  7. hey mate ive never had an ant problem in my car before, but can tell you that these ant baits are probably your best bet, even over some sort of surface spray or similar... Whenever I have an ant problem at home, I use Ant-Rid liquid formula.. looks and smells like honey... and basically wipes out the entire nest as the ants take it back to the nest with them... the only thing with it is you will probably end up with a few ant carcasses here and there... I think the majority die in the nest, because I never seem to see as many dead ants lying around as there were feeding on the stuff... so this may be a problem if the nest is in your car.. anyways website -> http://www.antrid.com.au/products.asp can be bought from most supermarkets.. good luck.
  8. Hey Guys, I drive a 96 R33 Series 2, and my passenger head light appears to be shining brighter than the drivers side. I have tried the adjustment screws thinking that it may have been the reflector, but after playing around with it for a few hrs it didn't seem to make much difference. The lights clearly move, but there wasn't any difference in the amount of light. Bulbs have been switched around too, with no change. See below for an idea of what I mean... Any ideas??
  9. I drive a R33 Series 2, and love taking it on roadtrips regularly... whether they be short trips (200kms) up to Shoal Bay from Syd, or longer ones (500kms+) even further up North. Despite the rock chips on the front bar / bonnet and the additional km's, I figure I bought the car to drive it where I wanted, when I wanted... If not I just get the feeling I'm saving the car for the next owner to enjoy..

  12. Lol at this thread. You have made my Monday morning. Good read.
  13. Thanks Fry! I found your pics and guide very useful! Just thought I'd share what I did with my own install over the weekend. For those who don't want to drill holes in their dash for the vacuum hose, you can run both the hose & wiring down a small gap where the door meets the pillar. This gap is large enough for the hose and electrical wiring, and does not crush or bend the hose when opening and closing the door. Just as an added precautionary measure, I wrapped the vacuum hose in some plastic piping from Supercheap. Even with the added thickness of the pipe, it still slid through the top gap in the door and out the bottom quite easily. Fasten it with some double sided tape or similar, and you're done! (just FYI I used stick on Velcro, also from Supercheap. This seemed to work the best for me). On a side note I should also add that although the links to the pics in Fry's post don't work, you can right click and "Save Picture As.." just fine - the full sized pictures still seem to be on the server.
  14. Wow just read this thread for the first time today... Amazing stuff! Great read Rezz.. Please keep them coming!
  15. wow cheers for the clip! looking at the damage in the pic I would have thought the car had been going much faster...
  16. 2 Years?? I would definately sell it too! You may love the car but 2+ years is a bloody long time... If you keep it I'm sure that not even 1 year will pass and you will probably change your mind and want to sell it while you are overseas.. Get it over and done with now I say.. 2 years is far too long to have a car sitting away in storage / garage... like a few of these guys have already stated, the car will depreciate.. and you won't even be enjoying it... P.S. Sorry I don't have any helpful info on storing your car
  17. lol damn... http://www.smh.com.au/news/people/smash-ba...4761510693.html
  18. How is the other one? Does it have any marks or wear? Pic?
  19. Yeah mate to be honest I found it hard to see the difference with the light from a standard globe and the polargs... the light seemed to project the same distance, just a different colour... but in saying that.. I suppose it would affect visibility in the end.. To put it simply... it wasnt like jumping from HIDs down to Standard Lights.. the difference was far more minimal... I'd say best bet is to give them a try... and decide for yourself. I know they are not cheap but I really think it comes down to personal opinion.
  20. Havent tried the Shining Wizards myself, but I can tell you im still using my Polarg Miracle Whites. They seem quite reliable, been using these for at least 6-8 months, and had a set before that as well which lasted over a year.. but yes these are not 5000k.. slightly lower at about 4700 i think... I agree with you though, the mtecs are crapola..
  21. hey mate ill take the oil cap. PM Sent.
  22. hahaha far out that was crazzzy!!!! omg that would have kept u buzzing all day! nice one!
