can just use a quarter throttle and cruise around nicely, and if you want put your foot down and they spool up very fast (and im only running 12psi).
  17. I am after an oil cooler kit (the whole lot, the cooler, hoses, housing etc) to fit an R32 GTR. Open to any price and condition.
  18. I recently bought an R32 GTR with R33 v-spec brembos on the front, with stock Nissan callipers on the back with cross drilled and slotted discs. It brakes awesome! Pulls up *alot* quicker than a standard r32 with nissan callipers. As for the costs involved in the conversion, unsure, but in my opinion it is a worthy upgrade.
  19. Simmo, Im currently getting HKS 2530's fitted to my R32 GTR as im typing this (I managed to blow a stock one up). Only mods to the car are Apexi Power FC, Apexi AVC-R, 300ZX afm's and upgraded injectors. Due to this (stock cooler, no oil cooler yet, sump baffles etc) it will be running a pretty modest 12psi of boost until I can invest in these things in the future. Ill get back to you with how it goes, and im also in Canberra so we could meet up one day and go for a drive if youre interested.
  20. Had a friend look this over and he said the ??? member and ??? frame were damage to the cross member and subframe, which pretty much means you would never have gotten the car straight again and its been in a pretty high-speed impact. But as said above, open to interpretation
  21. Got mine last Saturday, 71,000km on the clock, and looks genuine as the interior is immaculate as is engine bay etc. Only problem is the second turbo decided to call it quits after driving back to Canberra from Sydney, doh But Ive only had it 4 days but love it to death already
  22. My friend with a v8 commodore raced a N/A R33 GTS with a GTR kit and badges, full look alike besides the flared guards. I agree that GTR kits are ok, but GTR badges are a big no no I think. My friend got all half c*cked thinking he'd beaten a GTR and went bragging to all his friends about how shit skylines are etc, despite many of us trying to tell him it was a non turbo model. But then again on that note, if they dont know if theyre racing a real or fake GTR, in my opinion, they dont deserve to know....
  23. Damn man that sux David Smash Repairs in Queanbeyan do awesome jobs... Barret Bros repaired my sisters Falcon when it was rear-ended, and did one hell of a half arsed job... there were gaps in the doors, boot didnt line up etc, I wouldnt reccomend them to anyone. David's got it all nice and fixed and flush, awesome job, and they even cleaned the inside and outside of the car before they gave it back! I highly reccomend them. And on a side note, if Barret Bros cant even fix a Falcon, how are they going to fix a skyline? :? Davids fone number is 6299 3977, and there out on Yass Road in Queanbeyan... hope this helps
  24. I know im probably asking the impossible, but seeing if anyone has any HKS 2530's to suit an R32 GTR? I need the bolt on kit (unsure whats in it) so I can just unbolt the stock turbos and bolt these on. Im looking around the $3000 mark (which is why I said im probably asking the impossible) but its worth a shot. On that note, id also be interested in rebuilt and high fowed stock items.
  25. If the loss of traction is for 5 seconds or more, its a burnout (negligent driving, sustained loss of traction). Anything less is negligent driving, and they will do you for it. A friend lost traction for 2 seconds, and the cops jumped straight on him for negligent driving, loss of traction. If they didnt book you on the spot though, I dont think much will happen, and then you could possibly argue you had to in order to stop in time (assuming it was an orange light or something?).
