  1. Fair call!!!! Cant go wrong with exhaust, After market ECU, bit more boost
  2. I have a complete manual on the 32-33 engine so if you need any more info send us a PM
  3. G'day mate, I have two 33 sedans first was once a GTS which i purchased five years ago at 13000' 1995 model S1, The other is GTST R33 sedan purchased for $14000 three years ago. So price wise they are definately cheaper. The engine, gearbox, diff, brakes, hicas etc are EXACTLY the same, basically it is the coupe with four doors. As far as the aesthetic appeal goes everyone has their own opinion on the 33 sedan. I personally like the looks, many people I have come across like the looks instead of a coupe. So as far as it goes its what you prefer. I have a family etc so the sedan suits me perfectly (and have never ever been annoyed by the police). Despite the 33GTS now having 220KW@the wheels. If you probably want a bit more of a sleeper and fly under the radar a little the sedan is good. If you want the bling go for the coupe.
  4. Goes into the inlet manifold, at the very back on inlet manifold near firewall. Hose does 90 degree turn into a water jacket on inlet manifold. You can see it quite easily. And tho other pipe goes into the side of the block into the water jackets
  5. Hey mate, lived in Townsville last year. I had my tuning done at Townsville Mechanical Service behind A-mart furniture joint. Others in Townsville were not really all that good in my opinion!
  6. Maybe you would like to think about a swap for my other sedan?? Dont know if I want to part with it but? You said you wanted manual Turbo Sedan? My R33 GTS sedan has been changed to manual Turbo, has 210Kw@wheels, Mechanical LSD, Front mount PWR cooler, Forged pistons 40thou over size (nearly 2.6litre), motor rebuilt about 15000km ago, Gearbox rebuilt at same time. New Tailshaft, New Tyres 17"wheels, GTR dash, Bosch 600hp fuel pump, Wolf3d V4plus ECU, Custom plenum, K&N filter. If you are interested let me know as I will take time to consider it? We really want more economical car but this one is not the one I was wanting to part with but we will see??
  7. I have an R33 GTST sedan that we are currently thinking of parting company with for something more economical??? Unfortunately auto but is Turbo, is wife's car. Has TV, DVD player and only mod is pod filter, HKS super dragger exhaust cat back and 16" BBS wheels
  8. Hello all, I have two R33 sedans at home and time has come to consider parting company with one of them. It is a R33 GTST sedan with only mods being the back half of exhaust (HKS super dragger) and pod filter, it has been the family car for a couple of years now and has 139500 km on the clock. Windows have been tinted as dark as legally possible, has had keyless entry installed and turbo timer. Colour is dark grey. Has had timing belt changed at 110000km and serviced every 5000km since i have owned it. Previous owner was a 53 year old lady who I believe never knew what boost was. Will consider swap for a non-turbo Skyline or similar size car of similar value!!! I live at Gold Coast hinterland so anyone in the area are welcome to offer etc! $13500
  9. Not having a go at it being a family car mate, as I have family as well. 2 kids, everyone is a winner. My mates hammered me when I got it as then i was single and they were all like "get a couple blah blah blah." Perfect example they had coupes, we grew up and had families. Im the only one who still has a skyline. Practicality and sports in one, you cant lose. You got my support as a family person!!!!
  10. Ah yes drift barge you say, thats quite funny as since a skidpan is covered in water you are definately using the barge in the right place. Just kiddin No i have only been at Gold coast area for four months so have not done skid pan. Let us know when its on and ill unleash my 220kw and my mechanical LSD in the appropriate manner. Been waiting for an excuse to do so. My car started when i was 21 as a non-turbo and look what happened. So dont write it off as a barge!! + you probably use a tenth of the fuel.
  11. Cool, I have two 33 sedans here in my garage so thats a good start. (Thats if missus joins in). I may even leave the baby seat in too. (go the family cars)
  12. Hey thats funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I was driving along and thinking to myself "bugger me that car looks familiar." Tis a nice sedan mate, got my attention anyhow. Hey good to see interest in sedan only cruise. Let us know if you are interested and we will organise something!!!!!
  13. Hey guys with all the same problem, usually the problem you describe is related to incorrect spark plug gap. If you run above 10 PSI you should consider dropping plug gap down to about 0.7/0.8mm (or get splitfire coils). The reason this happens is because when air is pressurised it becomes denser, therefore more bost = thicker air. Standard plug gap works sweet for 7psi but any more boost requires stronger spark, otherwise the spark is extinguished by dense air. Reducing gap gives less distance for spark to jump so therefore it is less likely to be extinguished. As far as being higher above sea level goes. Once you go higher the air gets cooler, cooler air means more dense air. Im sure you can figure it out. Before anything else REDUCE your plug gap!!!!
