You can see its running 18psi on the dyno sheet and as for 138 mph i dont think so maybe 132mph Update Finding that Optimax fuel is pretty shit getting good then bad runs when refilling with optimax i run just BP now and have no problems or Vortex 98 i am going to try to run the MOBIL 1 High Performance fuel see any difference So far to date i have pushed 502 hp on bp 98 fuel all fuels have been done on the same tune apart from c16 which i modified and fined tuned which i made 528 HP at the wheels Not bad for the standard motor i am taking the car powercruise and will be giving it all its got there and if it lasts which i get some slicks i will take it to eastern creek

Changed fuel to c16 I gained 26 Hp without fine tuning so i can say there is a majour difference I will be taking the car to powercruise so if people wish to have a look at the car they are more then welcome. i am going to mainly be crusing round and might give drifting a go with this package but i dont think its to drift friendly lol
  7. Adrian does your car select gears when your racing. i mean do they go in smooth as mine wont go in. For me to shift i needa shift at 6500 how do u fix this problem other then upgrading to a different box is it something to do with oil or syncros etc

  9. Alot of typing in one night . Anyway Racing at the drags isnt a problem been racing JDs from 8 years old and now some big cars.I prob have more balls in driving my car then the blokes doubting me.I have raced with slicks and at the drags my reaction times are anywhere from .005 to .120. off the point i took the car on the road today did a good half an hour of thrashing lasted me fine so far no missing or problems.It spins the tyres in 1st,2nd,3rd gears but is also axle tramping in so i will need to do some more suspension work. The box isnt selecting gears right so i wont be going drags till i sort this problem out as i am going there to run in the 10s i have sorted the boost creep in the wastegate through a electronic valve now so it will be on boost straight away,no creeping. I will be taking the car to the track and unlike so people in this forum have some faith lol lol if i can get it to spin and go straight on the street then it will go fine down the track with slicks on and if the car doesnt go right i always have some gas to help me be on boost and if the motor blows shit happens ive got my back up Anyways Adrian i dont know if you are having a bitch or talking good ill let my car do the talking IF PEOPLE ARE SO CONIFDENT WITH THERE CARS ALL I CAN SAY IS LNEMUP

So u saying its bad or good ......????? i dont understand what you are trying to say to me I ramp it at 3200 rpm and comes on boost straight away till it hits 18 psi at 7600 rpm i am playing with the boost contoller to get it on boost quicker and it seems to me that the wastegate is bleeding off and opening to earlier

Thanks champ I am trying to get the boost to ramp up quicker but every method i am trying isnt working but will not stop trying untill it is done. i have done about 60 passes on 13 psi making 380hp and about 100 passes on 18 making anything from 490 to 502 varying on temps of the day and fuels. I will update new sheet comparing c16 to optimax on my car and some photos of everything tomorrow
  13. hello Many people have different views Many tuners have different views Depending on the application of what you want changes how much timing you run. If you are building a street car you will need to run a safe timing of close to 20 degrees/18psi due to standard fuels not always being consitant.I have had my skyline on the dyno many times and have found that running to much timing can be good but at times bad as well as i have got a bad batch of fuel. When you go racing on c16 fuel etc you can run as much timing as you can as long as your engine isnt knocking.You are better off watching your knock sensors and checking timing on the dyno then on the street.Air temps of the motor make a big difference on the ability to make a motor run alot of timing too.i found by runing a larger cooler in a street car then what was recommended made me gain more power. More timing will give you more torque but there are other aspects you will need to consider like aftermarket cams can run more timing then most standard cams. I pefer to have a little bit more timing then more boost just because in my own view runing less boost and more timing in your motor to a safe limit and making more power and torque seems to be safer thats my view anyway but everyone has there own views and beliefs. Everything varys and engines are all different you will need to put it on a dyno and experiment.I am and it pays off
  14. hello to everyone I changed Fuels in the car and gained 2 -3 hp i wouldnt call the 2-3 hp a rise in power though different temps in a day will change this I am going to be running c16 in the car to see the difference now prob be more reliable but wont gain hp will update to see how it goes. A friend of mine will be posting the dyno sheet I will be posting photos in the next 2 days Where do i post and how do i post on the site. Is there someone i send the photos too. I will be takeing the car to powercruise at eastern creek and racing it next wenesday night if everything goes well.ill see how far this engine can go if it lasts for 1 to 2 months then im going to run 24 psi and see how that goes. Then i will drop the other motor in and use the NOS to see power out of it with the new motor. I HAVE FAITH IN IT lol 170 passes later and 4 burnouts now lol
