Hey guys, i dont think i will be coming to this, but i can recommend a mexican restaurant. i normally dont like mexican, but went to this place once and it was very impressive, excellent food, service and atmosphere. They even brought out the Sombreros half way through the night for everyone. It was sort of surreal sitting in a restaurant at night with everyone inside wearing Sombreros haha! Fiesta on Oxford 306 Oxford Street Bondi Junction NSW 2022 02 9389 3665 There is usually plenty of parking outside on oxford st too. Price range is approx $17-23 for a main as far as i remember.

How Loud Is A Gtr Foel Pump Supposed To Be?
siksII replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks for that. i have the whole r34 gtr assembly, the pump comes with a thick rubber surround, im pretty sure that would keep it quiet. if he fitted it to the stock bracket chances are its metal on metal to make it fit in a near standard position. i have a bosch pump which is touching the bottom of the tank, but i installed it with rubber everywhere ie no metal on metal, and its only just louder than stock, not noticeable unless u are really listening to it. -

How Loud Is A Gtr Foel Pump Supposed To Be?
siksII replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
they only run partially at idle to stop flowing at the full rate when its not needed. how did it go fitting in the 33gts-t? does the whole assembly slide in or did u just have the pump and fit it onto the gts-t standard bracket? -
Gtr Brembos On Gtst R33
siksII replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
But the rotor is larger diameter (324mm vs 296mm) so you need a bracket to allow the caliper to clear the rotor right? -
the defect means that they think there is something wrong, it doesnt mean that there actually is, thats why you have to go get it inspected etc. so if the mechanic who inspects it thinks it is ok it will get passed. dont take what the cop said as fact, they are not engineers or mechanics, and you get a different story from every one u speak to which shows they dont even know the law regarding this issue properly. go to a mechanic, have a chat to him and see what he says, you may be pleasantly surprised, if not, use the contacts which others have PMd you.

What Persuaded You To Get A Skyline?
siksII replied to Modena's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i was 18, i wanted a 300zx but was told by anyone in the know not to get one, so decided that maybe as a second choice an r33 skyline would do. saw one that seemed like a good buy, owner took me for a test drive, straight away ripped it sideways around a roundabout then nailed it to the top of second, after this point i was more impressed than ever before, and knew i had to have it! (bought it) sold that one, not long after that bought my current 33, same year and colour, reason being i had such a good time in the old one, and i didnt like any other car for the $$. -
200kw Non Turbo R33 Gts.....
siksII replied to Kushil Abeysinghe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
man those rims have to be some of the ugliest i have ever seen, DAMN!! (+40HP minimum) -
for comparison ill add that standard 16 by 6.5inch r33 rims with tyre are approx 21kg depending on the type of tyre, so the gt4s which are one inch wider and larger are 4.5-5kg less each than even standard 16s! damn light.
-
for the track the bilsteins will be better than the crappy coilovers as well.
-
that supra looks awesome, i love it!! Note to toyota: make twin turbo 5.0 V8 please!
-
actually yeah the guy i heard from has them dyno'd and found the same thing plus the springs were different rates even though they were meant to be the same lol
-
have heard from reputable source d2 (and therefore g4 and k-sport) coilovers are crap.

Better Tyres Or Wider Tyres?
siksII replied to lastlineofdefence's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
if u get larger rims you will run a lower profile tyre, and they generally give better feel in the corners due to smaller/harder sidewalls. however, i have found a better quality narrower tyre will probably offer better grip, unless the difference in width is huge. (this is massively general statement since we arent talking about specific tyres) -
hey guys, they will be nowhere near 11 with tyres. tyres weigh a lot more than 4-5 kgs more like double that, i weighed a lm-gt4 17 by 7.5 with tyre and it was 16.5kg. your being 9inch wide should be a couple of kg more than that. attached is a pic of bronze gt4

3000s are only meant for race use, apparently they will destroy your rotors when they are not hot. 2500s are fine for normal use as well as hard track use, and even come oem on some hi performance new cars.

During the day there is another great danger, TOUCH PARKING!!!!! not being sexist, but from personal experience IT SEEMS THAT THE MAJORITY OF WOMEN(males as well but seen more women doing it) THINK ITS OK TO TOUCH PARK AROUND BONDI!!! GRRRRRRRRRR! i have never seen more touch parking in my life other than in bondi, and i am there at least twice a week for the last 4-5 years. my gf parks her car on the street outside her house at bondi and within the last year it has been scraped on every corner, directly on the front and rear, and on one side, all while it has been sitting in a parking spot. if you look up and down the street nearly every car is in the same condition.
-
i was at bondi tonight, i was a little worried about my windows getting smashed so i had my ear out in case it happened, after which something other than a window would get smashed i always used to park pretty much overnight on the street at bondi until my car got keyed one night a few year ago. after that, never even once again!! stupid kids/jealous pricks!

Why Does My Sub Box Have 2 +, 2 - Terminals
siksII replied to 123456's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
if the sub is being supplied enough power and the box is a good size for the speaker/power/car then it should be loud. there must be something wrong. make sure the sub is wired for the intended impedance you want to use from your amp. sometimes it takes a while for the sub to loosen up. when i first hooked up my image dynamics sub it seemed very quiet, a few days later without any settings change it became slightly painful -
How Do You Tell The Difference Between...
siksII replied to Cooper's topic in General Automotive Discussion
most obvious is that z32 ones are larger diameter(same size as rb25det ones) than gtr ones which are visibly smaller -
The New Soft Brake Pedal Thread.
siksII replied to Abo Bob's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Abo, as i said in the other thread (not sure if u saw it) i put down mushiness and lack of feel in most non-gtr nissans to the ABS. have u driven a non abs equivalent of your car?
