This noise got me defected yesterday, i knew it would happen, i was surprised i lasted this long with the noise. I might investigate into a full catback system now. A v8 resonator hey??, might request for that aswell, i am over huge noise, im all for performance now.....as much as my na will provide anyway. Start with cat back, move onto cat, then incomes the extractors.

Putting an extra turbo to the R33 GTST
geordie replied to supra's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Back to the, lets beat a gtr. The main prob you are gunna have is traction, get some 13" wide rims, pumped guards and 'Y' rated rubber, and then have a shot at it. -
I dont thinkthey are stock and if they are you are very lucky to have them in that condition, my stockies were so perished that the cone was not attatched to the foam surround and the colour of the cone was a half grey/brown colour, they were officialy F$%KD. It was a painful trip bringing my car back from sydney with a dodgy japanese radio, non working cd player and speakers that on max volume were just audible and crackly.

does APEXi make Power FC for RB25DE?
geordie replied to mmmskyline's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
LOL, mine gunmetal aswell, just got some 17's and thats about it for visual fx. -
Ok well i have read all 33pgs......very interesting. I got a r32 gts25, and i am feeling the urge for a turbo, so why not go all out and go for the 3ltr bottom end, considering my car already has the engine mounts and the preffered head for the conversion. Now.......what else can i retain, apparently my plenum is good for the job, i will need to upgrade my fuel system, injectors and fuel pump...yes??? As for the computer whats my best option, a r32 gtst??, or go for the power fc, my goal is 250+ rwkw. 300 would be sweet. Does the r32 puter have closed loop??? I also know before i start the conversion i will need, new diff, gearbox(rb25det), suspension and brakes, so dont mention them. And ofcause zorst. But atm i am just wondering what i can keep of my current engine to cut some costs for the all ready expensive conversion. I will need new oil pump yes?? Thanx in advance. Cheers

I know what you mean, its like a flapping, cracking noise from about 2500-3000, i think its a N/A thing, i got a barrel muffler put on and it just mad it louder sounds kinda cool like you got some funky mods or something, after a while when the engine heats up after 10mins or so it seems to die down a little bit. I can never work out what the noise is, i heard the cams do it aswell.........

does APEXi make Power FC for RB25DE?
geordie replied to mmmskyline's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah im keen to hear what sort of power gains you have made out of those cams. You got same car as me lol, yours 4dr or coupe, mines coupe, i plan on doing a few n/a mods, get the power up a bit. So yeah same q's as nismodified, cost, power etc. Cheers -
You could save a little going for the mtx8 computer, there ~1000-1100 and well they must be decent enough considering sub zero run that on their 9.4sec gtst

Question About Exhaust Systems
geordie replied to SillyFlyFresh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You know how little kids poke there tounge out and vibrate it and it makes that shitty noise well its like that, but a real tinny cracking noise, its really snappy and i remember laughing at a lancer that made a similar noise before i got my muffler lol, its a real lawn mower in some parts of the rev range -
Question About Exhaust Systems
geordie replied to SillyFlyFresh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I got a simple muffler fitted to my car for pure fx, coz i have no money, the muffler is 2.5inlet and 5" outlet, it makes a hell load of noise but in certain parts of the revs, ie: 2000-3000 main offender, it makes a shit crackling/snapping noise, i have NFI what it is but it ruins what is otherwise a really sweet sound. -
http://www.fusioncaraudio.com - go there and access the site and look for the f series woofers, its got full specs and everything there, the sites a pain in the arse coz its flash and slow, xcept for lucky broardband ppl. Of the top of my head the subs max power is 700w, and the fequency range 16hx-500hz,That should be all you need, if your interested we will go from there. I'm from Canberra.

LOL! now thats power hehehehe
-
Yeah the cabinet itself takes up alot of room and weighs alot, but just the driver itself, its not to expensive.
-
LOL, yeah wasnt thinking there lol, well done, i was kinda tired when i posted that up, but meh, i sent two 15" drivers from my home stereo to sydney and i think it cost $15, so yeah this one is a tad heavier than one of those but not 2.......
