  1. My last tune was through Steve at manta racing and it cost $350. He takes the car to wilall racing where Peter Hall did the tune and my 32GTR put out 292rwkws at only 1.1bar of boost. Martin tuned the car at Tilbrooks before that and the car was doing 299rwkws. Peter however said it was to close to detonation. (same boost) This is with no cams, standard injectors and no boost controller. I run 34GTR N1 turbos and they are better than the stock turbos by far. Spool up quicker and more power.(259rwkws) from stock turbos and nothing else changed. I didnt think that you could run that much boost on N1 turbos (40psi) . I hit full boost by 4,000rpm . ? where in your rev range would you be able to spool up 40psi ?
  2. Sorry to hear about the breakins to your pride and joy('s) On another note, the knife look's like a hack knife . It is sold in hardware stores and used for cutting metal by taping the top of the blade with a mallet . Hope the damage wasn't to bad.
  3. Hi Mike , welcome to SAU SA . Another mike with a R32GTR , double trouble Might see you around.
  4. I think you made the right choice Adam, but when I finnally get the chance to come out on a cruise with all the SAU'ers I might let you find out what your missing LOL I've hit the owner of my work up for a weekend manager , (only 4 month's ago) and he's finally looking. Ive only worked every weekend for the last 6 years.
  5. If anyone here has had a fine and read it, you will all see that the issuing cop has to put their BADGE NUMBER on it.
  6. Think I spotted import S13 around munopara about 8:30am sunday morning on the way to work and a black 32GTR with red plates on main north heading towards town around elizabeth on the way home . Spotted a silver 32GTR cruising up park terrace twice today (monday) but couldnt see the plates. Cant miss the sound of a GTR . LOL
  7. Good luck with the surgery Brendon Just think with medical technology these days, In ten years , they will probably be able to grow you some new knee caps. I was told a few years back I might knead a hip replacement by the time I'm 40. Never fazed me due to the ^ above . As you say , we will worry about that when it happens, (theres allways fishing ( from a wheel chair that is )) lol
  8. Yeah, watch out though, were showing our age. LOL Nothings realy changed though, but at least then when knew when and where the defect stations were going to be . Good ol days of panel vans (if its a rockin dont come a knockin) my sticker was has your PUSSY had my whiskers lately I still like the smell of burning rubber that is (^no pun intended) (some one elses tyres that is ) Thats why I like GTR's , 90% rwd then torque split (bit of fun then traction) LOL
  9. Whats the asking price and what type of 33 is it (year gt or gtst etc)
  10. The people at H2P insurance are generally easy to deal with and as said above , talk calmly. Getting aggrow will only make who ever your talking to want to finish the conversation as quickly as possible and wont get you anywhere. However, you wont get your money back , so push for a credit , even if it is only the $60 youve been duped by the bank.(they should have a record(date) of your last conversation ) GOOD LUCK
  11. You have now met the post whore pauly33GTS-t You have now been initiated and are now a fully fledged SAU member
  12. Took the GTR up for a drive to windy point last night. Spotted a celfiro on the back of a tilt tray with another one close behind, (main north rd by memory) and a white R33 on pultney rd going over fullarton rd about 7:00pm. Nearly forgot , a white R33 sitting in maccas at motague rd and main north and another one with a blond chick driving it tuning of motague onto main north at the same time. (bout 5:00pm ish) I must say , Its been a few years since I've driven up to windy point and parked , but have they stuffed up that car park or what. Hard to get in and hard to get out , plus 8 parks now intsead of approx 20. SHAME. All the carparks for cruizing to have either been stuffed up (windy) or been built on (down by the amuzement park at the bay) . MMMMMM the good ol days. (defect city lock in's at the bay at midnight) LOL
  13. Hi and welcome to SAU sa Just remember, the other rules of thumb. If it dont feel right , dont, and you dont have to go and buy the first car you see. Check the forum here and check the price and condition of these cars to give you an idea of what you may get for your hard earned dollars. And yes , an alarm imobilizer is a definite first thing to install if the car hasn't got one. O , and another thing, There are plenty of fella's or girls that will probably be more than willing to come and have a look at a car if you want some advice before you buy the car you may be interested in buying. That right fellow SAUer's And the best thing for work is a work car (cheap run around) Save the line for everything else (It's safe then, no vandalism) GOOD LUCK
