Beware Of Two Suspicious Character In Silver Ef Falcon
savage GTR replied to Giveitall's topic in South Australia
come and see me at mitre 10 instead. just 2mins down the road and the carpark is alot smaller so less chance for these as$h#les to get at your pride and joy. Besides if you look for me {michael} and say your a sau member , I will give you a 10% discount where I can {cant do on everything though} and get some service at least. lol -
Hey people, I can get hold of a mint RX4 coupe for a great price. I am thinking of putting off fixing the line's gearbox and clutch and picking this thing up. It comes in excellent original condition. All orig interior {showroom condition black} series 5 motor, white paint and no rust what so ever{work all done already} and spare everything. Now when I say spare everything I mean everything. ie 5 x spare right and left guards {brand new} 5 x spare bonnet {new} 2 x spare door skins left and right {new } 5 x spare dash { not sure on condition} 5 x grill front drag way rims on car and brand new set 2 x spare wind screen spare motor {i think orig motor} spare complete exhaust Now if I was to buy this car, I would offload 3 of the spare 5 guards etc etc Can any body tell me what these parts are worth and does anyone know of anyone that would be interested in buying these parts leaving me a spare set of everything else. It's to good to say no to I HAVE 3 WEEKS TO DECIDE BEFORE HE PUTS IT ON THE MARKET Now I know its not a skyline but I thought a few of you people might know some ROTOR people and any help or comments would be appreciated

sounds like fluid leaking from clutch master cylinder line, like mine . lol. or brake master cylinder. mines got a leak from a little hydrolic hose from the clutch mech to gear box . pissy little hose will cost $140 approx . get someone to sit in the car and depress the clutch pedal and look for leakage around the little blo#$y hose. obviously a manualgear box. another thing to check is the fluid level in the booster's reservoir good luck
-
Jazza , more than likely caused by change in back pressure from the new exhaust.
-
more likely to do with the tune at idle . some times just needs to be looked at on a dyno so I wouldnt worry about it to much until you are due for a tune etc. If it really gets anoying then a dyno would be a must. when I had my r33gtst it had a similar problem and mark {tilbrook's}fixed it in a couple of seconds on the dyno.
-
could also be airflow meter. could be worth getting some cleaner for it.
-
no , I have to put my old transfer case onto the new box other wise more dollars. Trying to keep it as cheap an exercise as possible . keep the wife happy. lol
-
To answer your question regarding rebuild cheaper option. You tell me what you would do if a new box cost's $3000 or just for the bearings it will cost $2600. The input shaft is making a racket and you need to get every bearing out to get to it. Plus I've been told redoing the bearing's might not get rid of the noise anyway. By the way , the car does put out 297rwks and to rebuild properly with ppg would cost $9000-$10000 anyway or a holinger is $20000 approx

Who Has Actually Upgraded Their R32 Gtr Brakes
savage GTR replied to SIR032GTR's topic in South Australia
I was going to upgrade the brakes in my 32GTR a while back but the cost of the callipers{brembro} was shall we say $$$ {best price I could get $3500 including second hand disc's} the big thing there was SECOND HAND . Instead I opted for DBA gold series disc's alround and pads which cost $2200 fitted. Yes it would of been nice to almost be V spec but look at it this way. 40,000k later needed new pads only but if I went brembo option I probably would of needed new pads and disc's by now. I heard you get about 30,000 out of brembo disc's {correct me if Im wrong} The DBA series disc's are cross drilled and slotted by the way and work fine. Hope this helps anyway -
Thanks for the reply's people. The reason I was asking is because I can get a brand new gear box from advan in Sydney for $3000 and over here in adelaide nissan wants $3800 but will give it to me for $3400. therefor if I can get it here cheaper than $400 , the change is in my back pocket not nissan's plus more money towards the clutch
-
Can anyone give me a idea how much it will cost and who to use to get a gear box from silverwater sydney to richmond adelaide. GTR getting new box and if its cheaper than $400 then it's money in my pocket saved Any help would be appreciated

R32GTR 1994, 1.1 bar 297kws at the rear wheels -
sort of can understand where you are coming from. My boss has a new ford gtp and cant get to his house down the driveway. he bought a property of lower hermitage rd. He bought a holden ute at first{paddock basher} and just bought the new top of the range mitsu triton thing . Now he owns a new jeep{ wifes and its black} , gtp falcon {his and its black}, the ute{white} and the new triton {u guesed black}. what it would be to have a bottom less wallet. By the way he hates the fact that his $80thou + gtp gets eaten by my $35thou GTR lol

black32, thats fu%&en hot now im drooling . then i walk outside and look in my driveway mmmmm gtr mmmmmmm

Come one madaz, buy a house for $250,000 in salisbury east and have change for a R34GTR lol
-
Did you sign ? the 4wd you are talking about buying is a great car but has all the same problems as our skylines. It's an import and therefor is just as expensive for parts and to service. It was the same car that I always wanted until I spoke to a few owners of these cars. I would suggest a toyota hilux instead {same manufactuer} easier to find parts and service By the way, are you going bush or towing anything? Keep the line . The other half will kick herself for selling it afterwards. My missus did and still does.
-
looks great pete. by the way got my old brake discs sitting in my shed. front and back. just wondering if you or anyone here know what the minimum thickness for them is though.

A lot of you are bagging the northern suburbs, salisbury elizabeth etc. I have lived in salisbury {or surrounding suburbs} since i was 15 and have heard more bad stuff about the south side of town out do the north ten fold. I chose to live out at hewett (gawler} and you should be able to pick up a new{3year old} for the money you are talking about and have change. It is within 40mins of the city and offers that quiet lifestyle with out all the hustle and bustle. Great enviroment for the kids to grow up in {met a young english kid at the park the other day and he played with my daughter, said he had been here 2 month and loved it} Employment on this side of town is fantastic with both of your qualifications. Tech park at mawson lakes or motor workshops etc up ttp{modbury} and as far as your wife goes teacher or vet take your pick another area which is booming is obviously mawson lakes but Im personally hesitant about reclaimed swamp lol. all an all this is a great state and country to live in . best of luck and hope to cruise with you soon By the way , one of the better uni's out this way and it's affordable

marky , I think you should bring that ride over, looks damm hot! If you cant, at least bring those callipers drooolllliiinngggg
