Someone attempted to breakin to my R32GTR today. A screwdriver was used to make an attempt to get into my car . Nice hole just behind the drivers side door handle. Car was sitting out the front of my work in front of the office. My car has an alarm and imobiliser , and a unique sounding exhaust. Everyone at work would know the sound of the car so if they got in and started the car , we all would of been aware . Guess what , there is video surveillance . Hope they smiled for the camera's. I was stupid enough the other day to post a response to thread detailing the where abouts of my car today and walla, car broken into. Car has been there for 5 yrs and nothing until the above mistake. My car wont be there anymore . I enjoy the drive ' but mycars safety is more important , looks like weekend cruises only now. SAU'ers beware as this says that the responsible party are on this forum , reading our topic's. Therefore I would recomend that everybody take extreme caution on what they say. I have noticed quite a few of us mention :eg Gee that is just around the corner from me (stolen car threads especially) and this is just as good as giving these mongrels your address. Guilty party, I hope your reading this !

Hi Dan and welcome to SAU SA. Have seen you about as I live out Gawler way. (silver R32GTR) . Mines a 94 like yours with the carbon cannon. Followed you up the bypass about two months ago (I think if your plates are your handle) but you went mallala way and I went willaston way. GOOD choice of car mate and looks clean. As far as the cat ----what cat. Dummy cat please. 10,000 fine I heard was for the car owner and 1 for the workshop that did the work. The stock GTR cat to replace a stock GTR cat. Come on boys and girl's , look at what hes driving. DERRRR A high performance metal cat is probably the best way to go or dummy (no guts) The stock GTR cat is one of the most restrictive parts on the entire exhaust. Good luck.

This sounds like a fantastic idea. I would go see the will smith movie. As far as the car battery goes, the further back you go in the drive in , there is the little speaker boxes that hang in your window. That is unless you want to pose and show off you new stereo and subs and as a result off you stupidity , flatten you battery. Sorry andz LOL , your car is bloody hot , so why need to show off the stereo aswell LOL.

Sound's like a good idea , but longweekend is a bad idea ,full stop.(check every other cruise). St kilda would not be my first choice of place to stay (last place actually(thinking riots last year after hoon activity). I personally think the caravan park would be more fun (can make more noise and cars under our noses) Plus any lowered car dosent like carparks(multistory) and they dont guarantee our pride and joy's safety. The date seems to change every page . I dont mean to sound so negative but. If you are going to organise a cruise etc , fix a date and if people want to come they will , you dont need to change the date if only a few cant make it . Stick to your guns. I would love to come BUT STILL NEED MORE WORKERS AT MY WORK so I can have weekends off. (boss needs to get of his ASS) . This puts me in the place of maybe , maybe not though. I WANT WEEKENDS OFF I must admit though that I liked the sound of meet at sheparton and forget tent, a cabin seems better. All and all sound like a good cruise.(go along the great ocean road).

Hi Pete and welcome to SAU . Nice ride to by the way. Do you know the current power figure? Never had that problem of being beaten buy a 33 GTR though (yet) .LOL Hope to see you around. For that matter, hope to catch up with every one, LOL 8 months down the road after asking the boss to get a weekend manager (he said yes) but still hasn't happened . Ask the car yard about the defect part , or even better ask the rego office and another car yard . that way your going to hear it from the law and from their competition. LOL

The car MUST be street legal for the caryard to sell it (dosen't mean it is) . Rims can be 1 " bigger than stock I think so unless its a GTR , no they are illegal (correct me if im wrong) Plumb back blow off valves are'nt illegal (depending on the copper looking under the hood) One place for you to lookout for though is the shock strut towers under the bonnet , Look to see if the welds are identicle on both sides.

Hey people , forget about the bbq(sorry steve) how was the track day ? . A mate by the name jason headed out there in his red 32GTR s2 vspec and said that it looked pretty good out there , especially the 2 GTR's getting around. His only thought was about the guy in the honda ($5000 car) who didnt seem to be worried about the yellow flags, and went flying past the 2 GTR's oblivious in his own world. Saying that, I would be hesitant about putting a $30,000 value car out on the track with dic# heads like that on the tarmac. (touch my car , I KILL YOU) LOL He isnt on the forum because his computer isnt online , but said if there was another day , he would be in . Sounded like a great start for the SAU sa section to me . Unfortunatley I couldn't make it even though I was on holidays. The wife had her list of jobs for me to do (pergola) and I had to watch the weather come in and pi#$ me off , thinking of you guys made me feel better though LOL As far as the bbq though , maybe next time some one can bring a sheet and make an SAU banner (sauce even) LOL so people can find you. end of rant

I must agree with^^^ . but has done some good work on my 32GTR for good prices also. As far as boost works goes , I think every one that lives south would use them . LOL

Go for a calcium battery , they cost approx $120 but last along time even with little use. A mate Jason got me mine . He works at BMW next to jarvis subaru. if you want details let me know and ill try to organise one through him for you. By the way , the r33 battery normally sits in the boot and might be to high for the bonnet of the 32. Best check first before you hand over cash.

The sad truth is that most of us are driving japanese write offs. (economical) The cost of repairs there is prohibitive and most are repaired in australia . Plus , correct me if im wrong , aftrer a car hits 5years old , it needs an inspection every year , plus if its crashed (even slightly) its deemed unregistable. As far as the quote of 200rwks , I would ask for a recent dyno print out. Good luck in the car purchase though and remember to trust your gut.

Went for a cruise with my wife and daughter up to mt lofty botanical gardens this morning in the GTR. Come back down via waterfall gully and then home. On the way up Spotted a white R31 coupe heading along main north turning right to elizabeth shopping centre. 9:30am ish Spotted a white R33 s1 coupe on oc'onnell st turning right , in front of me 9:50am ish Heading home Spotted a red R32 coupe . The car was turning from Gorge rd onto lower northeast rd 1 pm ish Spotted a r34 coupe (MissR34) on macintyre rd salis east waiting at the lights at bridge rd 1:15pm ish Anyway had a good morning out with the GTR , wife and daughter

Spotted a blue 34GTR with plates like GTR034 I think , earlier in the week n park terrace salisbury . A couple that both have a 32 skyline each came in to work the other day 2 (mitre 10). And spotted GRIM today on the way to work in his RS260 stagea , good to see it back on the road again.