  14. Yeah I ran the 1/4 in 13 flat, with huge traction problems. I may only have 220kw@wheels but I changed diff etc since it used to be non turbo to Kazz 2way Mech LSD with 4.11 diff gears so I gained heaps of torque but made same power on dyno. That was at Townsville so you could imagine my traction issues, with street tyres. My car getting painted within the next couple months, so thats the major work for this year. 250-260kw will be easy for that car with the bigger injectors, you probably wont need cam gears or manifold, but then again, it looks cool, and it all helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Thanks for the compliment on the sedan. I fixed his car 6 months ago so god knows what happened since then. I had my Wolf3d V4 plus tuned at TMS, so o belive he should do link too, all you can do is ask. I had a bad experience with crawfords. When i first changed my motor and gearbox i had it tuned there first time and i got 160KW@wheels. Which i was mortified with considering what i had done, they said my cooler was not big enough, could only run 9psi, turbo was too small blah blah blah. The problem was my spark plug gap was too high which i discovered that afternoon. Had it tuned at TMS after i had regapped my plugs and got 209.9K@wheels. So needless to say i never went back. My injectors are at near max at 220kw@wheels now. So any more than that with stock injectors is pushing it, i believe they are around 350cc, not sure however. Rather than get them hi-flowed probably better off spending a little bit more and get larger ones(then tune it obviously). Scan around E-bay and a few places as sometimes you can get a good buy. Check out the sedan on the thread at the moment called PROJECT 4 DOOR UNDERWAY AGAIN, ive been polishing stuff and starting to look good. Good luck with the skyline mate
  16. Yep mate thats me, two tone silver and dark grey. Yeah was only around 200kw when he sold it but it can do so much better than that. I did some work on it after the engine change as it wasnt idling very well. Is a nice car. I have not seen a dyno sheet but it was running like 18psi of boost when they grenaded their last motor, it should have handled that power but its hard to get good tuning in Townsville. I got all my tuning done with Pete at TMS, was pretty happy with him as after each time on dyno he would come do any road tuning for free. (Unless he just liked the four door that is). No i moved to gold coast start of the year otherwise i would go cruise with ya!
  17. Hey mate, bet you bought that car from the parents of Dan at autobarn. He is a good mate of mine, but unfortunately I moved away from Townsville start of this year. Your car there goes pretty hard hey, It had 260kw@wheels but we turned the boost down after it recieved an engine change.
  18. Yes, very true. It is probably the next mod that will be done. Will try to find a way to keep four stud wheels and get bigger discs to suit the 4 piston calipers. Am constantly on look out for the brakes, disc diameter is different by a few mm so I will have to find a way around that. But if it can be done, i will find a way. The brakes at moment are way crappy for the power. I Want to keep four stud to stick to the whole sleeper/surprise package. Bigger Turbo is hopefullly soon but convincing the missus is the biggest obstacle
  19. Just to clarify, I never said that I have not seen any, I couldnt agree with you more, there are heaps. But since i live in Canungra dont get much chance to meet any of them. On average I probably see between 10-20 each time i go down the coast
  20. Im new here too mate, have to meet up. However i dont feel I am worthy of cruising with a GTR, have four door myself. I live up in Canungra, so am keen to get out and about
  21. Thats one nice looking paint job Dave. Thanks for the pic, I am looking at something similar, probably a little bit lighter. Will have to keep an eye out for it in my travels in Brisbane. Looks nice but hey, what did it cost etc, you mentioned it has sparkles, bet that looks good but unfortunately photos never do those thing justice.
  22. Cheers mate, you obviously think like me as I am thinking dark purple or the light blue. The only thing is that I dont ever recall seeing many light blue skylines as compared to purple colours. Its hard to visualise the car in another colour, however sky blue is very rare on a skyline, especially a 4 door. Thanks for your input, it has been noted
  23. Hey mate, have a look at the fuse box in your boot beside the battery, the 33 has three fuse boxes, one in the engine bay, one in the cabin and the other in the boot. The boot fuse box is the one you will need to look at as there is a ten amp fuse that runs all dash lights and tail lights! Also it has your headlight fuses as well. Good luck.
  24. THanks for the reply, I have not seen many 4 door kits that actually suit the car but that is quite nice. I am trying to keep the sleeper look but after seeing that i am tempted?????
