  1. Spotted "ALZ 20Y" (I think) just drive past my work chaplin drive lane cove in a maroon 32 GTR?
  2. It was on topic.. It had discussions of alarms and insurance. If the topic you wrote was about you having your car broken into I'm fairly sure that crime rates have a lot to do with the fact that your car had been broken into. Aka someone broke into your car.. that's a crime. - is related to crime rates. So maybe you should actually report the break in. Even if you don't think the cops will do anything about it. At least you have done your part as to report the crime. In the group buy section there is a GPS tracker that are pretty good. They also have a back up battery supply so maybe it's something to invest in even if they are a measley $300 to save your pride and joy. That combined with a decent approved alarm & insurance. You shouldn't have anything to worry about.
  3. Yep, There's a reason why those area's are cheap. ""a smorgasbord" of reasons not to buy, and the Blacktown/Mt Druitt region is regularly held up as a symbol of society gone wrong. Ethnic tensions, high crime rates and aircraft noise are reasons to stay away from Bankstown, and Blacktown/Mt Druitt is no better." "The two other noteworthy increases in crime across the State were a 59 per cent increase in robbery without a weapon in the Central West" "# Sydney Local Government Area, and therefore Inner Sydney Statistical Subdivision, has high recorded crime rates because, compared with other regions, the resident population is small relative to the number of people in the area. In other words the area has a high user population which is not reflected in the denominator of the rate calculation. " http://www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/lawlink/bocs...bocsar_mr_rcs07 I'm not trying to put anyone who lives in the western subburbs down. It is just a well known fact that the crime rates are higher so you have to be a bit more careful. There is plenty of crime that happens in every suburb. Just some of the worse ones tend to happen out in the western area's. And I'm not saying that just because someone lives north or in the eastern suburbs they should be less aware or not have alarms or insurance.
  4. The best thing to do when that happens is to take your foot off the accelerator completely, it usually corrects itself. Anyone who has done a lot of skidpans/driver training and wet weather driver should know to back off while its wet. It's common sense, which unfortunatly a lot of people don't have these days. Even when I'm driving the ute around I have to be super careful because it has no weight and constantly wheel spins. So I'm very careful when turning corners. Your best bet would be sourcing the parts yourself. But check all 4 wheels don't just look at the one you have bent. I think your next step should be to do some driver training or get yourself on the skid pans to learn how to control the car in the wet. These days are great, you will learn a lot from them and how the car behaves in the wet. Cass: You still can't beat me and my snapped castor rod!

  23. Ya I'm not a big fan of repco.. Supercheap usually have a few more things but they are all full of people who don't really have a lot of knowledge of the products or what you are talking about >.< As baron said Kmart aren't to bad for batteries.. they are usually cheap too.. The battery I bought from supercheap bosch gold battery I keep having bad experiences with. 1st one leaked - returned & swapped 2nd one died and wouldn't hold charge - returned & swapped so I'm onto the 3rd one in less then 12 months.. As soon as the warrenty runs out.. *pending on when this one dies* I think I will be swapping brands.