  14. Dollars spent not just on power obviously. This car looks stock except for the exhaust and front mount as said but this was my daily driver for three years. I will give you an Idea where the money has gone front mount high flow (tilbrooks special) $1800 HKS piping for above $600 custom manifolds $1200 R34 N1 turbos approx $6,000 (runing 1.1bar ) custom 3 1/2" exhaust from dump pipes back inc high flow cat $2,300 Carbon cannon muffler $500 exedy twin plate clutch (replaced twice) first 1 cost $4thou and got smart 2nd cost $3thou custom bushes for rear cradle suspension $600 offset bushes for entire front suspension $1200 including labour replaced engine mounts $250 airflow meters replaced twice at $350 each plus dyno ignighter coil power fc plus tune $1550 new fuel pump new N1 water pump new air filters $200 (plus purchased stock box $160 plus new filter $200) alarm $600 alpine deck(cd) $400 new focal speakers $600 timing belt done $1000 timing belt tensioners done twice(included above) and another $400 gold dba cross drilled rotars front and back with pads $2,200 theres more but minds gone blank the last bill was $3,800 (clutch $2,500 labour $500 , service injectors $200, new calcium battery $120, replace gear box oil $90 (inc flush) clutch hose $120 , rekit clutch master cylinder plus service. These cars arent cheap to run LOL The turbos are not for big KWS but for optimal response. The only things needed are boost controler and larger injectors (fuel system) and more power. The old parts are sitting in the shed (intercooler , dump pipes, turbos etc) easy to spend $40,000 LOL
  15. Spotted a white R32 at modbury next to the stairs near the underground carpark by woolies. Had a front mount, sunroof and the most important thing, an SAU sticker in the back quarter window. Parked next to you because I knew I wouldn't end up with a door opening into the car.LOL
  16. After having a R33GTST s'2 and a 2000 wrx and 94R32GTR sitting in the drive way at the same time, I still have the GTR . BUT the wrex and R33 cost bugger all in maintanance. Take a GTR for a drive though and you will want one. There goes the spare cash (hip pocket(OUCH)). Sorry , hate to make things worse. LOL
  17. Hi and welcome to SAU sa you have not been initiated and probably will soon Where's pauly LOL
  18. Hi and welcome to SAU. you have now met the post whore pauly33GTS-t you have been initiated and are now a fully fledged SAU member.
  19. I think it all depends on your reason for selling. If you need to sell for economic reasons, consider that you will probably pay $800 for rego and $1000 for insurance every year that it sits there. This works out to be$150 every month that it sits in your driveway and with the market making the car devalue , best to sell as you can. I had a R33gstt s"2 and decided to put that up for $28,000 . My first offer was $25,000 which I said no to because that was the first time advertised and it sat around for another 12 months only for me to sell for $21,500 (ouch). If you dont nead to sell though , dont . ENJOY . My thoughts are that these car cant go to low in value because when you look at the price for parts, they are worth their money just wrecking them. If you have to sell though, GOOD LUCK
  20. I would sell mine for $27,000 . Its a 94 (built somewhere in the last 200 to come off the production line) which I brought over 4yrs ago. Cost me $35,000 back then and have all receipts (over $40,000 spent) . Its silver and looks stock except for the exhaust and front mount. Last dyno at peter hall was 292rwks and compresion was perfect for all six cylinders. R32GTR plates with the car. If your interested pm me , And i will list the mods. Insured for agreed value of $27,500 with H2P. I will cry if you do buy it though so bring some tissues for me.
  21. Spotted twice now > The line came out on a sunday because the laser was needed for family duty with my wife .(YAY ) The car is filfy though at the moment (damm water restrictions) My ears are tuned to hear RB's lol . Were you in your line because I didnt hear you.(very busy day mind u).
  22. The best place to see the eclipse was out my way they were saying. (gawler) It happens every seven years. Its commonly refered to as a blood moon. Isaw it back in 2000 and was just as clear as it was tonight. Its incredible how fast the eclipse takes place. Was watching it in the GTR on the way home from work (sitting at the traffic lights that is ) Amazing!
  23. Glad to hear your okay (s15 owner). Glad to hear the car wasn't badly damaged. On the other hand, I would make sure that you always have some back up meds available because, if you had hit a pedestrian and injured or worse still killed them, you would have to live with that for the rest of your life. LUCKY. Remeber, cars can be repaired , but people's life's , cant be replaced or repaired like cars.
  24. Spotted CleanGTS-t this morning on the way to work. Was following you for a little bit but couldnt get along side of you to say Hello. Typical though, had only just washed the car and it rains. lol
  25. Sorry to hear about your car. Hope it gets found in its original condtion. Yesterday at the gawler coles carpark , As I come out with my wife and daughter, I could see some guy peeking through my cars window, as soon as I was close , i Beeped the cars alarm so the guy would piss of and get away from my car. Its even making me paranoid now.
